Chapter 106
Elysia went out with Cassian and headed to Arbel. He had a very curious face.
Because the temple was completely destroyed and black magic had to be purified, he would have been busy. However, he didn’t seem to care at all. It didn’t matter if other priests were doing those things themselves.
Arbel looked at her with his eyes twinkling.
“What’s different about the black magic the Duchess uses?”
“High Priest.”
Cassian called to him in a threatening voice as if to be careful of his mouth. Arbel still looked at her like he didn’t care at all, waiting for an answer.
“I don’t use black magic, though?”
“What…?”
Elysia swung her hand lightly, casting normal magic. She couldn’t use black magic and normal magic at the same time.
Again, black soot remained on the ceiling due to the burning flames.
As Cassian’s laughter was heard, she hurriedly retrieved the flames before making a brazen face, pretending it wasn’t a mistake.
Nonetheless, the smirk didn’t get away on his face. He then reached out his hand and tangled her hair with his fingers, giving her a cute look. She thought that even though he was blinded by love, he was too blind.
“I’m sure you’ll tell me someday.”
Although Arbel knew everything, he closed his mouth as if he couldn’t help it. The next moment, Cassian wrapped around her shoulder to urge her to go.
“High Priest. We will send a separate aide for the donation matter, so please discuss it then.”
Her magic played a significant role in the collapse of the entrance to the temple. Though was inevitable because of the vampires created by Peloit, it was also because the temple was decided as the venue for the coronation ceremony from the beginning.
Cassian seemed to think that compensation should be given.
Arbel, who knew well, spread his palms out and said a demand.
“It was a good choice to be on your side. The donations are already overflowing.”
With the name of black magic alone, people on the continent trembled in anxiety and searched for God. Arbel laughed, saying it was a natural event.
“The coronation ceremony was fake, but I was rewarded enough for holding it in the temple.”
Even so, they thought he would be willing to accept more, but it was a little surprising.
“If you’re going to do something for me, I would like to have tea time with the Duchess…”
“Impossible.”
When Cassian cut it off with a single swing and added that he would send his aide again, Elysia laughed awkwardly as she felt the nuance to just eat the money and end this relationship.
“Then… may I ask you to explain the magic circle that remains in the temple garden?”
Elysia tilted her head and glanced at Cassian.
“Is there such a thing?”
“I don’t know.”
Arbel wept as they pretended not to know.
Since it was a magic circle that had been erased more than half, it would be of no use even if Arbel kept the records.
Based on what she had heard from Rania, Elysia recalled where Peloit’s black magic data was. As she thought about it, she seemed to have to make a comeback from it. Leaving behind Arbel, who was dripping with regrets, she and Cassian left the temple.
“Is the temple business over now?”
“Yes. We’ll probably never come again.”
Elysia glanced in Peloit’s direction.
She didn’t even need to see him. In the first place, she never wondered why he did it, and she didn’t care. It was just a matter that he should quietly disappear.
“Then, let’s go back and do what we were doing.”
“What were we doing?”
“I didn’t intend to come out already, yet we only had two days to stay inside because we needed to come to the temple.”
He was now very blatantly demanding to go to bed. Elysia gently reached out her hand and stroked his arm, blinking her eyes.
“Hmm. Come to think of it, I think there were more places to stop by.”
“…First, let’s get into the carriage.”
Oh, there was the carriage.
Rania Aiden was frustrated by the thought that she had become the very same thing she was before she turned back time.
…If she hadn’t touched the Duchess in the temple, it wouldn’t have been this far.
…If she hadn’t touched Lumiere as she said, she would have been all right.
She should have done this, she shouldn’t have done that… Numerous regrets ran through her mind.
“Hi.”
Her body stiffened at the sudden presence. It was a voice that was clearly lodged in her head, so she couldn’t not know it.
…It was the demon who brought her back to the past.
Already?
“You didn’t live up to the terms of the contract.”
“…I found the cat!”
Even though the owner was there, wouldn’t it be enough for the demon to steal it?
A loud laugh was heard.
“The conditions are wrong. I asked you to hold it in your arms.”
At his words, Rania thought she had to work hard to figure out a way.
“If you release me from here…”
“Ah, the cat can’t go back with me anymore.”
Because she signed a contract without a contract, she had to remember every word carefully. At the same time, Hail flashed his eyes like a beast about to prey.
“As expected, the wizard knows that I’m here, so there’s no reason to wait any longer.”
He then lifted her chin with his index finger.
“Your soul will be delicious. It’s full of malice.”
“If there are other… contract terms that you would like to use…”
It was only before her death that she realized how reckless she had been. She thought that it would be better if she drank poison and died.
Hail shook his head.
“It’s my mistake, but my nose was stuck because I had to fulfill your condition. I should take responsibility for bringing in something that shouldn’t be touched.”
He clicked his tongue as if in annoyance.
Aside from being caught breaking the agreement and coming to the human world, didn’t he bring something that didn’t exist in this world in the first place…?
Hail thought that he would be reprimanded when he returned, and he was wondering what to do to relieve his mood with these things. Whatever it was, if he paid the price commensurate with what he had done, his mistakes would be reduced.
What kind of price did he have to pay for taking things from another dimension? In addition, the other person didn’t even want to go back.
Hail continued to talk to himself, complaining day and night.
“You seem to have suffered quite a bit there. Because of yourself.”
At that, he trampled his feet on the floor.
Elysia wasn’t the kind of race that insignificant humans were trying to match. She must have been a very interesting and fascinating race, apart from simply having to sign a contract.
It was a race that attracted demons.
He had the urge to see the perfect, original figure that made his heart stop and had seduced him. While it looked like Elysia couldn’t even use half of her power, she didn’t seem to know. Well, perhaps he would have to look into it a bit more to find out.
Thinking about how to keep a relationship for a long time was very interesting during his boring life.
“One more time… please.”
He squeezed his feet in annoyance as he watched the contractor cut off his merry-go-round of thoughts. First, he has to get rid of the contractor and the second summoner. Then, at least, they would give him a compliment.
At the thought, Hail snapped his fingers in a carefree thought. The bodies of Lady Aiden and Peloit sitting next to her fell to the floor.
“Uhng. What compliment.”
He’d like to see her drink his blood, too, but it was going to be difficult with that punk.
Thinking that, Hail raised his lips with a languid face.
Elysia looked at Bug and Rina in the office with a slightly bewildered look. She then turned to look at the face of Ryan, who was standing next to her.
Bug and Rina were holding hands.
Pretending not to know, she asked.
“What’s going on?”
Bug opened and closed his mouth repeatedly, stiff as if nervous. Seeing that, Rina poked him from the side with a face as if reminding him, but it was to no avail.
She heard Ryan sigh.
Meanwhile, Cassian and Lloyd were looking at the scene as if they were having fun.
“Bug.”
“Yes, Madam.”
“I won’t give you permission.”
“What?”
Rina’s eyes widened as if surprised. Elysia squinted her eyes at her and smiled.
“That, that… can I know the reason why?”
Bug scratched his cheek and said in a crawling voice. She thought he was going to shout out loud to be given permission.
“Rina is nice, talented, cooks well, pretty…”
The next moment, she continued to spat out Lina’s strengths without even holding her breath. Although she exaggerated a bit, she didn’t lie. Speaking of, Bug seemed to have met someone who was very good.
As her words continued, Rina’s face turned red as if it was about to explode. She didn’t know why Ryan’s face was blushing at the same time.
Elysia looked at Bug and asked.
“Are you going to go out and live?”
“…Yes? Yes! I am looking for a house.”
“Can’t you stay in the annex?”
Ryan cried out urgently afterwards.
“Miss Elysia. You don’t have to do that.”
“You don’t have to do that if you don’t want it. I think I’ll be upset.”
Rina was helping the butler even when she came to Duke Esteban’s mansion. She had been doing the paperwork, not a maid’s job, so she would keep commuting to and from the mansion. Elysia also knew that Rina was worried about Ryan staying alone in the mansion.
In addition, Bug was also the deputy commander of the Esteban Knights, so wouldn’t it be more comfortable to work in a mansion?
On rare occasions, even the family of the employees were allowed to stay together.
Of course, in that rare case, it had to be the butler. However, Ryan and Rina were an exception to Elysia because she intervened in their lives.
“Or, I’ll get a house for you. Let’s discuss it.”
“Are you giving me permission…?”
At his words, she saw Rina poking Bug with her elbow again though Elysia pretended not to see it.
“Why did you have to get my permission? All you have to do is say that you like Rina, and Ryan is okay with it.”
Rina wiped her tears, then sniffled and grabbed her hand.
“Miss Elysia…”
“Huh? Why are you crying?”
“I’ve never given anything, but it seems like I’m only receiving it every time…”
“It’s okay because it’s already overflowing from Ryan.”
It was really too much.
Rina burst into tears in Ryan’s arms. Seeing that, Elysia beckoned Ryan to take her out while Bug fidgeted and followed the brother and sister. Eventually, the office door closed, and Lloyd’s murmur was heard.
“Your Excellency… I want to serve Madam.”
Lloyd sighed and then raised his hand to cover his mouth belatedly, but Cassian gave a smile as if asking him to repeat it. Then, Elysia got her body up and walked over to Cassian’s desk, then asked.
“I am going to choose a separate aide?”
“What?!”
“I heard Lloyd complain that you were going to die because you did what I told you to?”
“Do I dare?”
Cassian grabbed her wrist and placed her on his lap. At that, Elysia frowned and slapped him on the chest.
“Wait. Don’t do it in front of anyone.”
“Lloyd.”
“Yes… I’ll go.”
Lloyd hastily put down the report and left the office. How many times had it been?
“If you keep doing this, I will use a separate office.”
“Do you need an aide?”
She tried to turn it around, knowing that she was just trying to tease Lloyd. Elysia had no intention of letting him go.
“Office.”
“Because you keep attracting people.”
“When did I?”
“A few hours ago.”
She was talking about the wink to Rina.
Elysia seemed to be stunned, and she laughed, “Still, don’t do it where there’s anyone. I have the honor of being the Mistress.”
“…I won’t.”
When his hand took off her shoe and gently rubbed her peach bone, Elysia gazed at him alternately with the papers remaining on his desk.
“There’s nothing urgent.”
“Are you going to come back to the office after a while?”
Cassian tilted his head, asking what she meant.
There have been a few days when he was not present when she woke up after sleeping. He was with her all the time when she was awake, processing papers while she slept, which has always been a dissatisfaction.
When did he sleep? And then, he rushed to her again.
There was no way that demon blood was all-powerful.
“I don’t like you going to the office every day when I wake up.”
“Did you?”
“Yes. Recently.”
Cassian stroked her cheek as if he was sorry.
“It’s my fault.”
“Right? So, do all the paperwork.”
He looked lost as he didn’t know why the conclusion was that way.
