Let’s Divorce! - Chapter 21
Chapter 21 Sudden Appearance
Xia Ran replied, “Yes, I’m not feeling very comfortable. I went back.”
She also wanted to study hard, but she realized that emotions could influence a person’s thoughts.
She was in no mood to study. She was thinking about what to do with him in the future and what to do with the child in her stomach.
Even though she knew that it was wrong to waste time like this, she still couldn’t help it.
“Alright, I think you should go to the hospital for a checkup. If you’re not feeling well, you have to get treatment,” Xu Jing said with concern.
“Yes, I’ll go.” Xia Ran also felt that she should see a psychologist.
After hanging up, she didn’t wait for Xiao Tuo anymore. Instead, she left the cafe alone.
As she walked slowly along the familiar streets and looked at the familiar scenery, Xia Ran felt an indescribable sadness in her heart. Was she going to walk alone in the future? Was the man no longer accompanying her on the road ahead?
She subconsciously touched her abdomen. What about the child? Would he be born without a father?
As she thought about it, her heart began to ache again.
Xia Ran, who was overcome with sorrow, didn’t notice the car following behind her at all. As she walked slowly, the car followed slowly.
Mu Hua sat in the car and followed the petite figure with his gaze. She seemed very lonely. She walked alone on the street and would stop from time to time to look around blankly.
Her dejected look made Mu Hua’s heart ache.
The Xia Ran in his heart should have been a happy and innocent little girl who was forever carefree. However, gradually, she seemed to have started to feel sad and became lost and lonely.
All of this was his fault. He knew it, so he felt guilty towards Xia Ran.
When they reached a crossroad, Xia Ran stopped in her tracks and waited quietly for the traffic light. However, because she was distracted, she was a step slower and ran the red light.
A hand grabbed her in time. She turned around and saw a familiar face.
“Sir?” Xia Ran couldn’t believe her eyes. How could it be him?
“What are you thinking about? How dare you get distracted when crossing the road? What if you get hit by a car?” Mu Hua lectured her sternly. She couldn’t be careless when it came to her safety.
Xia Ran was pulled back to the roadside. Mu Hua held her hand tightly, as if he was afraid that she would get lost.
Why did the man always give her such an illusion? He seemed to love her very much and was afraid of losing her.
This made her become increasingly attached to him.
“Why are you here?” Xia Ran didn’t answer Mu Hua. Instead, she asked in a daze. She looked cute and silly.
Mu Hua brought Xia Ran to a bench by the road and sat down. The smile on his face was gentle. “I came to look for you. Why didn’t you answer my call? I thought you were
gone.”
As he spoke, he held Xia Ran’s hand again.
Xia Ran’s heart warmed a little. So he missed her too.
“I don’t want to pick it up. You’re in the hospital accompanying the person you want to accompany. How would I dare to disturb you?” Xia Ran’s words were clearly filled with jealousy.
Mu Hua knew that the little girl was angry again. He squeezed her small and soft hand and coaxed her patiently. “Don’t be angry. I’ve never forgotten you. I wanted to go back to accompany you, but I was very busy with the company and school. In addition, I have to go to the hospital. I don’t have time at all. What gift do you want? I’ll buy it for you?”
This was almost the same as what Xiao Tuo had said, but when it came out of Mu Hua’s mouth, Xia Ran felt that it was exceptionally pleasant to the ears, as if she was being coaxed and pampered.
She actually didn’t have any gifts she wanted. If she had to say something she wanted, it would be his heart and love.
“I don’t want anything. Don’t think you can make me happy just by giving me something.” Xia Ran pouted.
“Really?” Mu Hua deliberately sighed. “Forget it. I wanted to go to the movies with you as compensation.”
“Movie?!” Xia Ran was pleasantly surprised. “Really? Just accompany me to the movie tonight?”
Mu Hua smiled even more dotingly. He pinched Xia Ran’s tender face. “Yes, tonight. Haven’t you always wanted me to watch a movie with you?”
Xia Ran nodded vigorously and the gloominess in her heart was swept away. She happily held Mu Hua’s hand and stood up. “Alright, let’s go buy tickets now. I heard that the new romantic comedy is very good!”
At her age, she liked to watch romantic movies that could move her to tears.
Mu Hua took out two tickets. “Take a look. Is this it?”
Xia Ran took it and took a look. It was really the movie she wanted to watch. She was both touched and guilty. She had really thought too badly of him.
