Chapter 724: Chapter 724: Electric Energy Stone

The lake was enormous, and Song Jian knew, there were more monsters lurking within than just the Deepwater Crocodile Beast he was currently facing. There might even be more vicious ones.

After a moment of hesitation, Song Jian slowly sank into the water, opened his eyes, and began intently observing his surroundings. The amount of time he could spend underwater was only 15 minutes. The lake was crystal clear. Song Jian spotted many monsters underwater, including dozens or even hundreds of Deepwater Crocodile Beasts. Other monsters, similar to fish with no legs were also plentiful;

Furthermore, the lake contained an abundance of water-elemental creatures, similar to those Song Jian had previously encountered in Jinyang Lake, but markedly larger and more formidable;

Song Jian was there not to hunt monsters and level up, but in search for the limb-regenerating treasure. As such, he carefully avoided any confrontations. When running out of breath, he would swim up for a rest before diving back;

After a little over an hour, he had covered less than a tenth of the area. Despite all the efforts, he didn’t find anything except a horde of monsters at the lake bottom.

“Should I try cutting off another monster’s limb and observe its regeneration process?” Song Jian pondered with a frown;

Suddenly, a strong water disturbance was felt ahead. Glancing forward, Song Jian saw a cloud of silt being churned from the lake bed. It seemed like two monsters were fighting;

All of the surrounding monsters were drawn to the commotion but are soon scared away;

Before long, all the other monsters had completely retreated from the fighting duo;

Song Jian examined the stats of these two battling monsters. Both had first-tier Combat Power. One was a level 35 Deepwater Crocodile Beast, and the other was a level 38 Deepwater Lake Eel;

This stone emitted a strong, pale blue light. Its surface crackled with small arcs of electricity. The Deepwater Lake Eel frequently licked the surface of the stone, seemingly obtaining pleasure from it;

Just then, four sharp long swords raced through the water like lightning. Before it could react, the Deepwater Lake Eel, already gravely injured, was sliced into several pieces. It died without even catching a glimpse of what Song Jian looked like;

“Looks like this won’t be over any time soon. I’ll check once it fully absorbs the Power Stone.” Song Jian shook his head, closed the Pet Space, and walked towards where he’d noticed the spatial crack;
