Chapter 27 How Does It Feel Like to Love Someone?
“Let go of me.” Song Liangjiang’s neck hurt from his grip. She suspected that this man was taking revenge.
“One day, I’ll break your monkey legs. Let’s see how you escape.” Chu Jingmo released her as he threatened.
Song Liangjiang hurriedly hid behind the door and rubbed the back of her neck. That man wanted to kill her!
“What’s that?” Chu Jingmo smelled a strange scent and saw the ball in her hand.
“Someone gave it to me. Don’t touch it.” Song Liangjiang immediately stuffed the wooden ball into her bag. She looked like a kid who had gotten a fun toy and was especially afraid of it being snatched away by other bullies.
Chu Jingmo was that little bully.
She put her things away and eyed Chu Jingmo. “Why are you here?”
After asking, Song Liangjiang saw dozens of missed calls from Li Chuan.
“Executive Assistant Li, what’s the matter?” There were so many missed calls that her phone’s battery was almost dead.
As Li Chuan drove, he deliberated and replied, “After all, we’re overseas. Mrs. Chu, you’re not familiar with the local language. It’s best not to wander around. Otherwise, President Chu will be worried.”
“I’m worried about her?”
“He’s worried about me?”
They looked at each other, their eyes glinting with mutual disdain.
Li Chuan smiled and kept mum as he drove.
Song Liangjiang turned her head to look out of the window. She had to stay away from this man after the divorce, or she would die young.
“Who did you say you encountered just now?” Chu Jingmo knew that Mr. Yang was not around today, but Song Liangjiang was at the manor for a few hours. It was strange to leave a guest alone at home without the owner, unless there was someone else in the family who could make the decision.
“A man who looks better than an immortal. And there’s actually a garden in Mr Yang’s backyard. It feels different from his usual style. It should be designed by that man.” Song Liangjiang decided not to stoop to his level.
Chu Jingmo frowned slightly at Song Liangjiang’s words. He looked at her appraisingly. “You said that he allowed you to go to the backyard of the manor?”
His men had tried to enter the place many times but everyone had failed. Apart from the fact that it was heavily guarded, there was another important reason. The place had used the ancient Eight Trigrams Array. It was like a maze. Those who didn’t understand would never get out.
But Song Liangjiang had entered so easily?
Song Liangjiang nodded. “I just walked in after a few turns. Is that some mysterious place?”
After saying that, she sensed that the way Chu Jingmo looked at her was a little strange. She silently backed away. “You can’t blame me for you being unpopular. If you want to blame someone, blame that mouth of yours, okay?”
“You should really thank the gods for being able to survive until now. They were blind to the extent that they forgot to take you away every time.” Chu Jingmo sneered. If Mr. Yang really wanted to harm Song Liangjiang, she would have been killed since she had approached him willingly.
Song Liangjiang moved her lips and clenched her fists. She took a deep breath. She shouldn’t argue with a mad man.
The two of them returned to the hotel. In the hotel lobby, a group of women were holding banners and other things. In view of her experience of being knocked down twice, Song Liangjiang quickly hid behind Chu Jingmo.
Chu Jingmo glanced at the hand holding his arm from the corner of his eye. “Good for
you.”
Song Liangjiang hid behind him and she curled her lips slightly. “Next time, I should tie a loudspeaker around Xie Yu. Every time I’m within a hundred meters away from him, I should yell that he’s coming to his fans. This way, I can run faster.”
“That’s probably the only logical thing I’ve heard you say since we met.”
The staff hurriedly walked to Chu Jingmo. “Someone leaked Mr. Xie’s whereabouts, so his fans came to the hotel. Mr. Xie is still filming and hasn’t returned yet.”
Song Liangjiang tiptoed and scanned the crowd. “How does it feel to like someone who’s not related to you by blood so desperately?”
The way to the elevator was blocked. The employees were trying to evacuate the crowd, but it wasn’t going well. “I don’t know.”
“People like you won’t know either,” Song Liangjiang muttered to herself. She really didn’t expect Chu Jingmo to know. After all, he probably loved himself the most.
“You do?”
The two of them were bickering over such a meaningless topic as if one of them would win if he or she knew a little more than the other party.
“I don’t know.” Her expression changed immediately.
“Ahhh, Xie Yu, Xie Yu…”
The fans at the other side became suddenly excited. A group of people swarmed forward, all because of the man who had appeared in front of the hotel.
Before Song Liangjiang could be touched by anyone, she was pulled away by Chu Jingmo to avoid being knocked down again.
Song Liangjiang looked up at the man in front of her. None of the girls running past him seemed to be able to touch him at all, but he knew how strong these people were.
After all the women were gone, Chu Jingmo turned around and walked towards the elevator.
However, after taking a few steps, he turned around and saw Song Liangjiang in a daze. “Why aren’t you coming?”
Song Liangjiang suddenly came back to her senses. “Can’t we just watch them?”
This person was really going to die alone!
Song Liangjiang puffed up her cheeks and followed. “I’ll…”
Before she could finish, she was knocked forward by a fan. Chu Jingmo quickly grabbed her and whirled her around to avoid the group of people.
Xie Yu was still being pushed as his entourage of assistants and security guards flanked him. He couldn’t run fast even if he wanted to.
When Xie Yu finally entered the elevator, the fans were still surrounding the lobby.
Chu Jingmo took the stairs to the second floor with Song Liangjiang before they entered the elevator.
Song Liangjiang clutched her chest and panted. “This love is too scary.”
“So stay away from him. Otherwise, these people will crush you with a kick each.” Chu Jingmo looked at the woman who was still panting.
She was about to retort when she suddenly touched her shoulder. “Where’s my bag?”
Song Liangjiang reckoned that it must have fallen off when someone bumped into her. She had to go back to find her bag.
By the time they returned to the lobby, most of the fans had dispersed. Before she could go to the front desk for help, she saw Luo Fuyang holding her bag. Luo Fuyang noticed Song Liangjiang and walked over to hand over the bag. “I felt that it looked familiar so I wanted to bring it up for you.”
Song Liangjiang took her bag and rummaged through the contents. She was relieved to find that nothing was missing.
“Jingmo, when do you plan to return? I’m almost done with my matters here. Why don’t we fly back together?”
“Stop, where are your manners?” Chu Jingmo stopped the girl who was about to leave.
