Nina chuckled.
Her pretty dress—Nina sighed at her descriptive power that could only say the dress was pretty. – Wearing it to a ball was something to look forward to.
“Right, you said you were going to attend the great ball.”
Randel mumbled and turned to Adrian.
“Will there be a guest room for me to use?”
“Choose a comfortable room.”
Adrian replied with a relaxed smile. Randell stood up from his seat while looking at him.
“Then I’ll leave now.”
He whispered to Nina, “See you later,” and left the room. As soon as the door closed, Jean spat out.
“Rude bastard.”
“Well…”
Nina couldn’t deny and shrugged her shoulders. Jean said to Nina.
“Don’t hang out with him too much.”
Nina was old enough to still be advised on making friends, but she humbly said, “I’ll be careful.”
Anyway, to Jean and Louis, Nina always took a step back.
Jean clicked his tongue.
“By the way, did you say Fiona? She’s been through a lot. So what happens to her place of residence now? Do we bring her back to our province?”
“I will make the proposal and let her decide it with plenty of time to spare. First of all, we have to visit High Priest Ashton.”
Adrian leaned back in his chair and brushed his head. The fine black hair came back smoothly to its place.
Nina laughed.
“Once the big ball is over, let’s think about it.”
“It will be an interesting arena.”
Louis replied with a smile and Jean said with a face mixed with half anticipation and half anxiety.
“This is the biggest ball, right? Ugh, the previous one was also frustrating…”
“Even lower aristocrats who can’t attend other balls or social gatherings make sure to attend the grand ball. It will be huge.”
At Louis’s words, Jean let out a sigh
“Is His Majesty really coming too?”
When he asked with a voice mixed with expectations, Louis replied.
“Since he came out every year unless something special happens, he will come again this year.”
He turned to Adrian.
“This year, it is known that the Duke of Luverne will also participate, so it will be even more crowded. Please take special care.”
“I know.”
Adrian answered.
“I will be careful.”
Nina also nodded her head.
Louis added to Nina, saying, “Let’s disband early today for tomorrow’s sake.”
“You may call the maids from before if you wish.”
Nina smiled at those words as she remembered the maids, overflowing with passion.
“Okay.”
The maids carefully entered the room at the call.
Nina said she would be happy to receive traditional and passionate care as she attended the grand ball tomorrow.
The maids politely replied that they would follow her will. It was a calm answer without being excited as if they had heard a strong complaint from the butler.
After that, wondering from where they heard the news, <Romie Guild> sent over various supplies.
When the beautiful mother-of-pearl box was opened, each bottle made of delicate glasswork was filled with liquid and ointments.
The maids opened their eyes and looked into the bottles.
“Oh my, is it that new product from Romie Guild? The bottle is really pretty.”
“They say this ointment is so popular. Your skin gets smoother.”
Hearing the chatter of the maids, it was most likely the diluted cure of Kirill that was remade in good proportion and sold as cosmetics.
‘It’s really effective.’
It has a tremendous therapeutic effect that attaches even cut wounds in an instant, so if diluted, it would be no inferior to a regenerative cream.
‘Come to think of it, the first clinical trial was Lorocomo, right? Having experienced the effects with his own body, there must have been no hesitation in selling it.’
(Note: And now that we know that Bleccas repeat the first part of their names, Lorocomo is actually Lolocomo or Rorocomo. But we are not changing after 145 chapters.)
Because it also fixed his broken bones.
Satisfied with the tour of the products, the maids devised a plan and recommended traditional grooming practices – exfoliating after bathing, followed by a regenerative cream – and Nina gladly enjoyed the whole time.
She went to bed early, woke up at dawn, practiced early in the morning as usual, and then went to get dressed up.
Mimina arrived with her dress and polished Nina’s fingernails all the way to the tip.
There was also a box of accessories to match the dress.
Nina’s hair was combed, complexly braided, sprinkled with pearls and silver dust, and then set with jewelry.
She wore lace gloves as delicate as a spider’s web adorned with jewels, one pair was said to take half a year to make. Her fingers were exposed and the design covered only the back of her hand.
‘This is also going to be trendy.’
Since her fingers are free, there will be less slipping when holding the sword.
When Nina got up from her seat after finishing all her makeup, Mimina greeted her with the usual way of the Bleccas.
“It is an honor to be here, Da-Nina.”
“You talk like someone who came to the coronation.”
As Nina threw her jokes, the maids clasped their hands tightly and nodded their heads.
Mimina laughed.
“If you wish, you will become the socialite queen, so you could call it the coronation. Of course, you wouldn’t be interested.”
“Mimina, you are really good at dealing with customers. But thank you. It must be fun to play the role of a queen for one night.”
Nina walked a few times. The length of her dress was subtle so that it doesn’t get tangled or snagged on her feet as she walks. Every time she moved, the sound of the rustling of the cloth was pleasant.
Wearing a dagger on a garter belt with a silk sock fixed on it made her feel perfect.
Recalling Vivian’s teaching, Nina took light steps. There was no strange movement because she had definitely learned and mastered it.
Whatever it was.
As Nina left her room, Adrian, who had been waiting to escort her, widened his eyes.
He looked genuinely surprised, so Nina happily waited for his words. Adrian put his hand on his chest and sighed.
“My expectations were smaller than I thought. I had poor imagination.”
“Oh, Adrian.”
Nina said with a smile.
“Isn’t me always the one who breaks your expectations?”
Adrian’s eyes widened at her words and he smiled happily.
“Yes, always.”
He looked at Nina.
She was like a meteor that cuts through the sky.
No, his words were too poor of comparison.
She was a meteor shower in itself.
Just as people had no choice but to hold their breath, marvel, and look up to the sky where stars were pouring out, everyone would look up to her the same.
“My knight.”
Adrian kissed the back of her hand. The sheer wonder and joy in his eyes delighted Nina and she replied with a smile.
“Adrian is also cool today. Of course, you’re always cool.”
Adrian widened his eyes.
“Nina, do you know this is the first time I’ve been complimented like that?”
“Is it? Adrian, you are so handsome that I am always amazed.”
“Huh? Huh?”
Adrian was rarely embarrassed. She was beginning to doubt if she had never told him such and while doing so, she smirked.
“Adrian knows it, too.”
Because there’s no way you can’t know that you’re handsome.
“And Nina is always Nina.”
He said, trying to cool his red cheeks. Adrian himself found it quite funny too.
He always heard all kinds of praise and he thought he was bored of those worn-out words. Yet, here he was, fluttering so by Nina’s light praise.
Nina reflected on Adrian’s reaction.
‘That’s right.’ (Nina)
Just because others do, it doesn’t mean I shouldn’t praise him. Come to think of it, I was quite stingy with him.
Nina cleared her throat.
“I like Adrian’s hair. It’s dark black, it even looks bluish. I also like that it is smooth and cool to the touch. The inner eyebrows are long and neat, and there are many times when I can’t stand and I often hold back what I want to touch.”
His eyes widened.
“Your skin is smooth, and unlike me, I like yours because it’s firm. It’s like your broad shoulders, and it’s good to be hugged by your arms. I think your eyes are a beautiful rose quartz color, and when I look into them, they are as calm as a lake.”
The reason she stopped talking, was because Adrian covered her mouth with his hand.
He couldn’t handle it anymore. His heart was beating so fast that his face must have turned red as well. Unable to control the reactions of his body like a teenager, he turned his head and covered his face with one hand.
His reaction was shameful, and it created a vicious cycle that made his face even redder when he was embarrassed all over again.
Nina’s eyes widened at his reaction and she laughed. At this point, she wanted to make fun of him even more, but she thinks of Adrian and decided to put up with her mischiefs.
She removed his hand and spoke one last time.
“I really like you, Adrian.”
This was quite a decisive blow.
“Why don’t you both come down? We are all waiting near the carriage, no, sir, why are you squatting?”
When Jean came up the stairs, Nina answered.
“Because I am so pretty?”
“What are you talking abo-?”
It was then that Jean, who had properly looked at Nina, opened his mouth.
