Let’s Divorce! - Chapter 2
Chapter 2: Use Money to Send Her Away
Mu Hua’s eyes looked very deep and sharp. When he looked straight at Xia Ran, she felt nervous.
A horny man would be very unhappy when rejected directly. This was the first time Xia Ran had rejected Mu Hua.
“Not feeling well? Where?” He didn’t believe her.
“My heart feels uncomfortable.” Xia Ran mustered her courage and looked into those sharp eyes. Her face was filled with grievance. “Sir, who was that woman in your study today?!”
She didn’t want to pretend anymore, so she decided to clarify things.
When he heard this question, Mu Hua’s gaze instantly became complicated. He stood up and left Xia Ran. Then, he took out a cigarette and lit it. He gently held it between his fingertips. The scarlet cigarette butt flickered. He exhaled a mouthful of smoke and replied casually, “The future Mrs. Mu.”
The words “Mrs. Mu” stabbed into Xia Ran’s heart like a thorn. There was no blood, but the pain was suffocating.
She clenched her fists tightly. Her eyes were red. “What about me? What am I to you?”
Could it be that she was dispensable? Was she really just a tool for giving birth?
“Ranran, you’ve crossed the line. Have you forgotten why we got married?” Mu Hua looked at Xia Ran indifferently without any gentleness.
Of course, Xia Ran didn’t forget, but during the sweet life after marriage, she started to want to fight for it.
She asked in tears, “I didn’t forget, but is the love between us fake? Don’t you have any true feelings for me? You even said that you wanted to have a child with me, so we would have a complete family. Since you don’t love me, why did you marry me? Why didn’t you just marry the woman you love?!”
Xia Ran burst into tears. She was young to begin with and couldn’t control her emotions. When she cried, she wiped her tears with her fair and soft hands.
She knew that she shouldn’t be greedy. The man had already given her a lot.
But now that she had a child, she had to think about it.
A child needed a father and a complete family to grow up healthy and happy.
Mu Hua’s expression was cold. “Ranran, I don’t like you being unreasonable with me.”
There was already a hint of menace in these words.
Mu Hua had already finished smoking. He casually stubbed it out and looked at Xia Ran, who was crying.
He only told Xia Ran not to be unreasonable, but he never explained the woman in the study.
“I’m not being unreasonable!” Xia Ran choked on her tears and tried her best to raise her voice. “I just want to know if you love me or not? If I can really have a child with you, can you not divorce me and give the child a complete family?”
Xia Ran didn’t want to give up. She wanted to fight for it again.
Mu Hua was indifferent. In fact, he became even colder. “No, we have to get a divorce, but I will compensate you financially.”
Money, money, money. He was using money to get rid of her!
Xia Ran’s heart was filled with despair, and her tears flowed again. She didn’t get together with him for money. She wanted him!
She wanted his heart and his love.
However, Mu Hua’s words were too heartless, as if there was no room for consideration. Xia Ran couldn’t help but cover her face and cry to vent all the pain in her heart.
Finally, Mu Hua moved. He had never seen Xia Ran cry so sadly.
He took out a piece of tissue to wipe Xia Ran’s tears, but was flung away.
“It’s none of your business!” Xia Ran cried angrily.
Now, she wouldn’t listen to a single word from him. Mu Hua knew that there was no use for him to stay here. He left without saying anything.
Xia Ran looked at the closed door and the grief in her heart intensified. She cried until she was exhausted before falling asleep on the bed.
When she woke up, it was already morning. Xia Ran’s eyes were red and swollen, and she looked very listless.
She went downstairs for breakfast but didn’t see Mu Hua.
“Auntie He, did he go out last night?” Xia Ran sat at the dining table, her voice hoarse.
Auntie He sighed. “Yes, Miss Xia, did you guys have a conflict? Mr. Mu seemed angry when he went out last night and didn’t come back.”
Xia Ran felt extremely bitter. She ate her breakfast numbly and with hollow eyes, she looked at the seat where Mu Hua usually sat. The heartbroken feeling appeared again.
