I Was A Porter - Chapter 11
Job Search (5)

Seung-ho tried to catch a taxi, but it was slower than the subway during the middle of the day. He turned on the navigation function on his phone and started running.
He ran for the first time after returning to Earth.
“Be careful of speeding. 80km/section.”
“Pay attention to speed and signals. 80km/h section.”
He ran and ran with eyes on the screen without worrying about the warning sound continuing to ring from the navigation app.
* * *
“How would you like to hear it?”
Seong-ah was grabbed at her waist before she fell on her face to the ground.
“I need to take care of your face. I’ll be mad if that pretty face gets hurt.”
The sun has already settled down, and under the dark night sky of December, it was not enough to illuminate the streets with only apartment streetlights.
Avoiding people’s eyes, he picked up Seong-ah and gently stuck her in the passenger seat.
He drove his car home. On his way, he sometimes looked at his side and laughed happily.
The man carried her in his arms, looking around to make sure no one saw them, as he went inside his home. She was still unconscious.
He gagged her mouth and tied her arms tightly to the bed in case she screamed, and then went into the shower with a satisfied expression.
The sound of water dripping from the shower slowly woke her up.
She immediately felt pain behind her head, and in her limbs tied tightly to the bed pillars.
She tried to recall what happened before she got unconscious.
A strange man…
She felt the rope tied to her get tighter as she tried to pull it, and there was no sign of loosening or breaking even as she pulled as hard as she could.
As she struggled, the sound of the dripping water stopped. It seems that the shower has ended.
Seong-ah closed her eyes, pretending she wasn’t awakened, thinking that if he noticed that she had woken up, it could boost his madness.
“It’s time to get up…”
He muttered as he approached Seong-ah’s bedside. Fortunately, he did not notice that she was already awake. He casually turned his back and began to dress.
While whistling, he started to dry his hair with a hairdryer, then roughly shaped it with wax and lightly sprayed it.
“Perfect.”
Looking at the mirror, he nodded his head, looking at the hair he had groomed, and looking satisfied.
Seong-ah started to writhe again, but the man simply shook his head, unbothered.
“Are you up?”
His face, smiling, couldn’t be creepier.
“I’m going to wear clothes and wait a little bit~”
His voice seemed to be friendly, but it was worse than any voice in Seong-Ah’s ears.
She is struggling on the bed as helplessly as a butterfly on a spider web.
The man is now dressed in a neat suit. He then approached the refrigerator, took out sparkling water, poured it into a cup, and put a suspicious pill in it.
Sung-ah’s struggled some more as he approached.
“If you scream, you’ll die. Got it?”
He raised his right hand on top of her face as he whispered in her ear, releasing the gag on Seong-ah’s mouth with his left hand.
The gag was removed, but she couldn’t scream.
“Let me go home, please. Please.”
She said with a low voice, but the man never intended to her let go.
“Now, have a drink.”
He reached out with and brought the sparkling water from the cup near her mouth.
“If you don’t drink it, I’ll pour it down your throat with that funnel anyway. If you spit it out, I will cover your nose and force-feed it to you.
In his words, Sung-Ah inevitably opened her mouth a little in fear, and the man slowly poured the soda.
“Right, right. Yes, good, drink.”
Seong-a instinctively knew what was coming, and transparent tears flowed from his eyes.
Looking at her appearance, the man got more excited, and his laughter got stronger.
The carbonated water helped her absorb the pill more quickly. Seong-ah’s consciousness began to fade, even as she tried to fight against it…
“What’s happening?”
The man then suddenly felt the building shaking.
The vibration, which was felt weakly, gradually increased to the point where his home appliances started to shake little by little.
The vibration felt on the floor was definitely not an earthquake.
Thud… thud… thud. Thud! Thud!!
The vibration that started from below the building suddenly stopped on his floor.
The man jumped down from the bed and prepared himself to run anytime.
The vibration stopped, but he found his own body still shaking slowly.
Did a gate occur at his building? Is there a monster outside?
The man swallowed forcefully.
Boom!
There seemed to be a huge explosion, and he heard something falling out. Perhaps the cause of the vibration broke down the stair’s door.
He then heard the sound of someone trying to open his doorknob.
Tick, tick
“Open it.”
He heard a man’s low voice.
“Who are you?!”
“I won’t say it twice. Open it.”
“Who are you-”
Boom!!
The door was blown away and embedded itself on the other side of the room.
As he stared at the unbelievable sight, a man suddenly came into the room and grabbed his shoulders.
“That was good, wasn’t it?”
“Yes? Ah, yes.”
He was not even sure what was good. He couldn’t even ask.
The man who grabbed his shoulder took his hands off, and approached the bed.
Seong-ah finally allowed herself to be unconscious after seeing her uncle’s face staring at her warmly as if telling her not to worry.
Seung-ho approached the bed and covered Seong-ah with a blanket.
The man finally understood what is happening and realized the seriousness of the situation.
“Oh no… Spare me. I was wrong. I guess I’m crazy for a while.”
The man had already witnessed Seung-ho’s overwhelming power, and he knew he couldn’t escape. He dared not even imagine what would happen if he tried to fight.
The man fell on his face and prayed for forgiveness, but Seung-ho, looking at the man on the floor, felt no emotion.
“I humbly apologize. I was really wrong. I guess I turned crazy. If you spare me, I will not forget the grace, and I’ll live in atonement forever. Please, please.”
The man felt Seung-ho’s gaze piercing the back of his head, and he prayed and prayed desperately to him to live.
Seung-ho, who looked down at him, begging for a long time, opened his mouth with an emotionless voice.
“No, you’re doing it wrong.”
“Yeah?”
“You don’t need to ask for help.”
Seungho’s words lightened the man’s face.
“Thank you. Thank you. I will never do this again, but I will serve and live in society.”
When the man thought he could live, he shouted his gratitude and began putting his forehead on the floor.
Seungho’s face, expressing no expression in his actions, began to wear a smile.
“Wrong. You shouldn’t have asked me to spare you. You should have said: ‘Please kill me nicely.’”
Then the man stopped bowing and trembled as he slowly raised his head to look at Seung-ho’s face.
He saw a demon standing over him.
* * *
Seong-ah was safely asleep in Seung-ho’s arms.
Seung-ho carefully pressed the doorbell of the Min-ju’s house.
The footsteps gradually approached from the inside, and the door opened wide.
“Sister!”
“Seong-ah! Brother! What happened?!”
Sia and Min-ju stood in the doorway and screamed, stroking Seong-ah in the arms of Seung-ho.
“She got kidnapped by a malicious guy, almost got sexually assaulted, but I got there on time.”
Seung-ho said, looking at Sia standing next to him.
Hearing the words’ sexual assault’, Sia’s face turned blue, and she took her sister’s face in her hands.
“Seong-ah, Seong-ah! Brother!! Why isn’t Seong-a responding?’
Min-ju shouted at Seung-ho, shaking the body of Seong-a in his arms.
In the eyes of Lee Min-ju, fire seemed to emanate.
“Seriously, it must have been a great emotional shock. And I think she also took drugs. Let’s go to the hospital.”
“Ah… Okay”
Lee Min-ju immediately tried to follow Seung-ho, but Seung-ho stopped her.
“If you go there like that, you will catch a cold. Wear some clothes.”
Only then did Min-ju realized that she was about to leave the house wearing only a thin nightgown.
When Min-ju pulls entered the house, Sia rubbed her sister’s cheeks to give her warmth.
Later, Seong-a was lying in the emergency room of a nearby university hospital. Her mother faced the doctor.
The doctor who took the blood told her that since she lost her consciousness, she might have taken GHB, Rohypnol, and ketamine.
After returning to the waiting room, where Seung-ho and Sia stayed, Min-ju saw her brother leave.
“Brother!”
Seung-ho simply turned and waved his hand and went out of the hospital.
Min-ju quickly approached Sia, who was staring blankly at Seung-ho’s back.
“What did your uncle say?”
“Uh…”
Sia’s voice was as small as a mosquito’s, so Min-ju had to frown and ask.
“What?”
“He’s going to the person who made Sister like that.”
At the end of Sia’s words, Min-ju turned her head out of the waiting room, but there was no sign of Seung-ho anywhere.
