Chapter 38: Shock
At the Bodhi Court, Su Qin casually stood before abbot Hui Wen. Abbot Hui Wen looked at him wide-eyed in fear. Su Qin was not in the Bodhi Court for long, yet he managed to render hundreds of Shaolin warrior monks of the Middle Realms as well as all the temple court heads powerless.
That kind of power was far beyond what could have been achieved by a typical first-rank grandmaster!
‘His Qi Vitality’s flowing in the wrong direction. His meridians are in disorder.’
Su Qin used his Truth Seeing Eye to assess abbot Hui Wen close up. Under the assessment of his Truth Seeing Eye, everything that was wrong with abbot Hui Wen’s body could be seen clearly by Su Qin.
Any other first-rank grandmaster, perhaps even a top first-rank warrior who had undergone one transformation would have been helpless when faced with abbot Hui Wen’s current condition. They might have been able to preserve his life if they used the limits of their ability, but they would not have been able to do anything beyond that.
After all, even a top first-rank warrior would not be able to have an understanding of abbot Hui Wen like the back of their hand. However, Su Qin was different.
Through the ability of the Truth Seeing Eye, Su Qin was like a miracle healer. All he needed to do was observe abbot Hui Wen determine the condition of his body. After that, saving him was as easy as pie.
“Are you…are you a Divine Master Abbot patriarch?” asked abbot Hui Wen as he looked at the blurry figure before him.
At that moment, abbot Hui Wen was no longer fearful. It was because if Su Qin had intended to kill him, he would have died a long time ago. After all, with Su Qin’s power, he probably would be able to easily defeat the entire Shaolin temple, let alone a frail cripple like him?
Yet, Su Qin did not kill him. He just stood there observing him. Hence, it was clear that he was not an enemy of the Shaolin temple. The only person in the Shaolin temple who might have possessed such power could only be that Divine Master Abbot patriarch. The same Divine Master Abbot patriarch who hid all the while, yet saved the Shaolin temple from destruction multiple times in the past.
“Please try not to talk. Now, try to control your Internal Force again.” Su Qin ignored his question. Instead, he raised his right hand and placed it on abbot Hui Wen’s chest.
“You want me to control my Internal Force again?” Abbot Hui Wen was stunned. He smiled bitterly. He already sustained a Qi Deviation and all the Internal Force within his body was disordered. How could he control it?
“Divine Master Abbot Patriarch, there’s no need to save me. It’ll only be a waste of your cultivation. Even if you manage to save my life, I’ll end up as a useless cripple. Why should you waste your energy on a cripple like me?” Abbot Hui Wen’s eyes were filled with a desolate light.
Abbot Hui Wen was extremely aware of the extent of his injuries. Once a martial artist suffered a Qi Deviation, there was no cure. Even if one forcefully spent all their cultivation to save him, he would still end up as a cripple.
However, in the next moment, a frightening amount of Internal Force flowed into abbot Hui Wen’s body from Su Qin’s right hand that rested on his chest. Through the flow of this Internal Force, the deviated Internal Force within abbot Hui Wen’s body became orderly and gently resumed to flow through his meridian.
“What’s this?” Abbot Hui Wen’s eyes widened in shock. He looked disbelievingly toward Su Qin. Abbot Hui Wen understood what he needed to do next. He immediately closed his eyes and began to control his Internal Force once more.
The rest of the temple court heads looked on worriedly as they watched the scene before them. Even though they were motionlessly locked in place, they were still in control of their thoughts. When they saw the actions of the blurry figure that invaded the Bodhi Court, they immediately guessed that it was there to save abbot Hui Wen.
“Is this person here to save abbot Hui Wen?”
“Is he the Divine Master Abbot patriarch?”
The temple court heads all wondered silently.
Once abbot Hui Wen had his Internal Force under control, Su Qin began to organize the disordered meridians. With the help of his Truth Seeing Eye, Su Qin hardly had to break a sweat to pull abbot Hui Wen out from his state of Qi Deviation.
After a while, Su Qin slowly released his hand.
“I’m…I’m okay?” Abbot Hui Wen opened his eyes and stared at his hands in disbelief.
All the other temple court heads were flabbergasted as they looked in the direction of abbot Hui Wen. They were instantly filled with joy. Were they dreaming? It looked like abbot Hui Wen fully recovered from his Qi Deviation!
It was extremely surprising because the extent of abbot Hui Wen’s Qi Deviation was so serious that even if a first-rank grandmaster was willing to take the risk of suffering a great loss in power to save him, all he might have been able to achieve was preserving abbot Hui Wen’s life. Even then, there was no guarantee that he could fully recover from his injuries!
Yet, as they saw abbot Hui Wen who was a picture of health and his aura returned to a stable state, all the temple court heads thought that they were dreaming.
“The Martial Arts Path needs to be taken step by step, one must never rush or act hastily,” reminded Su Qin as he looked at abbot Hui Wen. If abbot Hui Wen waited a couple more years and patiently trained his Internal Force in the meantime, he would not have suffered a Qi Deviation.
“I accept your teaching,” said abbot Hui Wen respectfully toward Su Qin as soon as he heard Su Qin’s advice.
To abbot Hui Wen, Su Qin was a Shaolin temple patriarch so it was only natural for him to treat him with respect.
Su Qin did not know how to react when he saw abbot Hui Wen treat him with such respect. He wondered what abbot Hui Wen’s reaction would be when he found out that the person standing before him was a lowly temple sweeper from the Miscellaneous Court.
“I should go…”
Su Qin glanced at all the temple court heads who were still trapped. Since abbot Hui Wen was saved, Su Qin should take his leave. The next moment, that mysterious force field that permeated the entire Bodhi Court disappeared gradually.
All the temple court heads took a deep breath in. They looked like they were just saved from being drowned as they abruptly stood up straight.
Splat!
The Martial Arts Court head crashed onto the ground and ended up completely covered in dust. He was in the middle of throwing a punch attack at Su Qin when he was trapped and unable to move. Since the force that held him disappeared, he was unable to control himself and fell straight to the ground.
The rest of the temple court heads immediately turned to look at abbot Hui Wen.
“That Divine Master Abbot patriarch has left…” said abbot Hui Wen in shock as he remained sitting on the ground.
“Abbot, abbot are you alright?” asked the Dharma Court head hastily as he rushed toward abbot Hui Wen.
“I’m fine,’ responded abbot Hui Wen as he shook his head.
“Your aura’s stable and your Qi Vitality’s flowy smoothly. Are you completely healed?” asked the Bodhi Court head as he checked abbot Hui Wen’s pulse.
Even though he could guess from abbot Hui Wen’s healthy complexion, he would not be able to relax fully until he was sure that abbot Hui Wen was fine. After all, Qi Deviation was not known for being incurable without good reason!
*****
By then, Su Qin already reached the outside of the Bodhi Court. Countless warrior monks were still lying unconscious on the ground when he got there. That only happened because these warrior monks stood in the way when Su Qin tried to get into the Bodhi Court.
Su Qin ignored them. After all, they only fainted and regained consciousness after a couple of hours. He returned to the Miscellaneous Court very swiftly. On the way back, he continued to use his Internal Force to conceal his identity and form. Only when he was certain that there was no one nearby, did he slowly release the concealment.
‘I didn’t know that the Truth Seeing Eye had this ability,’ thought Su Qin in amazement. He was deeply moved.
Through the Truth Seeing Eye, he was able to see every movement and activity within abbot Hui Wen’s body. Nothing was hidden from his sight.
