I Have A Computer in my Brain - Chapter 51
Chapter 51: Planet Refiner’s Pursuit
“You have suffered Spiritual Shock, Spirit Strength -1241. Current Spirit Strength is 0.”
“You have suffered Spiritual Shock, Spirit Strength -1302. Current Spirit Strength is 0.”
…
Lin Yun was shocked. Someone was actually causing Spiritual Shock to him in Skynet! Fortunately, he was in the middle of Skynet. Otherwise, he would have definitely been turned into an idiot by the continuous, violent Spiritual Shock.
“Kid, you’re very cunning. But no fox can escape a hunter’s palm, no matter how cunning it is.” Ren Xue’s gloomy voice sounded in his head. Lin Yun felt as if a viper was sticking its tongue out and lying on his shoulder, gazing at him.
“You’re under Spiritual Control. Do you want to use the Spirit Restoration Potion?”
With this electronic prompt, Lin Yun found himself acting like a marionette, unable to act on his own accord. His hands suddenly stretched out, clutched his neck, and slowly tightened. At the same time, Ren Xue’s voice was heard once again in his head.
“How does it feel to be suicidal? I’ll let you kill yourself and then slowly search your memories. Or do you have anything you remember and want to tell me now? If I’m interested in what you reveal, I might let you off and let you die quickly.”
Despite having his body out of control, Lin Yun wasn’t alarmed and said in his heart, “Use the Spirit Restoration Potion.”
“Used Spirit Recovery Potion. Spiritual Control has been lifted. Spirit Strength +500. Gained five minutes of immunity to Spiritual Control.”
Thanks to the potion, Lin Yun quickly regained control of his body. He quickly withdrew from Skynet and searched for Ren Xue through the spaceship.
The screen showed that Ren Xue was approaching the spaceship at an extremely high speed. The spaceship computer calculated that based on his current speed, he would be in front of Lin Yun’s spaceship in about 30 seconds.
“Search for the nearest spatial jump point. Turn on maximum power and initiate spatial jump through the fastest path!” Lin Yun was busy maneuvering the spaceship. The spaceship that was moving forward suddenly turned, speeding up abruptly towards a nearby spatial jump point.
“10 seconds to the spatial jump point.”
Looking at the display in front of him, Lin Yun’s heart was set. As long as he entered the spatial jump point, he could choose to jump in multiple directions. Ren Xue might not be able to catch up to him.
“About to enter the spatial jump point. The 3-second countdown starts. 3, 2…”
“Boom!”
A loud sound was heard from the ship and Lin Yun only felt the entire ship shake violently. His body flew forward and crashed into the screen. From the screen, the spaceship was blocked by a hand the moment it was about to enter the spatial jump point.
It looked like a very ordinary hand.
The speed of the cosmic spaceship was close to the speed of light. How much impulse did it have? It might not be easy to answer numerically, but its power could definitely knock a huge diamond with a hardness of 10 into powder!
However, Ren Xue had easily blocked this huge impulse with just one hand. His palm did not tremble at all.
This… was a Planet Refiner!
“Kid, I’m here and you want to run away?”
Ren Xue’s indifferent voice was heard in Lin Yun’s mind, filled with endless sarcasm. He raised his right leg and lightly kicked this egg-shaped cosmic spaceship.
This seemingly random kick caused the spaceship to suddenly accelerate in reverse. Under the huge inertia, Lin Yun fell heavily onto the inner wall of the spaceship and flew along with it into the distance.
In the next moment, Ren Xue had appeared at the back of the spaceship and once again used his hand to stop the spaceship’s flight. The spaceship that was flying at high speed once again came to an abrupt halt. As a result, Lin Yun once again slammed into the inner wall of the spaceship.
“Then, I’ll tear apart the outer shell of this spaceship and let you, a nobody, experience the cruelty of vacuum!” Ren Xue’s low and cold voice echoed in Lin Yun’s mind.
“Huh? How many little mechanical rats are there?” Ren Xue suddenly stopped moving and turned abruptly.
As far as Lin Yun’s screen could see, several mecha warriors were flying over in the distance. He was overjoyed. This was a human domain, and those mechas were most likely human patrol.
“Who are you, and why are you causing trouble in my Alpha galaxy?” Those few mecha warriors pointed their laser muzzles at Ren Xue in unison to warn him.
“Hmph! A few little rats are not worthy to question me.” Ren Xue suddenly rushed towards a mecha. One shining blue hand was easily inserted into the mecha’s energy shield and directly squeezed the mecha’s energy core.
“Boom!”
This mecha quickly exploded, and a huge explosion drowned Ren Xue’s figure.
“What a good chance!”
Lin Yun was overjoyed and quickly drove the spaceship towards the spatial jump point.
“How dare you want to escape from my clutches?”
Ren Xue’s figure appeared from the explosion unscathed. He snorted coldly and turned around to chase after Lin Yun’s spaceship.
Ren Xue’s actions had angered these arrogant mecha warriors.
“You still want to run away after killing our people? Open fire! Laser cannons at maximum power! Shoot in unison!”
All the mecha’s laser cannon muzzles quickly flashed with a light dazzling bright. Then, the laser shot out and hit Ren Xue’s back. Ren Xue’s movement paused, allowing Lin Yun to successfully enter the spatial jump point.
Lin Yun was overjoyed and quickly activated the spatial jump.
“Kid, don’t think you’re safe after you enter the spatial jump point. Watch me disrupt the trajectory of space and throw your spaceship into an unknown spatial orientation!”
Ren Xue raised both hands high and great, huge star waves emanated from him. It was as if he was a huge planet.
“I’m going to send you to the stars!”
As Ren Xue shouted loudly, Lin Yun’s spaceship shook violently. The screen showed that the entire spatial node trajectory within the spatial jump point had intense changes. Lin Yun’s spaceship involuntarily started jumping along with some kind of strange spatial trajectory.
According to Ren Xue, at the end of the jump was a Sun!
“How rampant! This self-righteous Planet Refiner doesn’t even take us, the Void Rippers, seriously! Use the laser sword!”
Suddenly, those few mechas drew out their laser swords and charged towards Ren Xue. Soon, a few blue laser swords were about to slice Ren Xue’s body.
“Hmph!”
Ren Xue snorted disdainfully, but he had to dodge. If it was a plasma laser cannon, he could still fight against them with the physical body of a Planet Refiner. However, the laser sword was the symbol of a mecha warrior, which was a high-end weapon that could slice through stellar-class warships. Ren Xue wasn’t sure about facing its tip.
As he dodged, his control over the spatial jumping point weakened. The spatial jumping path that originally led to the star became chaotic.
“I’ll take this opportunity and leave it to fate!” Seeing the outside world situation and feeling that the spaceship’s vibrations had lessened, Lin Yun quickly pressed the spatial jump button.
Suddenly, the egg-shaped spaceship disappeared into the vast space node.
It shook violently, causing Lin Yun to feel like his bones were going to fall apart.
From the screen, it looked like Lin Yun had arrived in a place with dark clouds and thunder. His surroundings were chaotic space, and countless strange lights were faintly discernible. The surface of the egg-shaped spaceship was torn apart badly. It seemed that in the next second, the spaceship would turn into pieces.
Suddenly, an area of strange yellow sand appeared on the screen in front of Lin Yun. Then, the spaceship could no longer support itself and finally stopped functioning.
After putting on the respirator, Lin Yun slowly pushed open the door of the spaceship. A wave of heat mixed with yellow sand was blown in. Feeling the surroundings, Lin Yun found that he seemed to be in a desert.
“There’s oxygen in the air, and the concentration is not low. It seems that it’s suitable for human survival.”
The respirator didn’t sound an alarm, so Lin Yun took it down. Warm but fresh air filled his lungs. Looking up, he saw yellow sand all around.
“Huh? There seems to be someone ahead.”
Lin Yun saw a few people in front walking towards him. Not long after, their silhouettes came into sight.
Four people dressed in the standard army uniform of the Demon Race, each holding a firearm, were escorting a burly man. This burly man looked old, with a little blood traces at the corner of his mouth. His clothes were very tattered, and many parts of his jeans had been worn out. On his left sleeve was the symbol of the Human Alliance that had become very vague from being worn out.
“Kid, where are you from?” When those demon soldiers saw Lin Yun, one of them raised his gun, aimed it at him, and asked in a loud voice.
“Big brothers, I’ve come from Blue Snow Planet. My spaceship has encountered space turbulence and fell here by accident. I don’t know where you guys are going, but can you give me a ride?” Lin Yun politely answered.
The demon soldier took a glance at the broken spaceship next to Lin Yun, noticed the unique six-pronged blue snow symbol of the Blue Snow Planet, and secretly nodded. He said coldly, “In that case, you’ll come with us to the base. We happened to capture this human soldier and are going to escort him to the base prison.”
“Thank you, big brothers.” Lin Yun quickly went forward.
“May I ask which planet this is?” Lin Yun asked politely as he smiled at a demon soldier walking at the back.
“This is our Demon Race’s front line, the Red Coal Planet. Recently, multiple human squads have infiltrated this place, trying to destroy our base. This person is the human soldier we’ve captured.”
“May I ask how do you differentiate between the humans and the demons?” Lin Yun asked with a curious face.
“It’s not simple. We demons are all equipped with a unified uniform with a specific identity number. This number is known only to ourselves. For example, my number is SB2567. If two people meet and can’t report their numbers, or if they report the wrong number, they are definitely humans,” the soldier explained to Lin Yun without guarding against him, but he noticed that Lin Yun kept shaking his head.
“What’s wrong?” this demon soldier asked.
Lin Yun smiled slightly. “I just feel that the Demon Race’s method of distinguishing between an enemy is not very rational.”
The demon soldier chuckled and explained, “Everyone’s number is unique and can be checked from the locator device equipped with them. This method was invented by the great Demon Sanctuary, and it’s absolutely rational!”
Lin Yun’s expression suddenly changed and he punched the nose bridge of the demon soldier. In the soldier’s confused eyes, Lin Yun quickly snatched his gun and aimed directly at the four demon soldiers.
“Da da da da!”
After a few shots, the four demon soldiers fell to the ground and died.
Lin Yun smiled slightly and said to the corpses of the demon soldiers in front of him, “That was why I said your method of identifying an enemy is not rational.”
He then extended his hand to the horrified human in front of him and said with a smile, “Let’s get to know each other. I’m Lin Yun of the Human Alliance.”
