“Can you do that? To formally invite such an experienced teacher….”
“What, it’s just an alphabet. And there might be rumors going around.”
Until now, all the people who claimed to be Michael’s teachers were prestigious scholars known for their high learning.
It’s not strange at all when they go to the Crown Prince’s palace to teach Michael something.
However, the tutors who taught the alphabet to aristocratic young masters who were so young that they couldn’t even take off diapers were different.
No matter how thoroughly you keep the tutor’s mouth shut, all sorts of bizarre rumors will be circulating just the fact that the tutor is going in and out of the Crown Prince’s palace.
Fortunately, Lord George also immediately agreed with Leticia’s words.
“Right.”
“I’ve never taught anyone, but…. But I’ll do my best.”
Leticia said shyly.
Of course, Lord George could teach Michael to write.
But now, Lord George’s confidence had fallen to the ground.
The simple task of learning the alphabet seemed to be enough for Leticia to help Michael alone.
There was no time to waste. Leticia immediately began to teach Michael the alphabet.
Fortunately, Michael learned all the alphabet much faster than Leticia expected.
It was suspicious at first glance, seeing Michael can learn and write all the alphabet in a day but couldn’t speak properly which makes everyone frustrated thinking it was actually a play that he made.
However, there are many things in the world that don’t happen as expected.
Leticia began dictating as soon as Michael learned some alphabet.
Because Michael couldn’t just learn the words with her forever.
“I ate delicious plums.”
Michael wrote something in a flash. Leticia’s face was distorted as she checked the paper.
Seed
After that, it was the same no matter what sentence I said. Even when he was asked to copy and write the same sentence, the same result came out.
Of course, Leticia could understand what Michael had written. If you eat delicious plums, what will be left? It’s a seed.
But there was no way others would understand Michael’s words.
“Michael…..”
Leticia managed to swallow a sigh. In the Empire, the only people on Michael’s side were her and Lord George.
Because everyone else will be happy if Michael looks stupid, the more stupid he looks the happier they are.
In addition, Leticia clearly knew that Michael could speak normally in a few years.
If he works hard, he may be able to speak much faster than that.
“Your Highness, I think that’s all I can teach you. I’ll tell Lord George and ask him to invite another teacher.”
“…..Leticia.”
“I can’t teach you more. I haven’t learned anything.”
“Rock.”
Michael was saying that if a teacher other than Leticia taught him, he wouldn’t budge like a rock.
“Well, Your Highness doesn’t have to move anywhere. Since the teachers always come all the way here.”
“Bed.”
“If you don’t get out of bed, won’t the teacher go to your bedroom?”
“……”
“Besides, I’ll be by your side no matter which teacher comes. So don’t be too scared.”
Leticia thought Michael was afraid of all teachers. Since they were people who bullied him because they couldn’t understand what he said, it was enough to be frightening.
“Name.”
“Yes, I promise you with my name. After all, I have to stay by your side as long as Your Highness is awake. That’s the contract that I signed with Lord George.”
Michael’s face lit up then he hugged Leticia.
“Your Highness, I’m suffocating!”
“Forever.”
It was extremely rare for Michael to say a word that could understand the meaning immediately, so Leticia’s eyes widened.
“Forever is…. But I won’t be able to….”
Leticia tried to say that she intended to be by Michael’s side for the next few years, but she remembered that he was a future tyrant and managed to patch things up.
“I might die before you, right? How can a person be around forever?”
“Coffin.”
“Haha, do you want me to stay with you until you enter the coffin? Your Highness, if you say such a thing when you are only ten, you will be in denial!”
Leticia laughed away and organized the paper, writing instruments and textbooks, but Michael’s persistent gaze did not disappear from her.

“It’s been a while.”
Surprisingly, Lord George brought Professor Tessa Schweiger instead of a new teacher.
“He… Hello.”
Leticia politely greeted him as she tried not to show that she was surprised.
Professor Schweiger asked in a soft voice.
“Then, shall we open the book?”
Professor Schweiger gave them the exact same book he had given them the other day.
“Now I hear that His Highness knows how to read. It seems that there was a little…. communication problem back then.”
“Pebble.”
“He says that he agrees.”
Professor Schweiger raised his glasses.
“Before we begin, I have a favor to ask Miss Woods.”
“I, I’ll do anything I can to help.”
“It’s not that hard… I hope Miss Woods listens to my class well.”
“Yes!”
Leticia didn’t have much confidence but she nodded her head vigorously.
Anyway, she is similar to the goldfish poop hanging from Michael. Even if she doesn’t understand, she’ll just have to pretend to listen hard.
“Of course, I’m not saying that you didn’t listen carefully last time. It was just so obvious that you didn’t understand.”
“…..I’m sorry.”
“What’s there to be sorry about? It is the teacher who is responsible for the lessons that the students do not understand.”
Professor Schweiger smiled brightly at Leticia.
“If there’s anything Miss Woods doesn’t understand, please let me know.”
“Why, why me…. His Highness understands everything.”
“There’s no way to know if Your Highness Michael understands or not. That’s why I decided to match it to Miss Woods.”
Professor Schweiger’s tone was soft, but Leticia knew that no objection could be made.
Since I can guess the reason, I couldn’t resist even more.
No matter how perfectly Michael understands Professor Schweiger’s lecture, if she can’t act as a translator in the middle, Professor Schweiger will storm out the door again.
“I’ll do my best.”
As expected, Leticia had to inform Professor Schweiger about something she didn’t understand about once every five minutes.
Naturally, the class ended well beyond Professor Schweiger’s original plan.
‘I can’t just keep disturbing Michael and the teacher like this.’
Leticia knew that Professor Schweiger’s classes were not complicated by the standards of the royal family.
Above all, it was so miserable to feel like an idiot throughout the class. Leticia was most reluctant to feel that way.
A year ago, I had enough.
So as soon as Leticia sent Michael to the bedroom, she asked Lord George.
“By any chance, can I take a class separately?”
“What does it mean?”
“It’s literally what it means. I want to study separately. I feel like I’m just holding onto Your Highness Michael…. Of course, I’ll pay for it! You can deduct it from my salary.”
Lord George looked troubled.
“It’s not hard to find a separate teacher. But shouldn’t Miss Woods stay close to His Highness Michael?”
“……”
Leticia was speechless.
It was because when I heard it, not only was what Lord George said right, but other problems came to mind.
In fact, if Michael gives permission we can take classes at the easy level together with at any time.
But if he did, rumors of what she had previously worried about could spread.
“Or, how about this?”
Lord George suddenly opened his mouth with a bright face.
“I’ll bring you a pass to the library. It’s open 24 hours a day, so you can always go and read books there. There are more books than in the study room, so you can easily find books that fit your level.”
Library.
Leticia’s head wandered through the meaning of the unfamiliar words.
Obviously, it was a word that I had never heard of before, but Leticia definitely knew it.
‘Ah……!’
It was a word buried in the memory of my previous life. Recalling the meaning, Leticia smiled brightly at Lord George.
“I like that.”
***
“Your Highness Michael, swing a little harder!”
“You did a great job.”
“Swing it ten more times.”
“One, two, three, four……!”
Lord George’s voice resounded in the auditorium.
Leticia sat on the soft sofa under the warm sunlight and looked at Michael, who was eagerly learning the sword from Lord George.
Michael, who had been uninterested throughout all the class, participated passionately in Lord George’s swordsmanship class.
Lord George rejoiced, saying he didn’t know why he didn’t think of teaching swords earlier.
‘Your Highness couldn’t stand sitting still in the study. Well, he is just like his father.’
Leticia thought differently. Michael already knew that the world doesn’t work just with a pen.
‘And later…. Will the swordsmanship taught by Lord George kill countless people?’
Leticia’s face frowned at the bitter thought.
“Leticia!”
“…..?”
Leticia looked up at Michael in astonishment.
“Your, Your Highness?”
“Water.”
“Water…….?”
Michael pretended to gulp and swallow something. Leticia smiled.
“I’m not sick. I don’t need to take medicine, so don’t worry.”
“That’s really amazing.”
It was not for a day or two that Lord George’s amazement could be heard.
“He always tells me it’s water too….. was he worried about me?”
“It depends on the circumstances.”
Leticia shrugged her shoulders.
“When he is thirsty, he says water…. even when he recommends something to drink, he says it’s water.”
“I wish I could understand His Highness as well as Miss Woods.”
“I’m always by His Highness’ side.”
Lord George stared at her. Leticia did not turn her head.
The eyes of a veteran knight were always burdensome to look at, but somehow I felt it was warm today.
Lord George said quietly.
“I’m so grateful. With the fact that Miss Woods is with us.”
