Chapter 23 What Happened?
At the residence of the outer sect disciples, Lin Shiqing was half-leaning against the wooden door of Lin Bei’s house.
She looked around at the panicked outer sect disciples who were shouting desperately. Their faces were filled with fear, as if something terrifying had happened around them.
“I wonder where Second Brother is? He even chased me out of the house,” Lin Shiqing mumbled to herself. “I’m not going anywhere today. I’ll wait for him at the door!”
Her small eyes, which were originally bright and lively, now looked even more fierce, which made her look mature. Perhaps this was what growth was! In an instant, her Qi Refining Stage had increased in an instant.
“Eh? How did I get stronger?” Lin Shiqing was even more puzzled. After all, she had been stuck at this level for almost a year. Could it be that a good mood could promote the advancement of one’s realm?
That didn’t sound too bad. It was all thanks to Lin Bei!
“Hmph! Stinky Second Brother, why aren’t you opening the door?”.
Suddenly, an earth-shattering explosion rang in Lin Shiqing’s ears.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
She was so frightened that she quickly covered her ears, afraid that the sound would shatter her eardrums. She curled up, and her body trembled like an injured puppy. Overall, she looked very pitiful.
Normally, there would be many ‘kind people’ around. They would rush over at the first moment to persuade her. After all, who could reject a cute little girl?
If it wasn’t for the fact that their Lin family had a big brother who was at the Qi Condensation Full Foundation Stage among the outer sect disciples, perhaps she would have been criticized by these old lechers and blocked the door to ask for a kiss.
As for whether it was just a kiss, no one knew. Only they knew what those guys were thinking
Soon after, a gust of wind blew past. Immediately, yellow sand filled the sky, and dust flew everywhere. The grass was blown to the ground, unable to move, sticking close to the ground. It didn’t look like grass, but more like a leek that had been laid flat.
The trees were on the verge of collapse, and some of the trees with unstable foundations were uprooted and laid on the ground, waiting for death.
Most of the houses that the outer sect disciples had casually built had their roofs blown off by the strong wind. It made people want to recite a poem.
In early autumn, the wind howled, sweeping up the three layers of reeds. It would cross the river and spit on the outskirts, the tall one hangs on the top of the long forest, and the small one floats and sinks into the pond.
The strong wind passed in a flash. Everyone came out from their hiding corners.
Their faces looked as if they had just survived a disaster. They couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief.
However, the crisis had not been resolved. As soon as they raised their heads, their faces immediately revealed a look of despair.
Lin Shiqing happened to be in the opposite direction of the wind and was not sent to the clouds by it. She couldn’t help but raise her head and look at the rocks that had appeared in the sky.
These rocks were flying normally, but they suddenly lost the power of the wind. They couldn’t help but stop in the sky.
They were of different sizes and shapes. The big ones were the size of a house, while the small ones were only the size of a little finger. There were square, round, flat, rectangular, and square.
Soon after, the rocks fell from the sky as the wind weakened. They were constantly accelerating. After all, it was a hundred meters in the air.
In the blink of an eye, one by one, the rocks with flaming tails shot down at high speed.

Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
One of the boulders landed on the ground and exploded like a bomb. The huge shock wave could instantly destroy buildings, trees, and people with low cultivation, even ordinary people. Just the shock wave alone was enough to send people flying.
As the rocks fell to the ground, crushed stones, corpses, arms, heads, and other things flew everywhere.
Huge pits several meters wide appeared on the ground. It was as if they had been bombed again.
It was unknown if it was because the original explosion had caused cracks in the ground, or was it because of the meteorite?
At this moment, there was a long gap in the ground from the middle. This gap continued to expand and deepen, and the houses nearby fell into the abyss. Some of the outer sect disciples and odd-job disciples lost their balance and fell into the hole.
As for why there were no higher-grade disciples who fell, it was because those who reached the Foundation Building Stage could simply ride a flying sword.
“Ah!”
“Help!”
“I don’t want to die!”
“Save me!”
No one had the time to care about others. In the face of such a great disaster, their own survival was the most important. Only by living would there be infinite possibilities.
Lin Shiqing’s body was surrounded by a faint red-crowned crane. From time to time, the rocks would hit the crane-shaped guardian, but it did not affect the guardian at all.
This continued for an unknown amount of time.
Lin Shiqing felt as if a century had passed. She couldn’t hear anything outside. She could only see the outer sect disciples who were crushed under the ruins.
There were also some who were hit by the rocks and lost their arms and legs. Some were even worse off, as their entire bodies were smashed by the huge rocks and turned into charcoal.
As for why it wasn’t meat paste, it was mainly because of the high temperature generated when the boulder fell, which instantly vaporized the minced meat.
Houses collapsed, trees were uprooted, and holes several meters deep could be seen everywhere.
The crack on the ground was less than a meter away from Lin Shiqing. If she had advanced a little further, she would have died without a burial place.
Lin Shiqing’s trembling hands were behind her as she held onto the door. She carefully looked at the crack in front of her and gasped at the sight.
It was so deep that one couldn’t see the bottom!
A faint protective shield in the shape of a crane turned into a white light and flashed in the direction of Lin Shiqing’s head. Gradually, she regained her hearing. She did not know that there was a force protecting her.

When the disaster around them had ended, Lin Shiqing turned her head and looked at where she was in disbelief.
The roof of Lin Bei’s house did not seem to be in danger. It was still intact.
It was a miracle.
Suddenly, the door behind her was pushed open.
Lin Shiqing was caught unaware, so she could not react in time. She was so frightened that she closed her eyes. But, at this moment, her heart was actually quite calm.
“So death is so close to me!”
She could hear the cries for help echoing in her ears and the sound of stones rolling to the bottom of the abyss.
She had already given up on resisting, and her body leaned forward slightly. In front of her was the bottomless abyss created by the explosion.
“Mom, Dad, Big Brother, Second Brother, Little Brother, see you in the next life.”
Just then, a pair of strong hands grabbed her.
“Don’t let go. I got you.” a familiar voice rang in her ears.
