Let’s Divorce! - Chapter 3
Chapter 3: Let’s Make Up
Xia Ran didn’t answer Auntie He’s question. She finished her breakfast in a hurry and said, “Auntie He, I’m moving to school today for a period of time. The exam is coming up soon, so I have to study properly.”
“Miss Xia…” Auntie He was shocked and wanted to dissuade her.
“Don’t worry about me. I’m going to school.” Xia Ran knew what Auntie He wanted to say, but she didn’t want to hear it.
She didn’t want to say anything about her quarrel with Mu Hua.
After packing a few clothes, Xia Ran took a taxi to school. Actually, she didn’t have a bed in the dormitory, so she could only temporarily stay in her best friend and classmate Xu Jing’s rented room. It was very close to school.
This was the first time she had left home. She wondered if the man would be angry if he found out.
No, the person who should be angry now was her!
“Ranran, there’s a book signing event for Prince Charming Mu in a few days. Are you going?” Xu Jing asked Xia Ran excitedly.
Xia Ran had been staying here for two days. She looked like she had a lot on her mind. She might be able to relax at the signing event.
Prince Charming Mu was Mu Hua. Not only was he the boss of the Mu Corporation, but he was also a professor specifically hired by S University. He was a true prince charming in the literary world. His classes were always full, and his books were always sold out. He was the cream of the crop.
In the past, Xia Ran had also attended his class with excitement and fought tooth and nail to snatch his books for her collection.
As long as she saw him and the books he wrote, she would feel very happy.
She had never thought that one day, she would become the wife of her idol. To Xia Ran, this was simply a dream.
“I…” Xia Ran hesitated.
“What’s wrong? You used to go every time. You were more enthusiastic than me!” Xu Jing was surprised.
Yes, that was in the past.
The current Xia Ran was facing a divorce and becoming a single mother. The man she loved deeply wanted to marry another woman.
At the thought of this, her heart ached.
She lowered her head. “It depends. I seem to have caught a cold. I don’t have much strength.”
“Huh? Then remember to take your medicine. Don’t drag it out.” Xu Jing didn’t suspect it.
Xia Ran nodded and was about to continue studying when her phone rang. It was a call from the man.
Could it be that he knew that she had run away from home and was worried about her?
A trace of hope flashed across Xia Ran’s heart as she picked up the phone.
“Ranran, come back.” A familiar and magnetic mature man’s voice sounded on the other end of the phone. Xia Ran still liked it.
Every time she heard the man’s voice, she couldn’t help but become mesmerized.
But this time, she didn’t want to be so obedient. She braced herself and refused. “No, I want to stay in school to prepare for the exam.”
“I have something important to talk to you about. Come back.” Mu Hua sounded serious.
Xia Ran’s heart skipped a beat. Was it about the other woman? She also wanted to talk to Mu Hua properly. She had to think of a way to make him continue their marriage.
Soon, Xia Ran took a taxi home.
Seeing that she was back, Auntie He pulled her aside and reminded her softly, “Miss Xia, Mr. Mu is upstairs, but he seems to be in a bad mood.”
“Got it.” Xia Ran nodded and went upstairs.
When he pushed open the door to the study, Mu Hua was sitting at the desk. He was wearing a simple white shirt and looking down at something. When he heard the door open, he looked up. His handsome face could give anyone a visual feast at any time.
Xia Ran loved this face. She had loved it for five years!
She couldn’t give up.
“You’re back? Come here.” Mu Hua put down the document in his hand and said calmly.
Xia Ran walked over and saw the document on the desk at a glance. There were two divorce papers.
Her heart instantly tightened and she couldn’t breathe.
Was he going to divorce her no matter what? Was he that anxious?
Xia Ran tried her best to pretend not to see the document. She came back to protect her marriage.
“I was wrong.” Xia Ran walked to Mu Hua’s side and sat on his lap obediently. Her soft and fair arms wrapped around Mu Hua’s neck while her little head leaned onto the man’s broad and strong arms, like a coquettish kitten. “I shouldn’t have run away from home. I shouldn’t have thrown a tantrum at you. Let’s make up!”
The familiar and charming fragrance on Xia Ran’s body entered Mu Hua’s nose. His gaze changed and he subconsciously looked at the divorce agreement.
