[Please…] He prayed that the two of them would come back safe and sound.
He was not perfect even though he was a god, so he wanted to lean on someone. The black snake laughed at its own tepidness. He’ll never hesitate if he gets a chance this time.
He will put a fang at the back of his brother’s neck, spill the poison, and peel off his skin. The black snake’s eyes shone brutally. The weight of life in this world was heavier than that of a single white snake.
There’s not much left now. Those who reign as gods, like white snakes or black snakes, feed on the beliefs of other creatures. Gerald’s efforts were worth it, the number of people praying for the black snake made him regain a few of his powers.
It was the power of the black snake. There’s not much time left. The black snake looked down at his long-nailed hands. The energy that was stronger than before was wriggling. The time has yet to come.
The white snake would be gone and the time was approaching for the black snake to rise again. The black snake clenched its fist seizing his moment.

Ernst stared blankly at the scales dropping down.
“This is unacceptable.” Ernst chewed his lips out of anxiety.
The voice rang inside the temple hall, which was filled with silence. He who had not heard Ernst will not be here. Ernst looked up looking dreary and brainwashed.
“It’s unacceptable because you couldn’t protect your dignity as the Duchess.” Ernst was now at the point of identifying Louella and Philia. Louella looked like Philia. Intense jealousy engulfed Ernst.
“You’re talking too much,” Merce said.
“I told you verbally that she already had someone she made a promise with, someone she wanted to get married with. And the fact that it would happen soon. I understand that it is not a problem due to what was according to the rules.”
Ernst looked at Mercé. You don’t look like a human… She was giving off a cool, cold vibe like a snake. It certainly wasn’t like this before.
“If I’m shallow, then I am. But I will be the master of the Imperial Palace, so who would dare to refute my words?” Ernst was speaking as if he had already become an Emperor, the ruler of the Imperial Palace.
Ernst slowly looked around at Merce, Gerald, and Flora. The last one was Louella. Louella stood expressionless from her seat.
Louella came down from the podium and stood beside Gerald. It was a breathtaking moment. The only thing that rang the hall was the sound of Louella’s footsteps. She stood tall with Gerald behind her back.
“You’re talking as if you were the Emperor.”
“It’s my seat anyway. I’ll be Emperor soon, so who cares? Lady Louella.”
Ernst’s voice cracked. “I will understand and forgive everything about you. We can erase what was written on the temple. But I want you to come with me.”
He was reaching out as if he was giving Louella a choice, but Ernst didn’t mean it. Even if Louella refused here, he was going to drag her by all means. The black snake had torn away from Gerald. No one here could beat Ernst’s power now. Ernst smiled slickly.
“Lady Louella.” Ernst stood in front of Louella.
“Think about it. I’m the Emperor of this Empire. A guy who can do more than he can’t. What if I order to kill your mother right now?”
“Crown Prince!” cried Louella sharply. Ernst continued, regardless. “What if I order that cowardly girl to be torn to pieces?”
“You won’t be able to,” Louella said with her teeth clenched.
“What about the last one? If I order this guy to cut off his leg. Will people blame me? No one else can stop me here. Whose hand do you think God will proclaim as the winner?”
It wasn’t the question that she wanted to answer in the first place. He was already setting an answer.
“You can’t get out of here, Lady Louella.”
“What does that mean?” Flora, who was standing with a pale face, asked. “Why can’t Louella go out?”
“Because that’s what I want. Lady Louella can’t do anything if that’s what I wish. Especially here.”
Ernst pulled Louella unexpectedly faster than Gerald, who belatedly reached out and grabbed her. Ernst said, hugging Louella, who was out of balance. “That’s it.”
The chilly wind ventilated the air in the hall “This is my territory. Only those I want can come in and go out. I don’t want Lady Louella to leave now, so all of you can’t go out of the temple.”
Ernst gestured. Gerald, Flora, and Merce were caught up in the trouble he had caused.
“Louella!”
