When Gu Qingxin entered the room, a few pairs of eyes fell on her. One of them had an especially sharp gaze that was almost capable of physically pricking her.
Gu Qingxin looked over consciously. Her dark eyes narrowed the moment they landed on the man who sat in the corner. She quickly averted her gaze and her heartbeat suddenly accelerated when she realized it was him.
Even though it was dim in the room and she had only taken a glance, she could recognize the man who had robbed her of her innocence the previous night.
“Miss, what are you doing? Aren’t you here to sell us alcohol? Come, pour me a glass.”
The men sitting there visited places like this frequently. They were sharp and perceptive and needed only one glance to determine whether a woman was of supreme quality.
To them, this promoter was definitely of supreme quality.
Gu Qingxin inhaled a deep breath. She entered the room with her tray of alcohol, and with each step, her high heels sank into the carpeted ground without making a sound.
Gu Qingxin followed the rules and squatted beside the customer. Her skirt was very short in the first place, and when she did that, her long, slender, unblemished, snow-white legs were fully exposed. The man who sat on the couch lowered his head and was able to admire her fair cleavage.
“Sir, what would you like to have?” Gu Qingxin asked as she raised her head and flashed a bright, beautiful, and superficial smile at the man.
A sudden commotion in the corner gave everyone a shock. Yeqi was just as surprised, and a trace of emotion finally surfaced on his usually expressionless face. “Sir, your hand.”
The glass in Beiming Han’s hand had shattered into pieces. His flesh had been pierced, and dark red blood flowed from his fingertip.
“The glass is of such poor quality,” Beiming Han said as he picked up a napkin and cleaned his finger nonchalantly. His dark eyes were so cold that there seemed to be a layer of ice in them. “Go on, don’t mind me.”
The commotion passed quickly, and everyone turned their attention back to Gu Qingxin.
Gu Qingxin straightened her back as much as possible and asked again, “What… What would you like to have?”
“Of course, I want the most expensive thing on the menu,” the man replied as he fixed his wretched gaze on Gu Qingxin. This angered the woman sitting next to him, but she dared not say a word. After all, the customer was such an important person.
Gu Qingxin grabbed a bottle of the most expensive liquor and opened it. She poured the alcohol into the man’s glass with a professional smile on her face the entire time. “Sir, please enjoy your drink.”
Gu Qingxin stood up to leave, however, the man grabbed her arm. “I just bought your most expensive liquor and you’re leaving just like that? Feed me with your mouth.”
“Sir, I’m sorry, but I don’t do anything beyond selling alcohol,” Gu Qingxin said. Even though she was furious, she did not dare to vocalize it. She maintained the same professional smile.
“You don’t have to do that, but at least let me kiss you,” the man said as he took one step forward, his face inching toward Gu Qingxin’s. He thought that her face looked as soft and tender as a peach and he desperately wanted to take a bite.
Gu Qingxin could not bear it any longer. She furiously shoved the old man who was trying to take advantage of her and grabbed the glass on the table so she could splash the alcohol in his face.
The red liquid dripped down the man’s hair and cheeks and made him look particularly embarrassed.
“I told you I don’t do anything beyond selling alcohol. If you want to play, go, and get yourself a hostess. Excuse me,” Gu Qingxin said as her chest heaved violently from agitation.
The initially noisy room instantly went quiet. All the men here tonight were wealthy and influential characters, and Gu Qingxin’s actions had offended not just one person—it was akin to if she had poured alcohol in the faces of everyone here.
Gu Qingxin turned around to leave but someone violently grabbed her arm. It was the man whom she had poured alcohol on. He looked enraged as he raised his hand high before bringing it down with a whoosh, his eyes filled with shame and anger.
