“Oomph!”
Knowing that she could not avoid his palm strike, Tang Ning did not try to dodge it. Instead, she stepped forward and brutally plunged the dagger into her attacker’s thigh, she then twisted it to dig even deeper, and the dagger carved out a bloody piece of flesh. The two men, who had come forward intending to assist their Master, were startled by the gruesome sight.
“Ahhh…! I’m going to kill you!” The Second Master screamed with a murderous look on his face.
Tang Ning’s shoulder was injured by the Second Master with his earlier attack, and she was breaking out in cold sweat due to the excruciating pain. Tang Ning quickly swallowed back the mouthful of blood that had gushed up to her throat.
“Come on now. Take another step, and I’ll disable your third leg!”
Tang Ning spoke with stern conviction. The ruthless look on her face and her merciless glare convinced the three men that this little monk would surely do what he was claiming. After all, just moments ago, the little monk had ruthlessly stabbed her hostage’s thigh without hesitation and was even cruel enough to twist the dagger deeper into the flesh. It was clear that the little monk was vicious and relentless.
“You wouldn’t dare!”
“Try me!”
Tang Ning stabbed Second Master again, this time on his inner thigh. The man pursed his lips tightly as he writhed in pain, gritting his teeth to stop himself from shouting out loud. He was afraid that the little monk would really cut off his third leg.
There was a puddle of blood at the Second Master’s feet, formed from his bleeding wounds. His face was now ghastly pale, without any trace of its previous ruthlessness. As for the other two men, their hearts were filled with anxiety, but they were utterly helpless.
They had been ordered to protect the Second Master. If anything happened to the Second Master, they would not be able to escape.
The lanky man took a deep breath. Maintaining a steady gaze on Tang Ning, he gingerly edged towards the middle-aged man and then said, “Don’t do anything impulsive more, we won’t attack you. We’ll step back.”
Immediately after, a sleeve arrow flew out of nowhere at lightning speed towards Tang Ning.
As much as Tang Ning wanted to fend off the attack, the sleeve arrow penetrated her internal aura at a speed which was way too fast and beyond her control. She did not have sufficient power at her level to handle such an attack. Tang Ning felt a sharp pain in the arm that was holding the dagger, and then an aching numbness that spread down to her palm. The dagger fell out of her hand and dropped to the ground with a “clang.”
She wanted to pick up the dagger and hold it to Second Master’s throat again, but she was not fast enough. A figure flashed before her eyes, and the next thing she knew, she was struck by a single blow that sent her flying in the air.
“Oomph!”
She groaned as she landed on the ground. The alms bowl she was holding fell out of her arms, bouncing and rolling away from her. Feeling like her bones had been shattered into a million pieces, she lay there, trying to catch her breath. Blood was trickling out of the corners of her mouth.
“Kill him!”
The middle-aged man helped the Second Master to his feet. With a vicious look burning in his eyes, the Second Master glared at the pathetic little monk sprawled on the ground. At the thought of his disabled hand and the brutal stabbing he had to endure, he wished to go up to the little monk and tear him to shreds right now.
At the orders of the Second Master, the lanky man went forward, gathered soul force energy in his palms, and delivered a powerful blow to the little monk. As the little monk did not have any cultivation, he was confident that this blow would kill him.
Tang Ning saw the man delivering the blow, she knew the energy force coming at her was a strong and powerful one. At that moment, she felt so close to her death.
However, her survival instincts kicked in. Tang Ning endured the excruciating pain to roll away on the ground and then jump to her feet. She managed to dodge the first blow and quickly retreated. But her opponent did not intend to give her time to catch her breath. After missing the first hit, he immediately launched a second attack.
