- Chapter 133 - I Am The Commander Of The Second Male Lead’s Knights Chapter 133
Adrian, who would normally have taken it out right away, hesitated for a moment. Nina tilted her head, and with a sigh, he loosened his sword and handed it to her.
“Why? Do you think I’ll break the sword?”
Adrian shook his head as Nina joked and drew the sword from the sheath.
“Not that.”
Nina asked again, admiring the obsidian-like blade.
“That’s not it?”
Adrian said as he crossed his arms and leaned his body against the desk.
“It makes me dream.”
“The spirit?”
“Yes.”
“Ah- I’ve seen it too.”
“You too?”
Adrian asked in surprise. Nina tilted her head because her face was somehow pricked by his gaze.
“What did you dream about, Young Master?”
“That’s······.”
Adrian suddenly could not speak. He picked the words for a while and then spat it out.
“A dream I fought with you.”
I couldn’t bear to say that you confessed to me and that I had treated you badly in the dream.
Do I say it was like an argument? Let’s make it a quarreling dream.
“What did you dream about?”
Nina answered Adrian’s question.
“It seems like there was some kind of war going on, and the Blue Stone Island had sunk, and … a dream in which Fiona appears as a Saint.”
“Fiona?”
“Yes.”
“That person on the missing temple orphan list.”
She was moved to some sort of place.
“Are those just simple dreams?”
Nina asked, looking at the smooth surface of the sword. The black blade was still and translucent as the quiet surface of the water.
Nina slowly leaned her body towards the sword, as if she could hear the spirit whispering.
“Nina.”
Adrian grabbed her arm. Nina, who was so close to the sword that she almost touched the blade, sighed as if she had woken up.
“You’ll get a cut on your face.”
At Adrian’s words, she turned the handle and slipped the sword into its sheath, returning the sword to Adrian.
“If we are the only ones having dreams like this, is it because we are Spirit Contractors? Then, do other contractors have dreams like this? What kind of dream do you think it is?”
“I don’t think it shows the future.”
Adrian could say that with certainty.
He kicked Nina out?
He? Doing something like that to her?
It was ridiculous.
“I think so, too.”
Nina nodded her head too.
“Oh, this is frustrating. It would be convenient if I could ask. I can’t talk to the spirit… hm.”
Nina tilted her head as she looked at her wrist, and Adrian spoke quickly.
“I will not forgive you this time if you ever intend to have another spirit descend.”
Nina flinched and shook her head.
“Ah, no. I was just joking. Really.”
Adrian had a stern face but he nodded his head. While rubbing the spirit crest on her wrist, Nina said.
“But I don’t think it’s a harmful dream. Let’s leave it alone for now. Won’t you come with me to meet with Edgar?”
“Him?”
Adrian thought for a moment, then nodded his head.
‘Certainly, it might be better that way.’
“Okay.”
“Then we will go together. When would be good? I think the sooner the better.”
“I think it would be better to go ahead and finish what Louis asked.”
“Ah!”
Nina rolled her eyes.
“Did you catch it? Did you catch their tail? Do we only have to blow them up now?”
“According to him, it appears to be the largest organization for human trafficking. Kidnapping and abduction are also ways of trade for them. They said that it would be easier for you to deal with them since they will be crushed in pieces anyway.”
“Ah······.”
“The preparations for receiving the orphans in the fief are getting faster. Our administrators are competent.”
“Thanks to Adrian’s selection.”
“It’s all thanks to you.”
He said so and walked over to the chessboard. Black and white pieces were scattered in a mess.
Turning the chess table lightly, he was lost in thought. Nina got up and walked barefoot on the soft carpet.
“What are you thinking about?” (Nina)
“Just.” (Adam)
He said while fiddling with the chess pieces.
“If the Cult and the Temple are one, what kind of influence will the appearance of a Saint have? Why now and for what? Who is the imprisoned orphan? If she is the real Saint as you say, are there two saints? Or is Lucrezia fake? If she is a fake, how does she purify Bellac?”
Adrian took a seed crystal from his bosom. This one was shining with a black light like an onyx.
Handing it over to Nina, she accepted the seed.
“Is it possible that the power of a saint can be put into a seed like this? Or is she using a fallen piece of the corrupted spirit?”
Adrian murmured, and Nina widened her eyes.
“Oh, is that possible?”
“That’s possible. But what’s even more mysterious is······.”
Adrian frowned and shook his head.
“No, let’s think about it later, and Nina.”
“Yes?”
“They said you got a dress.”
“Ah, yes. How did you know? Did Jean talk about it?”
“Nothing happens in this building that I don’t know about.”
“Right”
Nina nodded her head.
“Lady Adele introduced me to them, so I got a few sets.”
“Why didn’t you tell me? Then I would have called a good tailor.”
“Hey, there’s plenty of my money left pilled up. And when I’m working as the Commander of the Dark Knights, I’ll charge Adrian any expenses as much as I can, but when I’m working as Viscountess Dell, I can use my money.”
I was actually planning to buy a small mansion.
‘It’s impossible to find a townhouse as big as the Duke’s in the middle of the capital, but what if it’s a mansion in the suburbs?’
Nina smiled warmly.
Adrian didn’t know what to say to Nina’s smile, so he hesitated and asked.
“So when are you going to wear it?”
“What? Are you curious? Curious?”
“I’m curious.”
When he was plainly honest, Nina laughed.
“I will wear it when I go to see Prince Faradiv.”
Adrian flinched.
“That gu-No, when you meet the Prince?”
“Yes.”
Nina leaned over to Adrian as she looked at the chessboard and said seriously.
“He confessed to me. But I declined. Still, we are trying to keep a good relationship. Isn’t that fine?”
“You just want to wear it.”
Nina laughed at his curt words.
“That’s true. That doesn’t mean it’s a burden to me. What should I say, I want to be nice too.”
“Isn’t that giving too much room?”
“Well, I might change my mind. If that’s the point, why does making room or not matter?”
Adrian paused, looked back at her, and said.
“Do you want to be Crown Princess?”
“What? Whoa, wait- Adrian!”
Nina opened her eyes wide, and then she pulled her body away from him, bursting into laughter.
Her fist lightly hit his shoulder.
“What, if I want to be, will you make me turn into one? Oh my gosh. Me? The Empress of the Empire?”
“If you want.”
“No thank you. What’s wrong with the person who knows best that I don’t want that? I don’t want to be the Crown Princess. I’m just trying to make a lover. Oh, but it becomes like that in the end?”
I don’t want to get involved in politics, so I’d better to quit Faradiv.
Nina thought so with a sigh and pulled her hair back.
“Nina.”
“Yes?”
“If you wear a dress, show it to me too.”
“What are you talking about. Adrian will be the first to see. You have good taste, so tell me if they fit right.”
“As much as you want.”
Adrian laughed softly.
Nina said “Thank you!” and after saluting, looked at the chessboard.
“There are three queens.”
“I have only one queen.”
He pointed to the black horse and said.
Nina laughed.
“Then at least put a crown on it.”
Adrian chuckled.
“I`ll consider it.”
“Okay, then I’ll be on my way. Have a peaceful night.”
When Nina elegantly curtsied, Adrian also politely greeted her.
“Please, let the light of the great spirit seep into your sleep.”
Nina smiled and left the room. While looking at the spirit crest on her wrist, she whispered.
“So. Do you still have more stories to tell me?”
