Maid’s Night - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
There was no one in the room, it was completely empty. There was no bride, but only an empty bed. As if there was no one from the beginning. “She went outside… from the window.”
It was a long time ago that the Princess, who had asked her for a favor, told her to weave the clean bedclothes and blankets. Despite not knowing what was happening, because the princess had asked for it, Evely obeyed. She couldn’t resist and tied the blankets tightly, after which the Princess asked her to throw them out of the window this time.
Only then, Evely, who figured out the meaning, panicked and said, “No,” but the princess was unwavering.
“You’ll do me a favor this one time, won’t you?” She just smiled and leaped out.
The Princess had initially promised to come back before Alec came to the room, but Evely could not even see her nose. She suddenly disappeared like a mirage.
“Do you think this makes sense?”
There was no answer. What should she even say? She knew it didn’t make sense, so she had nothing more to say.
“What did you do? I’m not sure if you’ve been doing your work.”
He ran out of words to reproach her with. He couldn’t help it either, but he also knew that holding her accountable was inevitable. She didn’t know what to answer, so she chose to be silent. She didn’t know where to start and how to explain the situation or anything else. This incident was just hopeless and difficult to explain, and Evely could only roll up and squeeze her maid’s uniform hard. She eventually began to spit out whatever came to her mind.
“It’s… it’s my fault. Please scold me for the mistake I made. I have nothing to say even if you lock me up in the basement, hang me in the backyard, and punish me. It’s all my fault…”
