Chapter 219 – What mellowed out their boss all of a sudden? (4)
By the time Gu Xi had gotten up to the 17th floor, Xu Fei was already waiting for her there.
“Hi Uncle Xu, is my dad not around?”
“Your dad is still in a meeting.” Xu Fei pointed at a conference room nearby and said, “Let’s go. I’ll take you to his office first.”
Gu Xi nodded and followed Xu Fei to Gu Shao’s office.
Xu Fei settled Gu Xi in and went over to busy himself with his other work.
Gu Xi seemed to be able to hear Gu Shao’s voice from inside his office.
His voice was obviously a little louder than usual, with a little anger mixed in with it. It sounded like he was lecturing someone.
This was the first time that Gu Xi had heard this tone from him.
The conference room was next to the office. Gu Xi scooted closer curiously.
The door to the conference room was cracked open a little. Gu Shao walked over and peeked inside through the gap.
And she pulled back almost immediately.
She seemed to have been spotted?
Gu Xi ran back into Gu Shao’s office like a thief.

Inside the conference room, Gu Shao had already looked away from the crack on the conference room door.
“This is not a mistake that should have happened in a professional R&D department. We will not be changing the launch date. As such, you still have one month’s time. You will need to fix the mistake within this month and do the testing per our original schedule. Figure it out,” said Gu Shao.
He was still expressionless, but his tone had changed completely.
As such, right after Gu Shao had finished saying that, even the manager of YS11 R&D department who was being yelled at was surprised, let alone all the others who were there. That was it? The boss was done lecturing them for such a serious error?
What ever had just happened? Why did the boss mellow out all of a sudden?
After the meeting, Gu Shao returned to his office and saw Gu Xi sitting there fiddling with the stuff on his desk.
To be precise, she wasn’t just fiddling, she was organizing them.
Gu Xi had already completely rearranged his desk by now.
His office and desk were normally maintained by his team of secretaries. Sometimes after he had tidied it up himself, they would rearrange his things again according to what they think was reasonable.
As he never had any specific requests, Gu Shao never paid it much attention.
After he had gotten closer, Gu Shao was surprised to notice that his desk had been arranged to how he was most used to.
“You arranged my desk for me?” asked Gu Shao.
Gu Xi had been so focused on moving Gu Shao’s stuff around that she did not hear anyone walking inside the room. She turned around, surprised, when she heard the voice from behind. She turned to look at Gu Shao.
Gu Shao, with a smile in his eyes, rubbed Gu Xi on her head and said, “Thank you.”
Having heard that, Gu Xi’s mouths cracked open in a smile, and she said loudly, “You are welcome!”
She had arranged his things according to how they were like at home.
The way things were at home must be how he liked them the most.
“So why are you here?” asked Gu Shao.
“Em…… I went over to the Youth Innovation Competition today and turned in our materials,” said Gu Xi. Then, after a slight pause, she looked at Gu Shao with her eyes sparkling and said, “Our project was approved again.”
“Mmm.” Gu Shao nodded.
“One of the judges told us that Dad had already build the prototype from our concept! Is that true?!” asked Gu Xi, her voice incredulous and excited.
Gu Shao nodded again. “Yes, we are tentatively calling it T&S.” That was also the name that Gu Xi’s team had given the project.
“So it will be publicly available? Will that happen soon?” asked Gu Xi again.
“Not for a while.” Having said that, Gu Shao went on to explain. “It is still in the conceptual phase right now, representing the current feasibility. There are still a lot of work to do in terms of adjustments and further testing. It would be a while before it will be publicly available.”
That made sense, -ish.
Gu Shao nodded seriously when she heard Gu Shao’s explanation.
