Tang Ning could feel something was appearing in her palm. She didn’t know what that thing in her hand was, but even before she could process what she held, she instinctively threw it towards the monster and let out an angry shout.
As the thing flew out of her hand, she realized that its texture seemed to be the same as that of her alms bowl?
While Tang Ning was pondering about it, she saw the light encompassing the bowl she threw out, and the light instantly increased the size of the bowl. The bowl crashed towards the chasing monster, and with the bowl in an inverse position, the monster was eventually trapped under it.
Tang Ning was dumbfounded at the scene before her, then she called the young girl who fell to the ground, “Run! Run quickly if you don’t want to die!”
The young girl got up from the ground with trembling legs. She looked at Tang Ning thankfully and ran towards the woods, enduring the fear in her heart.
Tang Ning didn’t know if these people could survive, but she already did her best by turning back to save them. Whether they could survive eventually would depend on their luck and fate.
Tang Ning picked up her bowl and felt that there was no movement in the bowl. She thought of keeping her bowl to continue running, but from the corner of her eye, she saw the young girl from before looking dazedly at her.
“Why are you still here?”
Tang Ning frowned and said, “Escape quickly now, you shouldn’t stay here for too long.”
“I-I will follow you.” The young girl shook her head and took one step forward, following closely behind Tang Ning.
Tang Ning glanced at her and said, “Let me tell you. I will only save a person at most once. Since you refuse to escape, don’t blame anyone if you get killed by the monsters.”
“Yes.” The young girl responded as her fingers clenched into tight fists in her palm. She glanced at the little monk before her and then lowered her eyes, looking down.
Tang Ning felt a warm gush of energy flowing into her body from her palm. As the warm current entered her body, the heat on her palm gradually disappeared.
She looked in the direction where the men with swords had gone, a flash of coldness appeared in her eyes. Since they dared to kidnap her here to feed the monsters, then she would let them have a taste of their own medicine!
After running for a distance, she shouted, “Return!”
The bowl immediately shrunk and returned to her hand, then it disappeared from her palm. At the same time, the trapped monster rushed forward violently. It let out a vicious growl and pounced towards the two figures before it.
Tang Ning started running, and the young girl also immediately followed behind her. They were leading the monster back to its lair.
When the monster that was originally chasing its prey saw mere humans gathering around its lair, it felt like an offended king and raised its head and roared, as if calling back its partner. Then, the monster growled bloodthirstily and brutally pounced towards those humans.
As for the two little humans from before, it had long forgotten about them. After all, nothing was more important than defending its territory and chasing intruders away.
Tang Ning and the young girl had already found themselves a hiding place.
When the men with swords heard the monster’s roar, they turned their heads only to realize that the monster was now rushing towards them. At that moment, someone shouted, “Old Ancestor! The monster is back!”
Inside the lair, the elder was anxiously and carefully putting the Red Solar Fruit he just picked into an icebox. As he finished keeping the icebox into a cosmic bag, he heard the screams and monster’s roars from outside. He quickly made his way out.
Just when the elder reached the entrance of the lair, he saw one of the men sent flying by the monster, and the latter’s corpse landed right in front of him. Then he saw a monster blocking the entrance, with its bloodthirsty and savage aura exuding from it. The monster was revealing his sharp fangs, and its furs were standing on its body.
