Chapter 388 – “Let Zhizhi bed me.” (1)
Ning Zhi felt that only providing money for treatment for them was not the be-all-end-all. She also set up training facilities in her foundation and recruited volunteers and professionals to teach skills to autistic individuals. She even gone as far as providing suitable positions for autistic individuals under the umbrella of the Ning Corporation.
Old Mr. Ning was surprised at his granddaughter’s attention to details but he was always supportive of her. He had put a lot of his manpower in assisting her.
The butler reported some activities about the foundation to Old Mr. Ning and, finally, he couldn’t help but said to him, “Master, Young Mistress’s personality is very similar to yours.”
Determine, kind, with a soft and strong heart.
Old Mr. Ning put down the cup of tea in his hand when he heard them. He had been getting more and more energetic as of late. He couldn’t help but smiled and said, “She’s a child of the Ning’s. Of course she has similar personality to mine.”
“In addition, here are some information on Young Master Lu Jue. Our men reported back that Young Master Lu Jue is single and had never dated before. He was never involved in any scandals. He had autism in the past but had a major illness after he was kidnapped a year ago and had recovered from it. He then joined the Lu Corporation and has a very steep learning curve. He had completed a major project within 6 months.”
“Autism?” Old Mr. Ning was friends with Old Mr. Lu but the Ning’s and the Lu’s did not have a lot of exchanges since the passing of Old Mr. Lu. Old Mr. Ning did not know much about the recent activities of the Lu family.
He found out just now that Lu Jue had autism in the past.
He recalled how articulate the little jerk was in front of him, smart even. He did not look like one that had anything to do with autism. That being said, his granddaughter had just set up an autism foundation. Did that have anything to do with Lu Jue?
That thought displeased Old Mr. Ning.
He had a feeling that the little jerk Lu Jue would take away the pearl of the Ning’s sooner or later.
Over at City B, Lu Jue, who was eyeing the Ning’s little princess was busying himself day and night planning a pleasant surprise.
Mother Lu noticed that her son had been in good spirit ever since his return from City Nan. He was no longer the gloomy and blue person that he once was. She even caught him smiling one time.
Ever since her son had returned to normal, she had never seen him smile. In fact, she had rarely seen her son smile since he was a child.
Mother Lu was very curious what it was that made her son so happy, to the point that he was smiling.
Mother Lu speculated that perhaps her son was in a relationship. But she had checked with Wei Xing, his assistant. Wei Xing told her that Lu Jue was just going to work and back home everyday and did not go on any dates.
Mother Lu had no choice but to put her curiosity aside.
On this day, a friend of Mother Lu’s brough over her daughter who had just returned from overseas after completed her studying.
“This is my youngest daughter that I talked about all the time. She had recently returned to China.” Mrs. Li gestured her daughter to greet Mother Lu.
“Hi, Aunty Lu, it is nice to meet you.” Mrs. Li’s daughter’s name was Jie Xiaoning. She said with a pretty smile. “My mom had always told me that Aunty Lu is very pretty. Now I see that she had not been exaggerating.”
Mother Lu smiled and said, “Oh child, you are such a sweet talker.”
She looked Jie Xiaoting up and down. Jie Xiaoting was delicate looking. She did not stand out but was pleasing to the eyes.
“Don’t encourage her. She sure was good with words when she was arguing with me. She gives me headaches all the time.” Mrs. Li might be complaining but her voice was filled with pride. “She is still so young but her twisted logic can make one speechless for sure.”
“That sounds nice. She’s very unlike my son. One could hardly get a word out of him.” Mother Lu said casually, “It would be nice if we can average out the two of them.”
“Oh, listen to you. It’s better than a boy is quiet than flirty talker who spews out empty promises all the time.” Mrs. Li had a big smile on her. “That being said, it’s best for a quiet person to be with an out-going person in a relationship. They can compliment each other nicely.”
Mother Lu nodded, “You are right about that.”
