MMORPG: Blessed God Of War - Chapter 57
Chapter 57: Undead Creatures Block The Way
As the Brilliance Camp’s battle machinery instantly killed World’s Best, his plan was considered a failure.
With World’s Best’s failure, the Darkness Camp’s senior executives had no choice but to follow their initial plan again—activate all of the Giant Skeletal Cannons to blow up the entire battlefield.
The skeletal cannonballs fell from the sky like meteors before landing on the ground with rolling black fumes.
The endless black fog quickly spread throughout the battlefield with the sounds of explosions. All of a sudden, the terrifying black fog shrouded more than half of the battlefield.
As soon as ten minutes passed, the black fog disappeared on its own, revealing the situation in the black fog.
There were no other figures around In the area initially engulfed by the black fog other than a few Boss-level existences and Liu Ming.
If not for the fact that both players and monsters in God Domain immediately turned into light and vanished after dying, more than half the battlefield would probably be covered in corpses.
At this moment, the Boss-level NPC monsters were not in a good state. After all, the wave of artillery attacks was well-rounded. It was possible that those unlucky were right within a few Giant Skeletal Cannons’ range.
However, Liu Ming—whose Health Points were the lowest and was still protected by Holy Protection, which seemed to be on the verge of shattering—did not show any signs of being killed at all.
Liu Ming did not lose any Health Points either.
Liu Ming behaved this way entirely because he decided to make a Hail Mary effort by activating Blessing Of Lady Luck upon discovering that he could not escape the overwhelming attacks at all.
As a result, Liu Ming really did not suffer much damage after activating Blessing Of Lady Luck.
In fact, the Giant Skeletal Cannons had such terrifying lethal power because the black fog itself had a Curse effect.
Existences that lacked Curse resistance and could not get past the system’s judgment would have their Health Points depleted in a few short seconds.
Besides, in God Domain, battle machinery could not distinguish between enemies and allies. As long as one was within its attacking range and was not immune to attacks launched by battle machinery, they would suffer major damage from the attacks.
Among the Profession Skills Liu Ming had learned, some increased his resistance towards abnormal statuses. However, Liu Ming was only at Level 30-something of the Elite stage. No matter how superior his Skills were, they would still be ineffective against a truly high-level curse.
However, after activating Blessing Of Lady Luck, Liu Ming’s resistance toward abnormal statues soared. But Liu Ming was still a little angry even though he did not sustain any damage. Previously, they had secretly launched a few cannon attacks on him. Now, they actually launched multiple cannon attacks on him. They had really gone overboard.
Hence, Liu Ming rode the Purgatory Nightmare and charged towards the Darkness Camp’s base without hesitation.
…
Heavy battle machinery like Giant Skeletal Cannons required a long time to reload after each attack.
While the Darkness Camp had such huge weapons, the Brilliance Camp naturally also had powerful war machines as well.
In order to prevent the Giant Skeletal Cannons from being destroyed by the Brilliance Camp’s war machines, they had to switch the cannons’ positions after every attack. Likewise, if the positions of the Brilliance Camp’s war machines were exposed, they would also have to be relocated before the Giant Skeletal Cannons attacked.
Both parties were originally wary about each other’s battle machines, so neither of them dared to put the large weapons to use. Yet, in the end, the Darkness Camp had no choice but to activate the Giant Skeletal Cannons in advance because Liu Ming had completely disrupted the balance of the battle between the two parties.
A single mistake led to greater mistakes.
The Darkness Camp used the Giant Skeletal Cannons first. Thus, causing them to fall into a passive position.
Shortly after the Giant Skeletal Cannons killed the soldiers of both parties, dozens of colorful light rays shot upwards from where the Brilliance Camp was. They sliced through the void and landed in the Darkness Camp’s area immediately.
All of a sudden, most of the Giant Skeletal Cannons vanished together with the Demon Soldiers transporting them. They all vanished because of the dazzling light, except for some that had been moved away in time.
The main target was still alive and well, but half of their trump cards were gone. This made the faces of the Darkness Camp’s senior executives, including Kelop City’s City Lord, turn extremely sullen and hostile.
The City Lord of Kelop City could strongly sense someone’s malicious intentions in particular.
Of course, the high-level NPCs, fortunately, could not identify Liu Ming from afar and simply treated him as one of the Brilliance Camp’s new generation powerhouses.
World’s Best, who bore a grudge against Liu Ming, was completely shocked speechless at this moment. World’s Best—who had returned to the city wall—initially felt somewhat disappointed because Liu Ming did not die because of his plan.
In the end, Liu Ming actually survived despite all of the Giant Skeletal Cannons bombarding the battlefield simultaneously. World’s Best dared not believe reality at all.
However, it was meaningless for World’s Best to be in denial, even if he could not believe it, now that the truth was right before him.
At this juncture, World’s Best finally regretted forming such a huge feud with Liu Ming.
…
Liu Ming naturally did not know about what World’s Best was thinking. However, even if he did know, Liu Ming would still feel that the other party was just overthinking it. As long as World’s Best did not dig his own grave by provoking him, Liu Ming would not be bothered to chase after him.
After all, even if one was killed in the game to the extent of deleting their account, they could simply just create another account. Thus, it was rather meaningless.
Under such conditions, Liu Ming might as well kill a few more Boss-level monsters if he had the time to kill a minion.
Of course, if anyone intentionally looked for a fight like World Battle Fanatic, Liu Ming would not give in to them.
…
No matter how much World’s Best mulled over those issues and how infuriated the Darkness Camp’s NPCs were at Liu Ming, Liu Ming nonetheless was quick to charge towards the Darkness Camp’s campground.
At this moment, the Darkness Camp’s Giant Skeletal Cannons had already been destroyed to the extent of having only a few left.
When Liu Ming barged in, the Monster Troops had just moved the Giant Skeletal Cannons to another setup point. They had yet to reload them with skeletal cannonballs.
Hence, Liu Ming started a massacre, like a wolf meeting sheep.
Liu Ming killed the Darkness Camp’s members on their campground, making the Darkness Camp’s senior executives unable to tolerate it any longer.
Soon, an Undead General—clad in heavy armor, holding a shield in one hand and a black spear in the other—leaped off the city wall and stood in front of Liu Ming to stop him from advancing.
After the Undead General saw Liu Ming’s level, the Soul Fire in his eyes flickered, and he spoke with disdain. “It turns out this is all the strength you have. It seems like the credit will belong to me.”
Just like how players couldn’t see any other data other than an NPC’s or monster’s level and Health Points, NPCs and monsters could only roughly judge a player’s level.
This was also the reason why the Undead General thought that Liu Ming was only at a certain level of competency. He thought that Liu Ming was only strong because he had used a powerful consumable and was not actually that formidable!
