Gideon’s gentle husky voice could be heard. “Come here.”
‘The moment Freya heard his voice, she raised her head and saw the man looking at her somewhat indulgently.
She walked towards him at a complete loss.
The man suddenly reached his hand out and pulled her into his arms when she came close to him.
Freya was surrounded by his scent. After embracing her, Gideon looked at her and asked in concem, “Are you cold?”
Freya was dumbstruck. Was he showing concern towards her?
She simply nodded obediently. “A little.”
Gideon looked at her warmly as he said with a gentle voice, “Let’s go back then.”
Freya nodded once more.
‘The man held her as he turned them around. Madison suddenly said reluctantly, “Gideon!”
She sounded angry with her second older brother.
Did he stop caring about her, his little sister, the moment he got married?
She was clearly talking to him earlier, but he only cared about this woman!
Did Gideon really have a change in heart? Did he stop liking Brenna now that he was married?
Gideon took Freya back to the room and let her go after kicking the door shut.
Freya watched as he yanked his tie in annoyance before looking at her.
The man looked very attractive when he took off his tie. The girl in her could not help feeling instantly mesmerized by the sight. However, the moment she made eye contact with the man’s cool eyes, she got scared.
Gideon questioned Freya coldly, “Did you bully Madison?”
“No, I didn’t. I was just sitting on the bench minding my own business. She was the one who wanted to make trouble. She came over and said…”
Freya was about to blurt out the truth regarding what Madison had mentioned about Brenna.
However, she suddenly recalled the last time when she mentioned Ms. Davis, the man threw a fit and kicked her out of his car in the middle of nowhere.
Gideon noticed her hesitancy. He narrowed his eyes and asked, “What did she say?”
“You were the one who asked. If I tell you, you can’t throw a temper at me!”
The man said annoyingly, “You are only in your twenties. Why are you so long-winded?”
Freya pursed her lips. She casually told him about what Madison had said to her. “Your little sister says you like Brenna. She told me I won’t be your wife for long just because we are married. The moment she wakes up, you will divorce me.”
Gideon looked at her as she spoke. There was hardly any expression on her face and even her eyes were completely calm.
He said matter of factly in a cold voice, “She is right.”
Just three words were enough to leave Freya speechless for a long time.
Freya slowly walked over to the couch and sat down. She lowered her head and played with her nails looking completely listless.
Gideon took off his suit and threw it on the couch beside her.
Freya automatically glanced at him and muttered, “When your little sister said I threatened her, why didn’t you just scold me right away? Why did you bring me back here?”
Gideon scoffed gently. “People will talk.”
‘The moment he finished his sentence, he looked at Freya.. “Do you want people to see me treating you badly? If my father gets wind of this, do you want him to take your side?”
