Chapter 24 Was it Love at First Sight?
Song Liangjiang let go of Chu Jingmo’s arm and was about to sit up straight when he wound his arm around her. She slid into his arms and they looked at the menu together.
“We didn’t plan to get married,” Chu Jingmo replied vaguely. As for what he meant, it depended on everyone’s guess.
They didn’t plan to get married, so they didn’t take marriage seriously.
It was true that they hadn’t planned to get married, but no one could resist true love. That was another way to put it.
Song Liangjiang was forced to lean against his chest as he selected a few more dishes. She kicked the back of Chu Jingmo’s calf a few times, but the man’s expression did not falter. It was obvious that not only was he shameless, but his skin was also thick.
After ordering, Chu Jingmo let go of her. Luo Fuyang took the initiative to bring up the topic of their childhood. This was not something that Song Liangjiang could participate in.
Song Liangjiang had just picked up her phone as Chu Jingmo talked to Luo Fuyang. But he snatched her phone away and placed it on the table without looking at her.
This behavior was just like a parent bringing a kid to a relative’s house as a guest. She was bored and wanted to use her phone, but her dad had confiscated her phone and said that it was impolite to do so!
The person opposite him naturally noticed his natural action. Luo Fuyang’s voice unconsciously faltered.
“Liangjiang, are you bored because we are talking about the past?” Luo Fuyang asked, even though she knew the answer. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine. Continue chatting. I can listen and see if what he told me about his childhood was a lie or not.” Song Liangjiang sounded extremely magnanimous as she glanced at Luo Fuyang with a faint smile.
That woman’s family must own a tea place. She had too much leisure time on her hands indeed.
Luo Fuyang’s expression changed visibly. She picked up her cup and drank from it to hide her emotions.
Didn’t Song Liangjiang just hint that Chu Jingmo had even shared his childhood memories with her?
When would they share such boring stuff? It had to be during their honeymoon.
The table fell silent for a moment. It was only when the waiter served the food that the honey-like awkwardness was broken.
Song Liangjiang didn’t feel embarrassed at all. She continued to smile sweetly at Chu Jingmo as if she had deep affection for him.
In the next hour, Luo Fuyang rarely took the initiative to start a conversation, but Song Liangjiang was up to no good. She sweetly asked Chu Jingmo to feed her and make him act intimately. She wanted to disgust everyone with this meal.
Halfway through the meal, Luo Fuyang finally couldn’t stand it anymore and left first.
Song Liangjiang watched Luo Fuyang leave and retreated from Chu Jingmo with a snort. “Your family must be running a high tea business in some vacation destination. Or perhaps a white lotus is blooming in a desert in Africa.”
He can meet his secret admirers everywhere indeed.
Xie Yu collapsed on the table and laughed uncontrollably for a long time.
Chu Jingmo slowly put down his chopsticks. “You want me to feed you?”
Song Liangjiang quietly moved further away. When she felt that the distance wasn’t enough, she inched away more.
“You have a feud with Fuyang?” Xie Yu saved Song Liangjiang and finally stopped laughing.
Not exactly a feud, but we do have a grudge, she thought to herself.
But looking at the two childhood friends of Luo Fuyang in front of her, Song Liangjiang felt the truth seemed to be sowing discord between them, especially someone like Chu Jingmo.
“No, it’s inevitable for peers to be jealous of each other.” Song Liangjiang hurriedly took a few bites. “I’m done. Take your time.”
With that, she grabbed a bun before she scuttled off
“You care about her a lot?” Now Chu Jingmo looked at Xie Yu. This wasn’t the first time.
“Do you believe in love at first sight?” Xie Yu watched until Song Liangjiang had completely disappeared from sight before turning back to look at Chu Jingmo. “But I won’t do anything before you get a divorce. Don’t worry about that.”
Chu Jingmo’s face darkened. “I remember telling you that Song Liangjiang gave birth to my son.” “I don’t mind.”
“Are you serious?” Chu Jingmo looked at his friend, his emotions unreadable.
“Old Chu, although I don’t know what happened between the two of you in the past, you definitely didn’t get married because of love. Perhaps that child was also-an accident?”
“She doesn’t belong in the same world as us.”
“I can go to her world.”
“Xie Yu!” Chu Jingmo bellowed in a deep voice, clearly displeased.
But Xie Yu wasn’t afraid of him. “But just like I promised, I won’t do anything until you get a divorce. But you will get a divorce, right?”
Chu Jingmo looked at his good friend and knew that he was not joking.
“Are you blind?”
Song Liangjiang was a heartless woman. What good would it do to be in love with her?
Xie Yu chuckled. “Doesn’t love blind people?”
Chu Jingmo stood up and took his coat. “Song Liangjiang only has Harmonious Flowing Stream and Goblets in her heart. You should give up.”
Chu Jingmo left after saying that. Xie Yu watched as he strode away swiftly and smiled mysteriously.
When Song Liangjiang came out of the shower, she saw Chu Jingmo sitting on her bed. She cried out and reflexively whirled around and ran back to the bathroom.
“Chu Jingmo!” Song Liangjiang’s heart was pounding. She suspected that he did it on purpose!
“How dare you yell at me? You’re getting bolder.” Chu Jingmo flipped through her sketches and then looked at the woman leaning against the bathroom door.
“You came to a girl’s room in the middle of the night. It’s good enough that I didn’t call you a hooligan.” Song Liangjiang hid in the bathroom and glared at the man who was still sitting on her bed.
“Girl?” Chu Jingmo had some objections to this word.
Song Liangjiang was stunned for a moment. She suddenly thought of the two rascals at home and felt guilty. However, she couldn’t show it.
“What, I’m no longer a girl at twenty-three?”
Chu Jingmo put down her sketches and snorted meaningfully.
“Come here.”
“Get out.” Song Liangjiang insisted.
“Do you want to take a look at the photos of Harmonious Flowing Stream and Goblets?”
“Really?” She took a step forward, then thought of something before she stepped back again. “Send them to my phone.”
“It’s fine if you don’t want to look,” Chu Jingmo replied. He rose and tidied his shirt calmly before turning.
“Wait!” Song Liangjiang looked down at the towel on her body and quickly ran to the bed to get her pajamas. She disappeared into the bathroom like smoke. “Give me a minute. I’ll be done soon. Don’t leave!”
Chu Jingmo only caught a glimpse of a white shadow flash past his eyes. Those fair and slender legs entered his vision without warning and quickly left.
Chu Jingmo subconsciously tugged at his tie and suppressed the inappropriate illusion in his mind.
However, some memories that had long been dormant began to stir unconsciously. It was just that he hadn’t realized it yet.
Song Liangjiang changed into her pajamas as quickly as possible and ran out. When she reached Chu Jingmo, her eyes were bright. “Photos. Show them to me.”
Chu Jingmo looked at the woman who usually wanted to stay away from him, but now, because of some photos, she was so close to him.
Her freshly washed hair was still dripping water, and her face was still flushed from the hot shower. What did Xie Yu say earlier on?
Love at first sight…
