- Chapter 22-2 - I Became Close to the Villain Chapter 22-2
Anyway, that cold-blooded person was acting emotionally, so I shouldn’t treat her recklessly. But how should he treat her?
“But she’s not an ordinary person because she has a lot of mana.… No, did the master do it because of that?”
He tapped Vianne’s hand. As if to rebel against him, white magic circle revealed its existence.
“It’s a spell that covers the mana.”
It was a magic he had never tried before. He was intrigued.
“It’s sophisticated… how long will it take to analyze all of this?”
Let’s analyze while waiting. Eustave found his own time-killing task.
But there were things that hindered him.
“It’s the manager! Catch him!”
Immediately, magic flew into Eustave. They were leftovers of Becan legion. His forehead narrowed again.
“Master, I really hate him. I don’t even want to call him the master. Damn it.”
Both of his hands couldn’t be used because they were supporting Vianne. Unfortunately, Eustave could not lift people with one hand like Idris.
Then all that’s left is the feet.
“Eat the magic made by my feet, Becan.”
He scraped the ground round with one foot. As soon as he stepped on it, a splendid magic came out.
Then it bounced back and forth between them.
“Ahh!”
Becan’s group was pierced by it and fell to the floor. Some tried to put up a barrier, but to no avail.
“If he’s going to give me a temporary field job, shouldn’t he take care of those people?”
Eustave spoke to himself.
“Hey!”
Without even giving him a break, another Becan came rushing in.
“Ah, I’m annoyed. I want to go home……”
While mimbling, he pushed the dirt with his foot. In that direction, a magical wave swallowed the Becan.
After that, it was a series of attacks.
Eustave Ilcanes is at the top of the mages under the direct control of the archmage.
Then, three years ago, he suddenly wore a monocle and sat down at his desk. Some speculated that he hurt his eyes and was unable to fight.
That was half right.
It’s true that he hurt his eye, but he still can fight just because he injured one eye…
The magic stretched elaborately around him. It was his way of fighting.
“Why are there so many of them? Or did they specifically look for me? Did I get that much resentment from them?”
On the battlefield, which seemed to be a one-sided attack, there was a person who heard his voice.
Eustave felt the presence in his arms.
Bang!
At about the same time, the guns were fired right in front of them.
As he turned his eyes to follow the trajectory of the bullets, he saw a corpse with the head pierced right through.
“Excuse me, I don’t know who you are, but you talk too much.”
Having said so in a sullen tone, Vianne looked up at Eustave, who was stunned.
“I’ll help you a little bit, so can you close your mouth? It was so loud that I woke up.”
Vianne laughed softly. And then she continued.
Eustave doubted his eyes.
An ordinary person can handle guns?
“What’s your identity?”
“Idris’s friend. What about you?”
“Someone who’s told to carry you.”
“Hmm. Could you be a little more specific?”
Bang! Vianne took one more shot and asked. This time it was a hit.
With a sore ear, Eustave replied with a frown.
“I’m your friend’s servant. My full name is Eustave Ilcanes, my official position in the island is the manager at the central tower, my age is 20, my gender is…….”
“This time it’s too detailed. You don’t know how to stop like Idris huh?”
“Don’t compare myself to him, it makes me feel dirty.”
“Alright.”
Vianne answered without sincerity. Then she asked.
“Where did Idris go?”
“He left you to deal with my enemies. No matter what happens today, he had to deal with them.”
“At the tower?”
“That building you see over there. It is also the residence of the mages and my workplace.”
“Thanks for your kind explanation.”
“Yes. Let’s finish all of them first before continuing.”
“Okay, cheer up.”
Vianne nodded slowly because she lost strength again after moving a little.
Eustave spread his magic again.
If Idris’ magic was like a blade plastered with diamonds, Eustav’s was like fireworks plastered with petals.
The only thing they have in common is that they are both very pretty.
“It’s all over now, Officer Ilcanes?”
I didn’t know what to call him, so I called him that.
Then, Eustave gave me a strange expression.
“Call me by my name or just call me manager. After all, I am the only manager here.”
“Alright.”
I was going to change my tone a little more politely, but I missed the right time. He’s a year younger than me anyway, so it’ll be fine.
“…… It’s all over. Let’s continue.”
Eustave was late to answer my questions. I stared at him and asked.
“Your hair is grayish blue, but your magic is red?”
“The color of your hair doesn’t affect your magic. The master, Idris, is an exception.”
“I see.”
“… Wait. What should I call you?”
“Vianne Astahilt. It’s my name.”
“Can I call you Vianne?”
“Don’t call her that.”
Then someone’s voice intervened.
“Idris!”
I waved my hand to greet him. Idris smiled softly.
“I thought you hadn’t woken up yet. You’re early today, Vianne.”
“I still have enough energy to wake up.”
“That’s a relief.”
Eustave handed me over to Idris and he hugged me comfortably.
‘They’re pretty strong.’
So far, I haven’t even set foot on the ground.
Idris had a faint smell of blood that she had not smelled before.
“Go and order the kids to clean up. The subjugation is over.”
Idris calmly instructed Eustave.
“… What are you talking about?”
But Eustave spoke awkwardly in a firm voice.
“What do you mean?”
Idris asked.
“I’ve never heard of your soft tone before.”
Eustave rambled and said his appreciation. Apparently, Idris used a harsh tone on mage’s island.
“He has always spoken like this since he was a kid, Eustave.”
When I explained it kindly, Eustave looked at me as if he couldn’t understand it.
“No, it wasn’t like that when he was younger.”
“Is that important now?”
Idris cut off the topic of conversation as if it was bothering him.
Eustave eventually left to carry out Idris’ orders.
“He doesn’t like me, but you can use him whenever you need him, Vianne.”
Idris calmly told me about Eustave. I nodded my head calmly.
“Okay.”
“Shall we go to rest now?”
“Yes.”
Idris flew up while carrying me. The sensation of floating felt unfamiliar to me. We went inside through the window of the tower.
I knew Idris had a lot of work to do, so he laid me down on the bed and went out again.
I, too, was tired, so I immediately fell asleep in the spacious bed.
