Chapter 147

Wearing different colors but holding the same pose with their arms crossed, Rosé and Ferre looked very, very serious.
Their little lips were pursed into pouts, and there was a look in their eyes that made it seem like they were army generals who were about to make a serious decision.
However, unlike the serious atmosphere, what they were staring so intently at was a box with round polka dot patterns!
It was a box containing gifts for Prince Aushuvel, who was about to return to the Vaughn Kingdom.
“You haven’t decided yet, Your Highnesses?”
Sera asked the children with a bright smile.
“Mmmh. I don’t know what to give to Shu Oppa.”
Rosé continued to think about it carefully, but she couldn’t come up with an answer. She was just staring blankly at the empty box.
“I like the melon cake. Rosé, can we give melon cake to Hyung?”
“But it’ll go bad before Shu Oppa can even go back to the Vaughn Kingdom.”
Rosé shook her head, saying it was a bad idea. However, she still couldn’t think of a right gift for Aushuvel either.
Her silvery hair drooped down as she lowered her head. Ferre also leaned over the desk and stretched his arms in front of him.
His lips were sticking out like a chick’s beak, and at both sides of that beak were his chubby cheeks.
Sera smiled, thinking about how cute he was that she could just eat him up.
She didn’t expect them to be thinking this hard. Since they couldn’t seem to find the answer to convey their intentions, Sera decided to give them a little hint.
“A gift that you’ll be giving with all your heart doesn’t have to be grand. May I know why Your Highness Rosé and Your Highness Ferre would like to give Prince Aushuvel a present?”
“Um… Because it was fun to hang out with Shu Oppa after a long time, so I want to give him a present that can also remind him of me and Ferre and Heli Oppa for a long time after, too. So that he won’t forget us after he goes back to the Vaughn Kingdom.”
“Then, how do you think you can show those feelings? Remember, we also gave a gift for His Majesty before, right?”
“Um…”
Both Rosé and Ferre tilted their heads in the same direction. Then, Ferre clapped his hands once and shouted in delight, as if he thought of a good idea.
“A letter?”
With a big smile, Sera nodded.

After that, the twins’ ideas sprang up endlessly. In the end, they decided to put ten items into the box that they would give.
It included letters and drawings, and the melon cake that Ferre wanted to give from the very beginning.
Ferre thought that the ride back to the Vaughn Kingdom must be boring, so Aushuvel could eat the cake while he’s in the carriage, or somewhere along the way. In any case, it’s not what Ferre intended, but the cake ended up having a reasonable explanation for being added to the gift.
“It’s full now! I hope Aushuvel Oppa will like it.”
“I think Hyung’s gonna like it!”
Rosé and Ferre placed their clumsily written letters on top of the gift box that had been filled to the brim.
The melon cake might go bad if they added it together with the other gifts in the box, so they put in a drawing of the melon cake. And instead, Ferre promised that he would personally give the real cake to Aushuvel on the day of his departure.
After confirming that the previously empty box was now full, Sera was going to close it now. However, at that moment—
“Didn’t you write a letter, too, Sera?”
‘I wasn’t going to put my letter in though. But it looks like Their Highnesses won’t let this go.’
Sera looked back to see the children’s stern eyes, so she put in her letter as well. She meant to just put it aside, but now she had no choice.
She wasn’t even the prince’s cousin, but just a tutor he met for the first time two weeks ago—it’s impossible that she meant anything to him. Still though, the children thought that her letter was very important.
Rosé just urged her with, ‘The time Oppa spent with Sera is so very important! I’m sure Aushuvel Oppa’s gonna want to remember it, too!’ Oh, how great children’s powers of persuasion were.
With a ribbon, Sera tied up the completed gift box to be given to Aushuvel, then set it in front of the children.
“Your Highnesses can both give it to the Prince yourself.”
Just in time, the blue iron door of the large study opened wide. Sera, Rosé and Ferre all looked back at the same time.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear.
“Prince Ashuvel…?”
“Shu Oppaaa!”
“Aushuvel Hyuuuuung!”
“Are you studying hard, Rosé and Ferre?”
Rosé and Ferre jumped up on their seats and waved their hands at him. Then, they suddenly came close to Sera and whispered with the smallest voices possible.
“Sera, Sera.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
“We, we wanna…”
Sera smiled. Before they could even finish what they wanted to say, she already knew.
“Your Highnesses want to give it to him?”
Sera bent down and went on eye level with the children, and she whispered back with a voice that was as small as an ant’s.
Again, Rosé and Ferre nodded enthusiastically.
‘Well, you were going to give it tomorrow, so what’s the harm of giving it today. Maybe I should just ask them to give the cake tomorrow.’
As they couldn’t wait to give their present to their cousin, the twins were jumping on their feet.
And finally, when Sera nodded as a sign of permission, the twins’ faces showed the brightest of smiles akin to the spring sun.
Hugging the gift box in their arms as they went down from their chairs, the twins soon ran towards Aushuvel energetically.
“Shu Oppa, Shu Oppa!”
“Shu Hyung, Shu Hyung!”
Their glistening eyes sparkled even further.
“This is a gift from me and Rosé and Sera to you!”
