Chapter 87
“…What? Dame Jane and the Crown Prince?”
“Yes. They might have something.”
“Why is the Crown Prince all of a sudden…?”
Elysia raised her eyebrows as she looked at Lloyd, who looked at her with suspicious eyes.
The thought of why she was curious about the news of her past lover was as explicit as if he had written it down. He would already have heard from Ryan that Jane was investigating the maid, though why was he reacting like that…?
It seemed that Lady Aiden was interested in Revos.
Jane was investigating the maid. Even though Revos even went to the Knights to meet Jane separately, his face was blushing. Then, of course, she should know between the two, shouldn’t she?
…But, why was she curious about the news of her ex-boyfriend?
“Lloyd.”
He quickly responded with a sullen face as if he had grasped the situation late.
“ …Yes. I will look into it.”
Elysia looked at his back and tapped the desk with her finger. She wondered what it would be like to invite Jane to the mansion.
Ryan was looking into her, so she wondered what kind of person she was.
It was vague to say it was helpful, although she could ask the Princess of Mordo for an apology about the last time at the Imperial Palace. Even if it wasn’t that she wanted to eat together, Elysia thought it was okay to have tea time.
“Once we meet, I will know.”
And so, she immediately picked up the letter paper and wrote an invitation.
As she was about to call the maid, Elysia could feel a commotion outside the office. She wanted to know what was going on and went out to see Ryan and Bug.
“Ryan. Bug. What are you doing now?”
Ryan was glaring at Bug with a vicious force, and Bug was restless. Just looking at it, it seemed like it was related to Rina.
Was Ryan against it…?
“Ma, Madam…”
“Lady Elysia. I’m sorry for the noise.”
She could see Bug hurriedly bowing his head. He turned around and started walking. Somehow, his sad looking back was pitiful. However, Elysia thought Bug looked at her with resentment… Was it a mistake?
Telling Ryan to come inside her, she asked, “What’s going on?”
“That… Sister got a proposal.”
“Oh, really?”
…Was the relationship that deep? Although the bug seemed simple and thoughtless, he knew that he shouldn’t be proposing to Rina carelessly. It was because Ryan and Rina were the ones who came here with her when she got married.
Knowing that, Elysia was a little surprised that it was more sincere than she thought.
“Why is that a problem?”
“My sister said no.”
“I see…”
Rina didn’t have as much heart as Bug.
“My sister told Sir Bug to come and get permission from Lady Elysia directly.”
“…Huh? Why did he have to ask me for permission?”
“I don’t know either.”
“But, what does that have to do with the fuss from a while ago?”
“Sir Bug misunderstood that Lady Elysia was against it, and he reluctantly tried to enter the office, so I stopped him.”
Hearing Ryan’s words, Elysia let out a small sigh.
Even though she knew that Rina followed her well, why did she need her permission on such a private matter?
She knew that within noble families, the maids would often marry with their master’s permission. In Rina’s case, she earned it herself, so Elysia didn’t understand why she thought she should ask her for permission.
“Ryan. You know I have no intention of getting involved? But if he’s a lousy man, I would object.”
“I know.”
A smirk kept trying to trickle out of his gloomy face. He and Rina had a time of mutual dependence, and she knew how much he cared for his sister.
“Are you upset?”
Ryan didn’t answer for a moment, and then he opened his mouth as if he could barely answer.
“No. I just feel a little… strange.”
He was making a face as if crying, like he didn’t know what he was feeling. Thinking that Ryan was cute, she resisted her laughter that kept getting squeezed out.
“If Rina likes it, I think you can cheer for her.”
“Yes… I think so, too.”
“I’ll take care of Bug, so you take care of Rina.”
Ryan nodded his head.
Elysia suddenly thought that after Rina got married, he would become very lonely.
The brother and sister living in the annex shared a living space with several rooms. They were using a room that wouldn’t be inferior to giving it to a nobleman visiting the mansion as a guest room. She didn’t want the two siblings to separate and did it out of favor.
In the first place, she didn’t bring them here to act as a subordinate.
Anyway, after living together like that, when Rina gets married, she would have to go out. However, she was worried about Ryan being left alone.
“How about you?”
“Yes…?”
He stared at her with a face, not understanding what she was asking.
“Is there someone you like, or someone you’re secretly meeting…?”
“There is none.”
Elysia was about to add something else, but she couldn’t finish her words as he made a quick reply. Ryan spoke to her as if she didn’t have to worry about him.
“This is… enough for me.”
Eventually, she nodded her head with a puzzled face. Saying now was the best, the smiling Ryan’s face looked overly happy, so she didn’t really have anything to say.
* * *
Elysia was trying on a dress to wear at the banquet. It was not unfamiliar that the Madame of the dressing room who designed the wedding dress would look over her body.
She stared at the eyes in the mirror with sharp eyes.
“From today on, you must not have any marks.”
“…I will.”
“Not even at the waist.”
Before her wedding, she told Cassian not to engrave marks, and she said it was okay for it to be invisible and underneath the waist.
The design wrapped her waist in translucent lace, so how painstakingly she put the makeup on to cover it up. She wondered if the Madame remembered that time again, although Elysia could guess the answer.
“Do you like the dress?”
“Much better than I expected.”
Saying so, she smiled contentedly as she looked at the wine-colored dress.
She wondered if she would wear a rich skirt like the other wives, but she didn’t like it. It was uncomfortable to walk around, and it wasn’t very pretty in her eyes.
In a tight tube top-style dress, a black lace fabric wrapped around her body from the top of her chest to her sleeves. It was designed to cover all the skin except for the one with a hollow back. There was no change in the dimensions, so there was no place to touch any more.
“I will do it this way.”
“All right. I will send you any additional dresses you ordered before the banquet.”
Elysia nodded her head roughly and asked Gray behind her.
“The tailcoat?”
“It’s ready to match the dress.”
Even though she was about to say something to check the tailcoat design in advance, Elysia heard a short knock and a familiar voice.
“You can go, I’ll do it.”
When Cassian appeared, Madame quickly greeted her and left the room with the maids.
Elysia glanced at him with a dissatisfied face. It was because the dressing room staff did not wait to take off her dress and left.
“It suits you well.”
“What are you doing coming in so suddenly?”
It seemed that it would be difficult to be embarrassed any more than this. Cassian came closer to her and untied the ribbon on the back of the dress.
“I hope you don’t show your back like this.”
A slightly lowered voice said.
It was not that the chest line was all exposed, and in a way, it covered more than the dresses she usually wore.
“You didn’t even say anything to the dresses I’ve been wearing. What do you mean?”
“You’re not going to let me leave marks on your back.”
“…Leave it in front, then.”
Cassian wrinkled his eyes.
Looking at his expression in the mirror who smiled, she was in shock.
“Because I have to be patient when I do it from the back.”
“From the back… Ah.”
Elysia didn’t understand for a moment, so she tried to ask again. However, at a later realization, her words were blurred. The hand that took off her dress accelerated. Her chest suddenly became colder. She added hastily as Cassian turned her around and lowered his head to kiss her.
“…Take it off.”
“Uhh.”
The change of location to the bedroom came soon. She then stared at Cassian as he threw her dress to the floor. He kissed her deeply as if he was a little impatient and put the dress neatly in place before pushing her.
Elysia put her arms around his neck, and she kissed him.
“Haa, why are you in such a hurry all of a sudden—Uhp.”
“Because you’re pretty.”
The way he raised the corners of his lips languidly was desirable. Perhaps, it was because he didn’t often say that out loud. For no reason, her face got hot.
Elysia laughed, and she pulled his lower lip.
“Ah…!”
Cassian put her on the bed and moved his lips. Feeling him sucking hard on her, she pushed him away.
“Not the neck.”
She obviously had a conversation about not leaving a mark a while ago, although he was blatantly ignoring it. As if he couldn’t help but regret it, Cassian kissed her one after another after the nape of the neck.
“I heard you invited the Vice Commander to the mansion.”
“Uht… Right…”
“You don’t have to, I’ll find out.”
“I’ll look for myself… Huu.”
Cassian moved as if he was planning to fill everything with traces except for her neck. Even the bitterness caused by sucking on it was irritating.
“I wonder what happened with the Crown Prince and Dame Jane…”
Her words were blurred as the hands grabbed her legs and spread them apart.
“They spent the night.”
“…What?”
Cassian raised his eyebrows at the answer that clearly felt surprising. He tilted his head slightly and pushed his fingers in. Immediately, a moan leaked out from the sensation of being pressed in a sensitive area.
“Is that surprising?”
A voice of disapproval.
“Huhk, no, just… It doesn’t… fit.”
Why was everyone doing this, knowing that she and the Crown Prince were no longer in a relationship, even Lloyd?
Elysia grabbed hold of his wrist in a rush of rebellion.
“I’m not jealous at all. Can’t you believe me?”
“No way.”
Cassian grabbed her wrist and denied it again as if he was dissatisfied with not being able to touch her. Elysia raised her upper body and pulled her hips back. At that, he raised the corners of his lips up and rolled his eyes down.
He looked like he was ready.
“I won’t do it.”
“Wife?”
“You got into trouble.”
Cassian reached out to her as if it was nonsense. Seeing that, she grabbed the approaching hand and took it under his abs.
“Ugh…”
“There’s one thing I’ve been wanting to see for a long time.”
The soft voice was seductive.
Elysia clasped her hands on the back of Cassian’s and grabbed what was standing firmly. The next moment, she slowly started moving her arms.
He raised his lips as his eyes seemed to sparkle.
“You’re going to have to take care of yourself.”
The purple eyes that met hers were glowing brightly. She could hear the rustling of clothes and wet sounds with every movement of his hand.
When Elysia released the hand that was holding the back of his hand, he grabbed it right away and placed her hand on the back of his hand. Cassian reached out with his empty hand and grabbed her ankle. He placed his long finger back to where it had just been.
“Uh—no, why am I…”
She said she wanted to see him doing it alone, but he moved his hands regardless.
As Cassian was looking at her with an expressionless face, Elysia could see a warning that somehow foreshadowed the next one. The pace was accelerating, and the breathing that leaked through his slightly gapped lips was disturbing.
The sound in the bedroom, the speed at which he moves, and even his eyes. Everything created the illusion that he and her body were overlapping each other.
Her red eyes frowned as if in pain, and Cassian clenched his teeth.
Veins spurted on Cassian’s neck, and their overlapping hands were soaked in the sticky heat.
