- Chapter 68-1 - I Became a Guide For My Childhood Friend Chapter 68-1
Cassian, who had no operations, for the time being, turned into Yernia’s voluntary slave.
He never left her side and did whatever she told him to do whether it was bringing her meals and feeding them to her or carrying her to the bathroom.
It was alright at first but now she was in trouble.
“How can you wash by yourself? I’ll have to assist you.”
“Are you serious?”
“You’re a patient so just listen to me.”
Cassian took Yernia to the bathroom today to help her wash.
Yernia wanted to wash up but it wasn’t easy to do because of the big wound on her stomach.
Sinira should have assisted her since both of them had the same gender.
Unfortunately, she caught a cold.
“Are you really going to help me wash up?”
“Yes.”
She was asking for clarification but as expected, his response was simple and straightforward.
It was embarrassing but she slowly felt bad.
Why did he have to be so blunt about it?
Cassian neither blushed nor was he flustered as if he didn’t have any other purpose than to help her wash.
His confidence and exuberance were annoying.
Then, she suddenly realized that she used to be like that with him and she even said the same thing.
When she tried to take his clothes off to check her name on his skin, she wasn’t ashamed at all.
“Please take off your clothes, Cassian.”
Cassian had also done the same thing.
Didn’t he see her as a woman anymore?
No way in hell.
Why wouldn’t he think of her as a woman when they kissed and hugged multiple times?
Yernia’s heart would flutter every time she guided him and since then she couldn’t look at Cassian in the same light despite him still staying the same.
It was a little unfair so she opted for a bolder route.
“What are you doing?”
“Why? You said you’d wash me. How can you do it with my dress on? Shouldn’t I take it off?”
Cassian raised an eyebrow in question before he sighed deeply.
What was he sighing about?
When Yernia began taking off her clothes, she reached behind her back and tried to unfasten the button, but she couldn’t reach it by a hair’s breadth.
“I can’t reach it.”
“Argh! You really want to drive me insane, huh?”
“You offered. Just do it even if you hate it.”
What’s with the sudden change of attitude?
It was making her upset.
Only then did Cassian bend one knee and reach out to Yernia who just entered the bathtub.
Before turning her back to reveal what she wanted him to unbutton, a large hand suddenly approached and wrapped around her shoulder as if to cuddle her.
Cassian’s face came right up to her side and began to unbutton Yernia’s dress.
“…….”
“…….”
A moment of silence ensued when they met each other’s eyes.
His hot breath caressed her lips, making her hold her breath.
Cassian tilted his head slightly before moving away from her.
“Don’t wash up.”
“All of a sudden?”
“I can’t help you. I must have had a crazy thought.”
He seemed to have treated him as a patient a while ago.
It was embarrassing that they almost kissed before he withdrew.
But deep inside, she felt better than Cassian saw her as a woman and not as a childhood friend.
At the same time, the feeling was so strange that it made her shiver.
“I’ll wash myself.”
“…….”
“Aren’t you going out?”
Standing there, he looked down at Yernia for a moment and swept his hair up.
Then he shut the door hard and left.
For a moment, she wondered if he was angry.

“I’m going insane.”
Cassian felt stupid standing outside the door with the sound of rushing water behind his back.
He only thought about washing Yernia before treating her wounds.
When she said that she would take her clothes off, he suddenly thought of something else that made him feel like an animal.
What naughty things was he thinking about when his wife was still in pain?
A wave of shame crashed through him.
Cassian should get out of here.
Unfortunately, his primal instincts had responded faithfully to the sound of water coming through the door.
Suddenly, perverted scenarios between him and Yernia continued in his head.
“Oh. I can’t move to the side.”
Cassian shot up.
Should he just open the door and offer to help her wash?
However, instead of doing exactly that, he unbuttoned his uniform.
He was feeling rather hot that his throat went dry.
Cassian couldn’t seem to stay still as if he had a fever of his own.
He paced around the barracks for no reason and sat down on the bed.
He didn’t even want to go outside right now.
He wished that Yernia’s bath would end quickly because waiting was too painful to do.
