Chapter 264 – “Is this really future technology though?” (1)
Gu Xi’s group was the 67th team up and would have to wait until the afternoon.
As such, the three waited at the wait area.
The three of them sat next to each other at the wait area.
Gu Xi couldn’t help but glanced over at the high and mighty Sheng Xiuyan a few times. She still could not put him together with [AAA] in the chatgroup.
“It just feels different……” mumbled Gu Xi.
Either he didn’t hear it or he chose to ignore it, Sheng Xiuyan continued to play on his cellphone. He didn’t even stir and was both quiet and nonchalant.
If one was to overlook how his ear was turning red visibly.
“Do you like those bulin-bulin emojis?” asked Gu Xi.
Gu Xi could still remember clearly how [AAA] had once filled the entire screen with 99 emojis.
“……” Sheng Xiuyan said nothing.
Gu Xi blinked and continued to ask. “Do you have a whole GB worth of those emojis?” She was still trying to prove that Sheng Xiuyan was not [AAA].
“……” Sheng Xiuyan still didn’t say anything.
Tried as hard as he could, Gu Yanlin finally busted out laughing.
“Oh, nothing.” Gu Yanlin cleared his throat and waved. “It’s fine. It’s fine. Aren’t you two classmates? You should chat some more and get to know each other.”
Gu Yanlin smiled to himself and watched the two of them with the look of waiting for drama to unfold, especially when it came to Sheng Xiuyan.
The Shen and the Gu families were very close to each other in the past and they also hang out with each other a lot because of their parents.
Gu Yanlin was a few years older than the other two boys at home and Sheng Xiuyan. Back when Sheng Xiuyan was just a child and would chase after him asking questions, he had already noticed that Sheng Xiuyan was a goofball deep down inside.
When he had gotten older, however, he would pretend to be mature in front of others and was way less fun to play with.
Now that his high and mighty character setting had crumbled, and that Gu Xi was in the same class as him, Gu Yanlin was very curious to see how Sheng Xiuyan planned to salvage the situation. Haha.
Gu Yanlin looked at Sheng Xiuyan, enjoying his misery.
“……”
Sheng Xiuyan’s original plan was to ignore it all the way but with an interesting and a curious look from the siblings, he couldn’t bare to fake it anymore. Finally, he cleared his throat, put on a serious look, and started to say, “We should walk through the steps for our afternoon presentation.”
“It’s fine really. I’m in no rush,” said Gu Yanlin casually.
That being said, Gu Yanlin turned serious after their exhibition that afternoon was brought up.
“The 15-minute time when the group before us is presenting is the key. I did some math yesterday. 15 minutes is not a short time but we don’t have any to waste either.” Pausing, Gu Yanlin looked over at Gu Xi and Sheng Xiuyan before he continued, “As such, we will need to start as soon as we are in position. Do as we had planned yesterday and no mistakes. Can we do that?”
Gu Xi nodded and Sheng Xiuyan, too, acknowledged it coolly.
“Then there’s the exhibition itself……” When he was done talking about the preparation before the exhibition, Gu Yanlin went on to talk about the division of labor during the exhibition. “We have the console on the right. Position wise, I’ll be in the back and you two stand here. I’ll take care of the controlling backstage. You two will be responsible for the operations on the front end and the presentation……”
“You got that?” Gu Yanlin looked over at Sheng Xiuyan when he was done talking.
He trusted his own precious Lu Shao innately.
Sheng Xiuyan gave Gu Yanlin a look and expressed nonchalantly, “Piece of cake.”
“Alright, moving onto the details then.”
Speaking of, even Gu Yanlin felt that they were simply amazing. Their team of three was meeting for the first time immediately before the first round of competition to talk about division of labor.
Luckily, the three of them already know each other well and didn’t need time to work out the kinks. That and their presentation was quite far back and they had sufficient time to discuss and get ready.
