Chapter 55: We Have a Long Way to Go

Yunchuan looked like a beast who had been freed. He was staring down at his prey, and he could no longer suppress his nature. He wanted to eat her up right away.

The black eyes of his became even darker. He held onto Wen Xi’s waist, lifting her onto the table and forcing her down.

Wen Xi’s eyes went wide. She pushed his chest away. “What are you doing!”

With one hand, Yunchuan ripped off his tie along with the buttons, showing off his strong chest. “What am I doing? I’m continuing what was supposed to happen tonight!”

The moment he said that he lifted Wen Xi’s leg and pressed his waist forward.

Looking down on Wen Xi, his eyes burst with lust. “Women I have my eyes on never get away.”

Wen Xi tried her best to hold him off as she reached for a corner of the table. She remembered there was a pair of scissors there.

But just as she’d almost reached it, her hand was pressed down before being pulled above her head. He was using one hand to steadily hold both her arms down.

Wen Xi, in despair, tried her best to resist, as if she’d used all her breath to do so.

Yunchuan, panting, started laughing angrily. “You don’t want me this much? Who do you want then? He Yan?!”

He suddenly lowered his head and bit her shoulder, and the pain made Wen Xi shout out sharply. “Leave! You leave right now!!!”

The sound echoed throughout the room, but other than that, everything was quiet.

All of a sudden, the door burst open, and Wen Xi twisted her head to see her grandpa holding a gun pointed Yunchuan. “You damn bastard, what are you doing to my granddaughter in my house? You tired of living?” Her grandma came running in after that, eyes wide as she looked at the scene, almost collapsing.

Grandpa Wen held her up with his other hand.”Let her go!”

Yunchuan, calmly, stood up from Wen Xi, not panicking at all. He was still smiling softly.

Tidying up his clothes, he smiled at the two grandparents. “Young people play thrilling stuff like this all the time, sorry for disturbing you two today. My bad, I apologize.”

“Scram!” Grandpa Wen said with a handsome vigor, his anger exploding.

Yunchuan smiled, looking back at Wen Xi. “We still have a long way to go.”

With that, he took his coat and left.

Only after he’d left did Grandma Wen walk over to check on Wen Xi. “My Wen Xi, are you hurt anywhere?”

Wen Xi had already got up, trying not to let her grandparents see how pathetic she looked in her state. She tried to calm down. “Grandma, why do you have a gun?”

Grandpa Wen looked at it, smiled, and aimed it at his head before firing.

Wen Xi’s eyes widened, but no gunshot followed, only a smile on his face.

“Don’t worry, there are no bullets. Just scaring that damn bastard!”

Her grandparents’ faces darkened upon the mention of Yunchuan.

Suddenly, Grandma Wen cried out, her shaking finger pointing at Wen Xi’s exposed shoulder. “Ah! She’s hurt!”

“That bastard!! Ah- what’s wrong!”

Grandma Wen fainted

“I’ll call 120!”

She gave her grandma a quick checkup. It was the anger and frustration reaching her heart, nothing too much.

“Wait, grandpa!”

“What’s wrong?”

Wen Xi tried her grandma’s pulse. “Grandma is fine, she’ll wake up later. I’ll give her some medicine later, no need to call 120.”

“How do you know?” Wen Xi looked at him. “Grandpa, I’m a medical student.”

“You’ve been in medical school just one year, what do you know after just entering into that world? It’s safer just to call 120.”

Wen Xi, helpless, suddenly remembered someone. Her eyes lit up as she looked out the window. Her neighbors’ lights were still turned on.

“The ambulance will take too long, there’s a doctor next door! I’ll go get him!”
