Invincible Evocation - Chapter 57
Chapter 57: High Grade Spells
Pak!
Rong Kaijie flung the teacup violently onto the floor in anger. The boiling tea in the cup spilled all over the floor. The expensive antelope rug had an additional ugly stain on it.
All the servants standing around him dared not make a single sound or go up to disturb their young master who was clearly furious. They had no desire to get into trouble for nothing.
Suddenly, the room door was pushed open from outside. An elegant, beautiful, and graceful middle-aged lady calmly walked into the room.
Rong Kaijie’s eyes instantly lit up. He quickly ran forward and greeted her. “Youngest Aunt, you’re here.”
The middle-aged lady looked at him gently. She turned and said with a smile, “Jie’er, what has made you so unhappy?”
Rong Kaijie’s expression changed slightly. He glanced at the other people around him and coldly said, “Get out.”
“Yes, Young Master.” All the servants ran out of the room. It was as if they had finally found a way to escape this dreadful situation.
The middle-aged woman’s smile slowly faded. She said in a low voice, “Jie’er, I heard about the terrible thing that happened to Xin’er. How did this happen? I can’t believe someone within the Rong clan was bold enough to do something like this. Don’t tell me this is coming from the Clan Head’s family.”
Rong Kaijie shook his head slightly. “Youngest Aunt, the one who did this isn’t from the Clan Head’s family.” He paused for a while and said, “A Spirit Gatherer has appeared in the clan. He got into a fight with Kaixin before, so he bore a grudge against Kaixin. Kaixin decided to challenge him to a fight because he wanted to put an end to the feud. On the Battle Platform, this Spirit Gatherer made a fatal move. Kaixin couldn’t react in time. He died as a result.” There was a sad look on his face as he said, “Father and I want to take revenge for Kaixin, but…”
The middle-aged lady’s face darkened as she angrily said, “Don’t talk about that useless Eldest Brother of mine. Tsk, he’s like mud that can’t stick to the wall. If he worked hard with the resources from Father and my husband’s family, he would have been a Martial Arts Gifted Fighter by now. He wouldn’t be stuck pointlessly at Martial Artist stage.”
Rong Kaijie had an awkward look on his face. He totally agreed with what his aunt said, but he was never able to say it publicly.
The middle-aged lady said in a low voice, “It’s a good thing that the clan actually has a Spirit Gatherer. Why didn’t your family think of a way to get him on our side? Instead, you’re now bitter enemies with him.”
Rong Kaijie had a bitter smile on his face. When his father and brother had a run-in with Rong Kaixuan, they didn’t know anything about him. Nobody would have thought that a father and son with no status or reputation walking around in the marketplace would end up as such big shots. When he thought about how Wang Xiaoxiao seemed overly concerned about Rong Kaixuan, jealousy started burning inside his heart. Even if this encounter with his father and brother had never happened, Rong Kaijie still would not have wanted to let Rong Kaixuan off.
“Youngest Aunt, what do we do now? Should I try to reconcile with him?” he asked with his head bowed. He didn’t mean any of these words at all.
“Tsk.” The middle-aged lady coldly scoffed. “If he hadn’t killed Xin’er, I wouldn’t mind trying to get him on my side and get him to work for you two brothers. But now…” There was a vengeful and hateful look gleaming in her eyes. “I don’t care who he is or who backs him. Since he killed Xin’er, he naturally deserves to die.”
Rong Kaijie was overjoyed at the response in his heart, but he still kept a hesitant look on his face as he said, “Youngest Aunt, but this person is the one and only Spirit Gatherer of the Rong clan.”
The middle-aged lady coldly replied, “I don’t have any children, so you and Xin’er are like my own sons. Does he think he can still live after killing my son?” She looked to the other side and said, “But it’s not easy to attack him within the Main House. Watch him carefully and see if he will leave the house.”
Rong Kaijie quickly said, “Youngest Aunt, I heard that his Eldest Brother has been poisoned, so he might leave the house quite soon…” He paused for a moment before saying, “According to the informant we’ve placed in his home, their family should be getting ready to leave for the Sirius Mountains in a month.”
“Oh, the entire family?” The middle-aged woman bitterly laughed and said, “It’s not the right time, so it’s not easy to wipe them all out. But it’s no problem to deal with just one person.”
Rong Kaijie bowed his head. There was a vicious gleam flickering in his eyes. His youngest aunt had shown an extremely powerful gift in cultivation since she was born. She was now training and cultivating as hard as she could. She was hoping for a breakthrough so that his grandfather would see her as someone important.
After growing up, she married into a wealthy family and had quite a bit of power within that clan.
If she was the one planning the attack, Rong Kaixuan was dead meat for sure.

In the quiet and peaceful Manuals Library, Rong Kaixuan had happily taken the manual he wanted from the shelf.
This was a fire element Level 1 High Grade spell manual.
Explosive Flame Bounce.
Even though this was a Level 1 spell, many people felt that it was powerful enough to be compared to the majority of Level 2 Low Grade spells.
An Explosive Flame Bounce gathered a huge amount of Fire element Spirit Power together. Once it hit the enemy, it immediately exploded. The more terrifying part about it was that this spell included a powerful fiery poison in it. Once this fiery poison entered the body, it caused a human to burn up.
After reading the manual, Rong Kaixuan closed his eyes and connected his Divine Sense to the shadow inside the round ball.
In the next moment, he immediately felt the fire element Spirit Body Spellcaster far off in the mountains.
After the Spirit Body had received the spell Rong Kaixuan sent, it seemed to be stunned for a moment. Before long, it stretched a hand out. There was a spark on its fingertip. The spark instantly turned into a ball that was sent flying toward a small tree.
From the outside, an Explosive Flame Bounce didn’t look much different from a fire element Spirit Power Bounce.
Even a powerful Spiritualist was not able to tell the difference at first glance. But the power that these two spells carried was vastly different.
Pak!
The ball of fire hit the little tree. After the tree swayed for a bit, it suddenly collapsed onto the ground.
The part where it got hit had a burned black mark. The intense fire element Spirit Power instantly exploded and burned the tree.
There were also faint reddish and blackish lines visible in the burn mark.
This was a fiery poison, an extremely vicious sort of poison.
The Spirit Body nodded satisfactorily. It wasn’t possible to tell how powerful the fiery poison was from testing it on a plant, but the impact that the Explosive Flame Bounce had was enough to make it happy.
A Level 1 High Grade spell was definitely way better than a Low Grade spell.
Rong Kaixuan put his Divine Sense away and rested for an hour. After that, he got up and picked up another manual from the bookshelf.
There was space for one more Spirit Body within the round ball in between his brows.
According to his original plan, he wanted to choose another major type of Spirit Power to cultivate. When he thought about the poison that was still in his cousin’s head, he suddenly felt an urge to enter the mountains and couldn’t wait a minute longer.
Thus, he was trying his best to make use of his time to increase his ability.
Compared to trying to learn the spells of a major type from scratch, it was more practical to continue working on the five-element spells and grasp a few more Level 1 High Grade spells instead.
In the days after that, he read three Level 1 High Grade spell manuals in one day. In no time, he had finished reading all the five-element Level 1 High Grade spell manuals that were available.
This was already the second time he had done something like this.
Unlike the first time, nobody mocked him anymore.
Many people still stole glances at him within the quiet library. Those glances were clearly filled with envy and jealousy.
Rong Kaixuan easily grasped the spells and even cast them very naturally. That sort of gift was powerful and incomparable. Unfortunately for them, not just anyone had the ability to reach such a level.
Earthquake Spell.
Vine Spell.
Suffocation Spell.
Gold Cracking Spell.
After 15 days, Rong Kaixuan had finished reading all the five-element Level 1 High Grade spell manuals on the bookshelf.
The abilities of the five Spirit Body Spellcasters far out in the mountains were increasing. Their survival skills in the deep mountains had increased by leaps and bounds. They started to move further into the mountains at the same time.
To a Spirit Body, they had to keep growing by engaging in battle. The happiest thing they experienced was to find a powerful enemy that was around their same level to spar with.
If an ordinary human had to constantly keep himself under such circumstances, he wasn’t going to live long.
Spirit Bodies were different because they had a body that never died. As long as they weren’t burst apart in a battle on the spot, they could take time to absorb more Spirit Power of Heaven and Earth to recuperate.
Even if they happened to run into an enemy that they couldn’t defeat and were destroyed as a result, Rong Kaixuan was able to evoke another one anytime he wanted.
Thus, these Spirit Bodies really used their greatest unique point and strength of being ferocious and unafraid to die to the maximum.
After Rong Kaixuan finished learning all these spells, he didn’t continue to study other Spirit Power types of spells. Instead, he left the Manuals Library.
He knew he could always learn them another time. Now, the three months he had promised was almost up, so he had to start making some arrangements.
The moment he got back home, he heard a servant report that Manager Ye Jianhao from Donghua Treasure Hall had come to visit him.
Rong Kaixuan quickly ran over to the main hall where Ye Jianhao, Rong Yihe, and Rong Kaihua were having an enjoyable chat.
He had a look of joy as he ran over and said, “Brother Ye, you’re finally here.”
Ye Jianhao laughed loudly and stood up. “Brother Rong, this time I had to prepare some things first, so it took me a while to come here.”
Rong Yihe smiled faintly and said, “Kaixuan, help to take good care of Brother Ye.”
“I will.”
Rong Yihe and his son turned and left. Ye Jianhao was the one who lent a helping hand and saved Rong Kaihua’s life, so the entire family was extremely grateful to Ye Jianhao.
Rong Kaixuan led Ye Jianhao to his room and said with a smile, “Brother Ye, I invited you over because I want to sell you talismans.” He paused for a while and said, “I had some things to do and couldn’t go over to Qiangan personally, so I hope you can understand.”
Ye Jianhao waved his hand and said, “I know you want to go into the mountains to find Five Colored Orpiment. This is the biggest matter on your mind now, so all other minor things have to stand aside for the moment.”
Rong Kaixuan was surprised and asked, “Brother Ye, how did you know about this?”
Ye Jianhao smiled faintly and said, “The servants in this household have been talking about it. You two brothers are so close-knit that you don’t know how many people are envious of both of you.”
Rong Kaixuan blinked a few times. There was a strange uneasiness that grew in his heart for some reason.
It was probably not a good thing for this matter to be so widely spread.
A look of anticipation flashed across Ye Jianhao’s eyes as he asked, “Brother Rong, how many talismans do you have for me since you wanted me to come here?”
Rong Kaixuan broke into a smile. He put aside his worries for the moment. He took out a box that he had already prepared long ago and said, “Brother Ye, all the talismans I’ve prepared are in here.”
Ye Jianhao looked deeply at him and opened the box a little excitedly.
A terrifying wave instantly surged out from the box. The force was so pressurizing that Ye Jianhao felt like he was going to suffocate.
