Nina is not his, she is free.
But it is also true that this situation was painful.
He changed the subject.
“How about the dress?”
“That’s right! I really liked the dress.”
“Really?”
“Yes. It was really pretty. Everyone will be surprised if I wear it to the big ball. Romi Guild can hang a plaque ‘Guild Commissioned by the Duke Luverne’ right?”
“Shouldn’t that be ‘Guild that made the dress Nina the swordsman wore’?”
When Adrian looked at Nina wondering, she laughed.
“Adrian is more famous than me, right? The only thing I am good at is using the sword.”
Since Adrian appeared, the mainstream of social men’s clothing had changed. Nina murmured so and recalled her dress. Come to think of it, she’s never seen a dress like that.
‘This is going to turn into another trend.’
Adrian had no intention of denying Nina’s words, so he just said, “Is that so?” and turned the conversation over.
Nina continued.
“And I talked to Miss Fiona. Should we all listen together? Shall we call the General Manager and the Vice-Commander?”
“Call the Great Wizard along. In the meantime, talk briefly.”
Adrian called the attendant and gave orders to bring the people. Nina explained the situation before the three arrived.
Randell arrived last, and he was not dressed like a wizard at all.
Nina thought he was dressed more like a thief or adventurer.
He had a shirt with a vest, trousers, and boots tailored to fit his leg. Even a leather belt with pockets designed to put and remove various items comfortably.
‘I think it would be nice if he could give some pointers so that we can know he’s a wizard.’
He came in with an annoyed face, then looked at Nina and smiled slightly.
“It’s been a while, Nina.”
Nina nodded her head at his greeting and asked.
“How about the Wizard’s Tower? Is the construction going well?”
“So so. I’m glad I brought the craftsmen from Blue Stone Island. Otherwise, it would have been more difficult.”
“That’s a relief.”
Having no remorse for stealing the talented workforce, Nina was able to nod her head with satisfaction.
Randell crossed his arms and said.
“So there must be a reason why you even opened the portal and called me here?”
“Of course.”
“I have a lot of things to tell Randell, but for now…” and Nina told them about Fiona.
“A Saint?” (Randell)
He spoke in such a clear, sarcastic tone that anyone could see.
“Is true.” (Nina)
He furrowed his eyebrows and ruffled his head. His golden hair and bright blue eyes were always dazzling, no matter how much sunlight there was.
“I know. Otherwise, the Temple wouldn’t have behaved like that. It’s just because I find the Temple’s notion of calling people with special abilities like that, a Saint, dumb.”
It would be ridiculous to say that all humans with special abilities are sacred. It was disgusting to do stupid things that made human beings sacred.
Jean frowned but didn’t open his mouth. He knew it was no use fighting Randell with words. He’ll just want to hit the guy later.
Instead, Jean asked.
“Why did they put the pieces of the corrupted spirit into Miss Fiona?”
Adrian replied.
“You say that you met a transforming Bellac last time, right? And it said there were pieces left.”
At that, Jean said, “Huh?” and blinked his eyes. Louis continued.
“You think it’s a necessary ingredient to make that kind of Bellac.”
“Yes.”
“A Bellac that transforms?”
Randell frowned. As Nina explained, he swallowed his breath. His eyes began to glow strangely.
“I see. If you put the pieces right away, a normal body can’t stand it, so they used a purifier. Clever and relentless.”
Jean said in a voice loud enough that it would split.
“That’s not clever, it’s crazy.”
“Progress always comes from the hands of the crazy.”
“Progress? Do you call that progress? Making humans like that?”
A faint glow poured from Jean’s green eyes. Randell raised his hand.
“I didn’t say that was right. But, there are some who believe that progress is the right path.”
Jean glared at Randell in disbelief, and he turned his gaze to Nina, after smirking.
“Then it would be difficult to create a new Human-Hybrid Bellac as long as the saint is in our hands. I don’t know if they can be ‘progressive’ anymore.”
Louis said.
“Then why don’t we recover the corrupted spirit fragments from our side first?”
Everyone looked at him and Louis tilted his head.
“No matter what they do, it seems that the corrupted spirit fragments play an important role. If that’s the case, we’ll get it back and destroy it first. Their side should get a good setback with this.”
Wouldn’t the production line be stopped if the raw materials were eliminated?
Louis’s solution was radical and simple.
It’s faster and more certain than walking around and destroying a base or tracking down pagans all over the Empire.
Randell had a disappointed face, but he agreed.
“In the past, we had no choice but to seal it with a barrier, but now that ‘Saint’ is here.”
If there is someone who can destroy the pieces altogether, that method is the best option.
“The most famous is the one in the Purple Forest, but there is a legend that there are fragments in other places as well. Although, no one has ever seen the real thing.”
As Randell spoke, Louis nodded his head.
“There are a few places. Of course, it is possible that they moved faster than us in those famous places. There are pieces that have already been recovered.”
“I’ll put some things off until later, we’ll have to find the fragments first.”
Randell murmured.
“I have a place to find it.”
At Adrian’s words, everyone looked at him. He continued speaking as usual.
“I have been researching the source since the first piece came out. If possible, I wanted to retrieve it through informants.”
Adrian looked at Nina. Only Nina noticed a faint uneasiness passing under his smile.
“But it’s quite in an impossible place.”
Randel asked.
“Have you recovered any fragments? What about that place where the unfortunate incident of the Violet Forest happened?”
“Wait, so you’re saying that the fragments were the reason we were attacked?”
Jean shouted.
When the barriers of the Violet Forest were broken, how much pain they had to suffer.
Everyone looked at him in bewilderment at Jean’s cry.
Did you realize that now?
Those words never came out of Nina’s mouth.
Jean shook his head, saying, “Wow, they’re really bastards.” Randell ignored such a Jean and said.
“If there is a team for the retrieval of the fragments, I definitely want to join. My mobility will help.”
“Then shall we go together?” (Nina)
Nina shrugged her shoulders and Randell smiled brightly.
“Nina is always welcome.”
“I’m coming with you.”
As Jean spoke sullenly, Randell said with a mockingly sad face.
“My portal can only be accessed by humans. It’s sad that you can’t go, because a bear can’t use it.”
“What? This punk?!”
As Jean grabbed the handle of his sword, Randell sarcastically said, “Does this bear knows tricks?” and scoffed. Then he was hit in the back by Nina.
There was a bumpy and crackling sound.
“Bad boy.”
(Note: She used a word meant for kids.)
As Nina frowned as spoke, Randell looked at her with a bewildered look on his face and sighed.
“I am not a seven-year-old child.”
“You are acting like that.”
“It’s because I didn’t get an education, but if Nina teaches me one by one, I can get out of bad habits.”
When Randell grabbed Nina’s finger and spoke, Jean glared at once. Adrian was watching the scene with an insensitive face.
“Okay, then apologize first.”
Nina pretended to do what he wanted and placed her opposite hand on her waist.
“What?”
“If you say something bad, you apologize. Now, say ‘I’m sorry’ to Jean and apologize.”
Randell quickly apologized to Jean with a bitter expression and Jean crossed his arms at his dry behavior.
Randell said to Nina.
“If you said that without sincerity, I won’t even look at your face anymore.” (Randell)
(Note: about promising to teach him)
“Really?” (Nina)
Nina asked, leaning her body to him.
Seeing her gleaming gold eyes full of playfulness and laughter, Randell squinted his eyes and looked away.
Nina smiled and straightened her back.
“Someday, you will get in big trouble.”
As Jean warned, Randell nodded his head.
“Then I will allow you the front row seat of the show on that day.”
“You don’t have to save it, I will gladly watch it up close.”
Jean replied as if growling.
“Once we check the contents of the investigation, we have to form a team. There are places that are far away, so it will be convenient if Sir Randell joins us.”
Louis cleared the situation.
How great is it to be able to open a portal that goes far away in a second?
Lorocomo saw Randell open the portal and wanted to introduce it to <Rome Guild> somehow, so he was presenting the idea to Randell.
It’s a revolution in distribution. Lorocomo said so with sparkling eyes.
Louis gave Nina a look.
“First of all, we have to participate in the grand ball.”
