Let’s Divorce! - Chapter 16
Chapter 16: Wronged
Xia Ran didn’t want to see him hugging another woman anymore. She turned around and left in disappointment.
When she returned home, Xia Ran laid on the bed alone in a daze. Her mind was filled with the way the man looked at her with disappointment and coldness.
Could it be that in his heart, she was such a person?
Did he not trust her at all?
As she thought about it, her tears fell again. It seemed that she liked to cry more after she was pregnant. She felt wronged more often and cried more often.
The man wouldn’t come back tonight, right? He would definitely watch over Zhu Qian since he was afraid that something would happen to her.
Xia Ran fell asleep while crying.

In the ward, Zhu Qian grabbed Mu Hua’s hand tightly and refused to let go.
She still had lingering fears. She had almost died!
She had not expected to shoot herself in the foot.
“Alright, don’t be afraid. I’m here,” Mu Hua comforted her.
“How can I not be afraid? Mu Hua, the car accident back then made me lose the right to be a mother, and now, the car accident made me lose my vision. Why… what did I do wrong…” Zhu Qian cried.
Mu Hua pursed his lips, not knowing how to answer.
If this was true, then it was indeed Xia Ran’s fault.
He already owed Zhu Qian a lot. He couldn’t let Xia Ran owe her anymore.
After a long time, Zhu Qian fell asleep. Mu Hua went to the doctor to ask about the situation.
“Miss Zhu was temporarily blinded because of the car accident and the congested blood in her brain pressed against her optic nerve. However, we can’t confirm the length of time her blindness will last. It might be a day, a month, a year…” The doctor explained.
Mu Hua’s heart was heavy as he drove back again. He specifically asked the property manager to pull out the surveillance camera at the entrance of the estate and it was facing the road.
In the surveillance camera, he heard Zhu Qian’s words to Xia Ran. She was begging Xia Ran to forgive her.
Then, Xia Ran wanted to shake off Zhu Qian’s hand. The two of them rushed to the road in the chaos. It was obvious that Xia Ran had pulled Zhu Qian onto the road.
After he watched the surveillance video, Mu Hua’s expression was cold as he returned home with a gloomy expression.
When Auntie He saw that Mu Hua was back, she hurriedly went upstairs and told Xia Ran, “Miss Xia, Mr. Mu is back.”
Xia Ran, who had already fallen asleep, immediately woke up. She couldn’t sleep well and had been having nightmares.
The man was back?!
Xia Ran rushed downstairs excitedly. When she saw the man in the living room, she immediately threw herself into his arms.
But this time, the man didn’t hug her back. Instead, he stiffly and coldly allowed her to hug him.
After sensing the gloomy aura on Mu Hua, Xia Ran slowly let go of her hand and looked up at the face she had loved for many years. He was still as handsome as ever. “Sir…”
“Xia Ran, why did you do this?” Mu Hua questioned sternly and coldly.
“What?” Xia Ran was stunned for a moment before explaining, “If you’re talking about Zhu Qian, then I can only say that she asked for it. She was the one who attacked first and wanted to push me onto the road…”
“Stop lying!” Mu Hua interrupted Xia Ran, his eyes filled with disappointment. “Xia Ran, when did you learn to lie? I’ve already seen the surveillance video. Zhu Qian has already apologized to you and asked for your forgiveness, but you shook off her hand and pulled her into the middle of the road?”
Xia Ran froze completely. So Zhu Qian’s words were a trap?
She guessed that the man would check the surveillance cameras?
As expected, that woman was too scheming!
Xia Ran felt suffocated. All her words seemed so feeble at this moment.
“You… don’t believe me, right?” Xia Ran’s eyes turned red again. She had been crying for a long time, and her eyes were swollen.
Mu Hua finally noticed this. She looked tired and aggrieved.
His heart softened.
Could it be that this little girl had been crying at home for a long time?
But she really shouldn’t have done this. She shouldn’t have laid her hands on Zhu Qian.
Mu Hua wanted to raise his hand to wipe Xia Ran’s tears, but he held back and softened his tone. “The video is right there. How can I believe you?”
“Sir, I’m not that kind of person!” Xia Ran raised her voice agitatedly.
“People change.” Mu Hua’s answer was so simple and hurtful.
Xia Ran finally broke down. She squatted down and hugged her knees with both hands. She buried her head and cried silently. When Auntie He saw this, she wanted to counsel her, but Mu Hua gestured for her to leave.
