Chapter 143: Chapter 143 Divorce
“I just don’t want to cook, tell me, what status do I have in this family?” Liu Yujuan asked.
“Alright, I’ll tell you clearly, in this family, you are just a nanny, a nanny, get it? You should do what a nanny is supposed to do, instead of not cooking like you have been recently, not cooking today and not even informing me and my dad. I think you don’t want this job anymore!” Yang Jingsheng said.
“Okay then, I’ve been in this family for over a decade, raising you to adulthood, and to think, in your heart, I’m just a nanny.” Liu Yujuan glanced at Yang Jingsheng, then turned to Yang Tiancheng, “Yang Tiancheng, this is your son, this is how he treats me, won’t you say something?”
Before Yang Tiancheng could speak, Yang Jingsheng burst out laughing: “Hahaha, you say you raised me, who gave you the face to say such a thing? My growth has nothing to do with you, you’re just a nanny who did what you were hired to do. Don’t keep saying you raised me; it’s my dad who has been raising me. Actually, it’s you, without my dad, you wouldn’t even have the chance to live the life you do!”
Yang Jingsheng was in a bad mood and let all his thoughts out.
“Enough, Jingsheng, don’t say anymore,” Yang Tiancheng gestured with his hand, speaking indifferently.
His attitude clearly showed agreement with Yang Jingsheng’s words.
Liu Yujuan’s contribution to Yang Jingsheng’s upbringing held no significance.
“Dad, what’re you afraid of? I’m just telling the truth. They’re just parasites, mother and daughter. Without you, they wouldn’t have been able to enjoy a life without worries about food and clothes for over a decade, let alone live in a villa.”
“They’re just lowly to the bone, especially this Liu Yujuan; she’s becoming more and more presumptuous. If we don’t teach her a lesson, she won’t recognize her place in this family, and in the future, she’ll cause even more trouble.”
Now that he had spoken, Yang Jingsheng became unrestrained.
“In that case, Yang Tiancheng, let’s get a divorce,” Liu Yujuan seized the opportunity to propose divorce.
Originally, she had thought of a different reason, but with Yang Jingsheng acting like this, she felt this reason was better.
“What did you say?!” Before Yang Tiancheng could respond, Yang Jingsheng started shouting again, “Liu Yujuan, you actually dare to propose a divorce to my dad, do you think you have the right? In our family, you may be the nanny, but you don’t lack food or clothing. If you divorce my dad, you’ll be nothing!”
Yang Tiancheng said in a stern voice: “Jingsheng, stop talking.”
“Dad, am I wrong?” Yang Jingsheng said, “I think she hasn’t adjusted her mentality, doesn’t know who she is, and dares to talk about divorce with you. Once she divorces you, not to say she’ll be out on the streets, but her quality of life will probably fall by so many levels, almost like those at the very bottom of society. No, that’s wrong, she was already one of the lower echelons, if not for coming to our house to be a nanny…”
Seeing his son going too far, Yang Tiancheng again gestured with his hand and interrupted sternly: “That’s enough, stop talking!”
Observing the seriousness in Yang Tiancheng’s tone, far more severe than his previous nonchalance, Yang Jingsheng had to cut himself off and fell silent, though his look towards Liu Yujuan still carried scorn.
Yang Tiancheng took a deep breath and looking at Liu Yujuan said, “Yujuan, are you serious? Do you really want to divorce me?”
Liu Yujuan nodded: “Of course, I wouldn’t say such a thing casually. Have I ever mentioned divorce to you before?”
Yang Tiancheng asked, “Why?”
“Because of your son,” Liu Yujuan said, “I’ve taken care of this family for over a decade and done everything a mother should do, but you just heard it yourself, your son only sees me as the nanny. What’s the point of me staying in this house?”
Yang Jingsheng contemptuously said, “Still saying you did everything a mother should do, you really know how to flatter yourself. If not for my dad giving you money, would you have done those things? Any nanny could do them; you need to understand your own position!”
Liu Yujuan ignored Yang Jingsheng and turned to Yang Tiancheng: “You see, I don’t think there’s any need for me to stay in this family. If I stay, who knows what unsightly things your son might say next.”
Yang Jingsheng sneered, “If you don’t want to stay, then scram, and do it today, right now!”
Yang Tiancheng glared at his son and said in a deep tone, “Jingsheng, enough!”
Yang Jingsheng huffed but said nothing more.
Yang Tiancheng took a deep breath, sat down on the sofa across from Liu Yujuan, and asked, “I still want to ask one more time, why?”
He certainly didn’t believe that just because of a few words from his son, Liu Yujuan would want a divorce.
“I just said it, because of your son, he treats me like a nanny, I don’t have a reason to stay in this family anymore,” Liu Yujuan said.
“You can deceive other people with that kind of talk, but not me,” Yang Tiancheng said with a sneer.
“How did I deceive? What I’m saying is the truth,” Liu Yujuan said, her face expressionless.
“Alright, since you don’t want to say it, I’ll say it for you. You want a divorce because you see that I’ve lost power in the company, and you feel that it will be difficult for me to maintain my current status. Meanwhile, Zhao Hai has become the general manager of Haidilao, and with the company’s development, his position will only get higher and higher. You want to divorce me and then remarry Zhao Hai, am I wrong?” Yang Tiancheng said.
Liu Yujuan didn’t respond.
Yang Tiancheng had guessed the real reason she had asked for a divorce, and she wasn’t surprised.
After all, Yang Tiancheng was an old fox.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to become the vice president of a restaurant group.
Having been husband and wife for more than ten years, it would have been surprising if Yang Tiancheng couldn’t see even this much.
“Liu Yujuan, you whore, to think of another man while within my house!” Yang Jingsheng cursed.
“Yang Jingsheng, you’re going too far!” Zhao Yulu originally didn’t want to get involved in this matter, but Yang Jingsheng’s words were simply too much.
“How am I going too far? Is your mother not a whore? She’s still with my father but fancies other men!” Yang Jingsheng said angrily.
“Enough, Jingsheng, don’t speak anymore, I’ll handle this,” Yang Tiancheng said, waving his hand to signal his son to stop talking.
“Dad, you’re being too kind to her. If you ask me, a woman like this should be thrown out of the house long ago. She’s just a cheap woman who doesn’t deserve to stay in this family,” Yang Jingsheng said.
“Enough, don’t speak anymore!” Yang Tiancheng shouted sharply, somewhat angrily.
Yang Jingsheng snorted coldly but said no more.
“Yujuan, I wasn’t wrong about what I just said, was I?” Yang Tiancheng’s gaze returned to Liu Yujuan.
Liu Yujuan still did not speak.
“If you say nothing, I’ll take it as you’ve agreed.”
“Actually, your move wasn’t very good. Do you think you can get back with Zhao Hai?”
“Let me tell you, it’s impossible. No man would accept a woman who has betrayed him, especially since you’ve been away from him for so many years.”
“You were pretty when you were young, but look at how old you are now, in your forties. How can you compare with those younger women?”
“With Zhao Hai’s current status, he can have any type of woman he wants. Young female graduates who are prettier and younger than you would flock to him if he just showed interest.”
“Why would he choose you, a woman who once betrayed him?”
Every word from Yang Tiancheng struck right at Liu Yujuan’s heart.
But she had already spoken, sealing her inability to turn back.
And yet, she still believed that she could return to Zhao Hai’s side.
Liu Yujuan said, “This family can no longer accommodate me. Just based on what your son just said, no matter what you say, I still want to divorce you. Let’s go through the procedures tomorrow.”
