I Teach Kendo in Tokyo - Chapter 29
Chapter 29: Give Me a Dozen Like This
Kazuma initially thought that he was being attacked by the yakuza, but when he touched the shoulder of that person, he realized something was off—such narrow shoulders probably belonged to a girl.
He struggled to pull away from the person holding him and said, “I can’t breathe.”
He did not know why, but he spoke in English.
The person who was hugging him finally let go.
The heavy object that had been pressing down on Kazuma’s nose and eyes finally lifted. It was only then that Kazuma saw that the person riding on him was Fujii Mikako.
Chiyoko was behind Fujii, tugging at her ponytail.
It seemed like they were about to scratch each other’s faces like cats.
“Hey!” Kazuma had no choice but to stop the two girls. “Don’t sit on me. Get up and beat each other up as you wish. Chiyoko, how can you pull the hair of a guest?”
Chiyoko pouted and let go of Fujii’s hair.
However, Fujii was still riding Kazuma’s body. She glanced at the bruised and battered faces of the yakuza men and asked excitedly, “Did you beat them up?”
“What else?” Kazuma retorted.
Fujii blinked and suddenly changed her tone. “Thank you. Thank you for fighting so hard to save me.”
Kazuma thought to himself, ‘Don’t just thank me. Offer yourself as a reward for me.’
Fujii placed her hands on Kazuma’s shoulders and looked down at him. After hesitating for a while, she said, “Kiryuu-kun… No, Ka-Kazuma! W-We could be considered very close, right? We go home together every day, and you even saved me…”
Chiyoko interrupted, “If you don’t get up, you are going to flatten my brother, fat girl.”
Kazuma had been admiring Fujii’s blushing face after she called him “Kazuma.” Hearing Chiyoko’s words, he could not help but look at his sister, only to find that Chiyoko’s expression was also very strange.
‘My sister and a pretty girl are fighting over me?’
‘Haha, I am such a sinful man.’
Kazuma thought those things happily.
Fujii looked at Kazuma. Gritting her teeth, she finally stood up. Then, she turned to smile at Chiyoko sweetly. “I am very slim. My kendo training has burned all my fat long ago.”
“Really?” Chiyoko replied with a smile. “Congratulations, Big Sister. Oh yeah, I saw quite a few police officers on my way back. You were kidnapped, so I guess they must be looking for you, right?”
“Erm…” Fujii seemed to have just remembered that she got kidnapped right in front of the police. She opened her mouth in surprise and immediately covered it with her hand.
Chiyoko smiled and continued, “I’ll call the police now. Please wait a moment, Big Sister.”
Chiyoko turned around and walked toward the entrance of the dojo.
Kazuma sat up as well. He’d actually enjoyed being straddled by Fujii.
At this moment, Nishikiyama spoke. “Miss, could I trouble you to tell the police that it was a few young men who’d kidnapped you because they wanted to rape you, and then their guilty conscience had made them release you? I will tell the youngsters in my group to surrender themselves at the police station tomorrow.”
Fujii frowned and glared at Nishikiyama. “No! You were the ones who kidnapped me and held me hostage to threaten Kiryuu-kun… K-Kazuma…-kun!”
In the end, Fujii still added an honorific to hide her shyness.
Nishikiyama said, “But in the end, he wasn’t threatened at all. Besides, we also paid a price. From today on, the Nishikiyama Family will be known as an infamous group that has lost to a high school student. You don’t know the way of the yakuza, so I’m afraid you won’t understand what this means. But I can tell you that we are doomed.”
Fujii put her hands on her hips. “No, I don’t know the way of the yakuza, so I don’t believe a single word you say! I will report you to the police!”
“You crazy woman!” the baldy roared. Kazuma remembered that Nishikiyama had called this baldy Bandō.
Nishikiyama glared at Bandō, then said, “Of course, you can report us, and then you will enter a complicated judicial process. You will have to go to the police station or the Prosecutor’s Office every two or three days. Perhaps you will spend your last summer in high school dealing with this case. And in the end, it is highly likely that the court will deny your case.
“That’s because you didn’t suffer any physical harm, nor did we really blackmail Young Master Kiryuu. By the way, although our Nishikiyama Family does not have the money to hire good lawyers, our parent group has professional lawyers.
“Young lady, does your family… have enough money to hire a capable lawyer to deal with all this?”
Fujii shut her mouth.
She looked at Kazuma with an attitude that could not be any more obvious. Her face was basically saying, “You decide. I’ll listen to you.”
Kazuma came from an era where female empowerment was on the rise. He was almost touched to see such an obedient girl.
Kazuma pondered whether or not he should report the yakuza to the police. In any case, the yakuza was definitely much more experienced in dealing with the police than a high school student like him. It seemed that it was not the first time they had done something like this.
Since Nishikiyama could sit here calmly, it meant that they knew very well how to handle the police.
There was probably no point in filing a report.
Kazuma turned to look at Nishikiyama. “I won’t report you, but I can’t just let it slip like this. No matter what, I’m the winner. I can’t just let you go after you’ve sent a few lackeys to the police to take the blame.”
Nishikiyama nodded. “You are right. If I were you, I would also find it hard to end matters like this. Actually, we made a big mistake today. My original order was to kidnap Kiryuu Chiyoko, but my men had ended up taking another girl. Not only that, they’d even alerted the police, making the whole situation more complicated.
“According to the rules, the mistake will cost them a pinkie. But I will make them cut their ring fingers too and send them to you. What do you think?”
As he spoke, Nishikiyama looked at the big bald man, Bandō.
Kazuma also looked at Bandō.
He noticed that the baldy was sweating profusely. Large beads of sweat were rolling down continuously.
“What do you say?” Nishikiyama asked Bandō calmly.
Bandō took a deep breath and replied loudly, “I will take full responsibility and show my loyalty!”
Nishikiyama nodded in satisfaction.
Then, he stood up and said, “We’ll take our leave first. If we’re still here when the police arrive, we’d have to climb over the walls.”
Bandō looked at his lackeys and shouted, “Didn’t you hear Boss? Move! Stand up!”
The lackeys stood up one by one and supported one another as they walked toward the door of the dojo.
Nishikiyama stood by the door and looked at Kazuma. “There may be a period of peace after this. I wasn’t bluffing when I said that Tsuda Masaaki is a lunatic, but there is no doubt that he will treat a man who has defeated me with caution.
“But… anyway, you have to count on yourself. Keep an eye on your two girls. Let me give you a piece of advice. Do what you have to do tonight so you can have fewer regrets in the future.”
With that, Nishikiyama caught up with his lackeys who had left the dojo and walked toward the main door of the house, leaving Kazuma and Fujii looking at each other.
Fujii lowered her head, blushing.
Kazuma said, “What are you thinking about? The police will be here soon. You will need to go to the police station to make a statement.”
“Alright,” Fujii replied softly, her ears turning red.
