- Chapter 67-1 - I Became a Guide For My Childhood Friend Chapter 67-1
It wasn’t the first time Cassian kissed her because he had to do it since he needed her guidance.
However, Cassian had never kissed her for the purpose of giving medicine before.
Well, that must be a dream, too.
When Yernia opened her eyes for the first time, Cassian was not by her side.
Cassian was there the second time she woke up, but Yernia assumed it was a dream.
“Open your mouth, Yernia. Do it for me.”
Was that really a dream?
Somehow, it felt vivid.
Yernia remembered the words he mumbled as she was about to fall asleep.
“Your stomach hurts so bad because you’re still sick.”
Somehow, it was similar to what her brother said when she was young.
Still, it was a bit different from saying ‘I don’t know what to do if you’re sick, so don’t get sick,’ but in the end, the meaning was the same.
Did Cassian say something similar by accident?
Did he really visit her when she got sick in her childhood as he insisted?
Now that she thought about it, she swore she had seen those dark blue eyes a few times.
Was she manipulating her own memory?
She began to wonder if Cassian really did visit her when she got sick in her childhood.
She assumed it was her brother this whole time since she saw no one else staying in her sick room except him.
However, why did she feel Cassian’s gaze often during that moment?
She had never had that memory before.
In the end, Yernia chose to solve this puzzle head-on.
“When I was in pain… You did something strange to me, Cassian.”
“Strange thing?”
Cassian raised an eyebrow, assuming that Yernia was talking nonsense so she didn’t have to drink the medicine.
“You kissed me.” Yernia continued.
Biting the pill that Yernia should take, Cassian cupped Yernia’s cheeks and kissed her without hesitation.
When she was about to say something else, Cassian’s tongue invaded her parted lips.
“!”
The sudden kiss made Yernia clutch Cassian’s shoulders tightly and her wide eyes were about to pop out of their sockets.
It wasn’t their first time and she could kiss him even if she had to do it multiple times but she couldn’t stop her heart from pounding every time their lips touched.
Eventually, Yernia closed her eyes shut as Cassian gave her the medicine.
She didn’t want to take it but he seemed determined to push the medicine down her throat.
As a result, their moist tongues danced against each other until she moaned.
Yernia’s ears burned from embarrassment.
She really had to swallow the medicine at this point.
She felt Cassian smirk in her mouth as they kissed.
He must have done this on purpose!
Cassian sucked on her lower lip before withdrawing.
This kind of thing———
What was he doing all of a sudden?
Her heart was beating so fast that she had a hard time catching her breath.
Yernia was so embarrassed that she couldn’t even taste the medicine’s bitterness.
“If you’re talking about this, I did it when you were sick and unconscious.”
“What?”
“You have to take this medicine so what else can I do? Of course, I did it for you.”
Cassian, who just confessed that he secretly kissed her to administer the medicine, was a shameless bastard.
However, it was Yernia, not Cassian, who had lost her speech.
‘Wait a minute. That wasn’t a dream?’
To remind Yernia of what he did, Cassian had to give the medicine mouth-to-mouth today to prove to her that the first wasn’t a dream.
“Do you want some water?” He asked Yernia with concern.
Cassian looked like he was going to give it to her through a kiss similar to what he did with the medicine.
Yernia shook her head in amazement.
Then, she took the water bottle and gulped it down so that her stomach burned.
If Cassian was really there for her right then, was he there when she got sick in her childhood?
She had no idea why she felt that way when he dismissed it as having never been there to visit her in the past.
So, it wasn’t just wishful thinking on her part.
“Cassian, you said you visited me before, but… did you really come when I got hurt?”
“I even gave you medicine. Don’t you remember? How disappointing.”
“No, not this time. I meant when we were kids. I’m so confused right now. I assumed my brother had nursed me at that time, but somehow I heard something similar to what you said a few days ago.”
“What do you mean?”
“I remember someone saying that he didn’t want me to be in pain because it upsets him. That’s probably what my brother said, but for some reason… I think you said it, too. But that can’t be true, right?”
When she thought about what happened that day, Yernia never remembered seeing Cassian’s face.
But why did his brother’s features seem to blend with Cassian’s after she got sick?
She heard a rustle when Cassian took something out of his pocket.
It was candy and she had no idea when he brought it.
He pushed it past Yernia’s lips and the sweetness spread throughout her tongue.
“Why are you saying that? I really went to visit you.”
“Wasn’t that a lie?”
He touched Yernia’s plump cheek and said. “I’m not lying. Please believe me.”
“What?”
Yernia’s heart throbbed once again.
At this point, she wondered if Cassian was using his beauty on purpose.
Why did he have to keep talking like that?
It hurts her heart.
