Chapter 18
As soon as the door opened, a terrible odor assaulted her nose. It was like the smell of rotting garbage. Unknowingly, Danae blocked her nose with her hands and stepped back, when she suddenly heard the surprised voice of Cissé in front of her.
“……How are you here?”
When Danae looked up reflexively, the pale and tired face of Cissé caught her eyes. There was even blood on his face.
“Oh! Blood!”
As she reached out in surprise, Cissé turned his head and avoided her touch before she could reach him.
“It’s not my blood.”
“Then who…?
As she muttered and turned her eyes away from his face, she saw something moving in the dark behind Cissé.
‘What was that?’
However, before she could figure out the identity of the moving figure, Cissé walked through the door and locked it.
“How did you get here?”
He usually spoke in a cutting way, but it was more sharp than before.
“I was looking for Cissé. I was wandering around and wondered if you were in here.”
“…… you just wandered around and came all the way here?”
“Yes, you weren’t anywhere I looked so I decided to go to a place I’ve never been before.”
Of course it’s a lie, but the sharp Cissé’s spirit had eased a little.
“It’s not a place for you to come. Don’t ever come back next time, okay?”
She nodded and held out her handkerchief to Cissé, but he refused and lifted up his sleeve to wipe the blood off his cheek.
‘Looking at the situation…’
The most probable answer was that the figure inside was the assassin who attacked the carriage. It also meant that Cissé, the Sage of the Tower, was not able to get satisfactory information yet.
‘Then it’s either one of two answers . Either the other person really doesn’t know anything, or there is a strong mental protection magic at play.”
Either way, it was annoying.
Sigh.
Looking at Danae sighing, Cissé bent down to Danae’s eye level. The blue eyes of her third brother showed confusion.
“Why?”
“What?”
“Why are you sighing?”
“It’s nothing.”
“Why are you sighing when nothing’s wrong? Why were you looking for me?”
“Ah!”
Danae remembered the real purpose she had forgotten about until asked by Cissé.
“Dance!”
“Dance?”
“Yes, there’s a ball in the capital, and I have to dance at the party. But I can’t dance….”
“So you want to learn from me?”
“Sir Jaydin said you were the best dancer.”
“Hmm. Okay, I’ll be your dance teacher.”
The corner of the Cissé’s mouth was slightly raised as if he didn’t mind the compliment.
“But!”
“But?”
“Not now.”
His pale face showed that he was not in a condition to teach anyone how to dance. As if he had read the worries in her eyes, the third brother grinned and touched her forehead with his finger.
“What do you young people know?”
“I know that Cissé needs sleep.”
“What?”
“So let’s go! To bed!”
She grabbed his hand and started walking towards his room. The employees watched with opened mouths as they watched Cissé being dragged by Danae without protesting. She dragged him to the bed with a firm grip and covered him with a blanket. Cissé smiled and quietly lay on the bed and closed his eyes laughing at the situation.
“Do you need a lullaby?”
“Am I a kid?”
“I’m a kid. So I’ll sing a lullaby.”
“What kind of logic is that?”
But even though he said so, the third brother didn’t stop her. That’s why even Danae fell asleep because she got sleepy due to the lullaby that she sang…
‘It’s embarrassing, so let’s keep it a secret.’

“Why can’t you copy this?”
He looked down at me as if he couldn’t understand why she couldn’t understand. His eyes were full of severity..
‘I hate myself, who couldn’t defend myself in front of those eyes.’
The only thing Danae realized today was that she was a terrible dancer.
‘It was okay when I swung the sword!’
So she had a little bit of confidence.
Danae was confident that even if she learned a little, she would be able to dance elegantly in no time!
But dancing was a completely different world.
Even though she remembered the sequence in her head, her body refused to follow it. She threw off her shoes and sat down on the floor.
“I know, I know. Why can’t I copy you? It’s just moving my feet!”
As Danae grabbed her head staring at her messed-up feet, Cissé squatted in front of her. His eyes were on her foot, which had been scarred by the shoes.
“You’re too self-reliant.”
“Is that bad?”
“It’s a great trait. But when you dance, you’re not trying to fight the other person. You’re working with your partner.”
“But you seem to be the least talented person when it comes to working with others, but you dance well.”
“There’s nothing that can’t be done,”Cissé said, pulling Danae’s cheek with his hand.
“You don’t trust me?”
“I believe you.”
She’d confirmed with both eyes that Cissé was a good dancer, so at least she could trust him when she dances.
“But why can’t I move my body well”
“That’s it.”
Danae had never relied on anyone in her life. She had to do everything by herself.
The third brother sighed deeply as he saw her, who refused to comment.
“If you can’t, just put your feet on my feet. From a distance, it will look like you’re dancing.”
“What if I’m dancing with someone else?”
“You were going to dance with someone else? I don’t think the Grand Duke’s gonna let that happen….” Cissé tilted his head.
She was going to ask why he thought so, but the closed door flung open and the Baratheon stormed in.
“Hey! You said you’d learn swordsmanship from Haydin!”
“I haven’t learned yet. But that’s the plan.”
“That’s it! But…….” Baratheon, who came in like a storm, opened his eyes wide when he saw the Cissé with me.
“What, why are you here?”
“I was teaching Danae how to dance.”
“Dance?”
“Yes, the tutor said it was necessary when she went to the capital.”
Baratheon’s face became more and more distorted by Cissé’s calmness.
“What! Learning swordsmanship from Haydin and learning dancing from Cissé! Why don’t you learn anything from me?”
“You have to know something in order to teach, you idiot.”
“I can teach her well, too!”
“So what?”
“That’s!”
Baratheon, who shouted confidently, stopped talking and began to move his eyes from side to side.
“It’s…” When he shouted again, his confidence was reduced by more than half.
“Look, he doesn’t have anything to teach you.”
“Uh, um, how to drink water fast?”
“What does she need that for?”
Cissé raised Danae, who was sitting down, and looked at Baratheon groan.
“Let’s stop here for today. The distraction came in.”
“Am I the distraction?”
“Oh, you got that?”
“Huh. I understand that much!”
When Cissé clapped exaggeratedly as if he was admiring him, Baratheon, who raised his chin in pride for a while, soon frowned.
“What, it’s not a compliment!”
“Ten seconds, you noticed it faster than I thought. You’re getting better.”
“You’re talking this way to your older brother!”
“Aren’t you embarrassed to call yourself an older brother just because you were born a few minutes earlier?”
“Are a few minutes not considered time? That’s a long time.”
Looking at the grumbling brothers, Danae swallowed a smile inside and put on her shoes that she threw off.
Her swollen feet hurt, but it was tolerable.
“You two seem to be busy fighting, so I’ll leave.”
“And where are you going?”
Baratheon stopped grumbling at her words and quickly picked her up.
“I saw your feet were messed up earlier.”
“When did you see it?”
“How can I not see it? I’m a Sword Master.” Baratheon snorted and said.
“Where are you going?”
“First of all, in the garden…”
She was going to enjoy tea time when she saw a blue bird fluttering its wings by the window.
<L……>
(T/N: Blanche is talking in bird form like this)
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!”
Danae shouted quickly and closed his mouth before Blanche made a sound.
Baratheon, who didn’t know English, looked at her with a bewildered face, and Cissé looked at her with a face as if he were looking at a crazy person.
(T/N: It said English in all the translation sites I used so…)
“In the room!” This was what she wanted to say to Blanche.
“I’ll rest in the room.”
Fortunately, he understood what she was saying, and the bird-like Blanche fluttered and disappeared somewhere.
“Really? Then why would you scream?”
Baratheon tilted his head and began to move, and Danae sighed with relief.
