Chapter 26 part2
Xie Mingzhe replied, “Please give me 100 pieces of Nebula paper of the highest level.”
“!!! 100 pieces of Nebula paper of the highest level? Have I misheard him?”
Seeing that the shopkeeper was stunned by his words, Xie Mingzhe continued, “The unit price of the highest-level Nebula paper is 500 gold coins. I’m one of your regular customers, so what about giving me a discount and selling 100 pieces of paper for 40,000 gold coins? We can establish a long-term cooperation between us.”
Receiving a large order, the shopkeeper recovered his poise, saying, “OKOK!” He quickly brought Xie Mingzhe a stack of Nebula paper of level five. While counting, he asked, “Did you make a fortune, Uncle Chubby? Why do you want to buy the highest-level paper?”
“No, I didn’t.” Xie Mingzhe humbly said, “I just want to know if the data of a card made with the highest-level Nebula paper will be better.”
After buying the paper, Xie Mingzhe went back to his individual space, starting to paint Xue Baochai again.
The gloss of the highest-level Nebula paper was much better than that of the level-one paper. He painted more smoothly on the paper and used less Inner Spirit this time.
As expected, the data had improved. The Agility increased from 15 to 20, but it failed to reach 30.
Xie Mingzhe calmed down and pondered on the causes.
[Lin Daiyu]’s and [Wu Song]’s instant death skill was just created by chance.
However, now he actively tried to create instant death skills. He must take the image of the character, the description of the skill and the distribution of the data into consideration, each of which required plenty of attention, so making an ideal card became much more difficult.
According to the database rules of World of Star Card, the base data of different kinds of cards, such as HP, Defense, Attack and Agility, will each have a range. The official database will keep the data within this range and randomly generate a number.
Since an IDE card was a tactical card focusing on Agility, it would be better to boost the data to the extreme – completely ignore HP, Defense and Attack, while making Agility the highest.
Xie Mingzhe closed his eyes to relax himself for a moment, and then he reconnected to the card making system to concentrate his Inner Spirit.
At this moment, nothing was in Xie Mingzhe’s mind but one [Xue Baochai] card that was enlarged countless times. Every detail, including the hair of the character, was clearly shown.
The skill description and data of the card floated in front of his eyes like a subtitle.
He used Inner Spirit to re-edit the card’s data. Then he saw that the numbers constantly changed under his spiritual control, just like the numbers in the lottery, with no specific rules. Health, Attack, Defense, Agility, Critical Strike Chance… All the attributes were changing at the same time, but he only focused on Agility. When the Agility changed to 30, he immediately stopped thinking.
“Congratulations, you’ve created a card successfully. Please confirm the changes you made and wait for verification.”
The card quickly passed the verification and the “月半” LOGO was printed on the lower right corner of the card.
Xie Mingzhe picked up the card and observed it carefully.
[Xue Baochai] (Water)
Card Level: 1
Evolution Level: ★
Available Times of Use: 1/1
Base Attributes: Health 200, Attack 0, Defense 100, Agility 30, Critical Strike Chance 0%
Additional Skill: Baochai Chasing Butterflies (Baochai wields a circle hand fan to beat at butterflies to cause huge damage to them. Has a 30% chance of triggering the instant death effect.)
He made it!
Agility 30, and a 30% chance of triggering the instant death effect – he had finally made what Legend Tang had described as “an excellent IDE card”!
The girl on the card face was dynamic, wielding a circle hand fan to beat at two butterflies in front of her. This picture was full of vigour, showing the girl’s personality.
He took another Nebula paper trying to improve [Lin Daiyu].
Once again, he concentrated Inner Spirit to enlarge [Lin Daiyu] in his mind and re-edited the data, changing its Agility to 30. Although there was a slight decline in Defense and HP, but there was not much difference between 100 HP and 80 HP when facing a card with Attack reaching the hundreds of thousands.
Under the premise that the two cards are evenly matched, it’s key that the IDE card had 100 Agility. Otherwise, an IDE card with 99 Agility wouldn’t be able to activate the IDE skill even if it was only 0.1 second slower than the opponent’s card when releasing skills. Then the IDE card would be completely useless.
Even if it was a 100 Agility IDE card, as long as the opponent could predict the timing, then he would use different methods to avoid triggering the IDE skill. On the other hand, by predicting the timing, Xie Mingzhe could also use the IDE card to instakill the opponent’s card when it’s in CD.
In a master’s set of cards, the 100 Agility IDE card will definitely play a role.
Seven-star, full-grade black [Lin Daiyu], Agility 100, with an IDE skill against flower cards.
Seven-star, full-grade black [Xue Baochai], Agility 100, with an IDE skill against butterfly cards.
These two cards would definitely make him famous in the card-making field.
Xie Mingzhe held the two cards, smiling very happily.
Under Legend Tang’s guidance, he had make a qualified IDE card successfully. What he had to do next was to attend tomorrow’s auction to buy a shop in a lovely location. He wanted to name it as “月半 Card Storage”.
He would be a small boss selling cards to accumulate wealth.
Xie Mingzhe found it particularly interesting after doing several battles against Legend Tang in the Arena. This game’s battle mode was totally different from any game he had played before. In the future, if he could make a complete set of character cards, he would try to join the races held by the National Star Card League!
