Mr. Qi, Your Cover At Risk - Chapter 26
Chapter 26 Study Hard
“Sister Qi, blink twice if you’re being threatened.” Wen Yu looked like he had seen a ghost when he heard the commotion.
“Fatty, what you said is wrong. Who in their right mind would want to threaten Jingi?”
Xiao Yao recalled what had happened in the past few days. With her bad temper, no one would dare threaten her.
Wen Yu nodded in understanding. That was right, something must have happened to Jinqi.
Lu Jinqi ignored them and sat in her seat, bored.
Cheng Xin saw her like this the moment she walked in, and the smile on her face softened.
“Alright, let’s start the class.”
During this class, Cheng Xin’s gaze would occasionally fall on Lu Jinqi.
She was very satisfied when she saw that she was really paying attention. How could the people sitting at the side not feel the gaze from the podium? They suddenly understood what was going on.
The mystery had been solved. Cheng Xin was the person who changed Jinqi.
Thinking of this, he furrowed his brows. ‘Should I follow her and study hard as well?’.
“Jinqi, did Cheng look for you?” Once the class ended, Xiao Yao voiced out his concerns. The two people in the front row also turned around, they looked like they were ready for some gossip. Lu Jinqi’s eyes were unreadable. She stared at him quietly, her red lips slightly tilted.
“What do you think?”
Xiao Yao subconsciously stepped back, then slammed the table. “I don’t know!”
Wen Yu and Xie Shuyao thought that he would say something, but in the end, it ended, just like that. Why did he make such a big commotion then?
The two of them rolled their eyes at him at the same time.
Seeing this, Lu Jinqi’s exquisite face relaxed. The corners of her mouth curled into a teasing smile.
“Xiao Yao, you dare be the school bully?” Xiao Yao heard her teasing, so he scratched his head. Then, he shamelessly said, “With you around, how could the school bully be me?”
That was right. Ever since Lu Jinqi became famous, the school bully of Minsong had changed to someone else.
The people from the other schools heard that Minsong had a new school bully who was extremely good-looking. Every day, they would secretly think of ways to sneak in and see him in person.
Lu Jinqi raised her eyebrows. “You’re really…”
“Really what?” Xiao Yao was confused. He looked at her with a burning gaze, waiting for her to continue.
In the end, Lu Jinqi had no intention of finishing her sentence. She half-closed her eyes and her hands knocked on the table repeatedly.
‘No, why did she have to be like this? Wasn’t she trying to bait me?!’
Xiao Yao stared at her with resentment.
Xie Shuyao burst into laughter when she saw the scene unfold.
“Xiao Yao, you look like an obedient little wife.”
“Xie Shuyao,” Xiao Yao’s face darkened when he was insulted.
“Master Jing, do you know what happened on Weibo?” Qi Ye and Xie Lingchuan rushed over as soon as they finished their work.
Si Jingyun sat lazily on the sofa. He nodded when he heard this.
“Mr Xu called me.”
Qi Ye nodded. It made sense. Master Jing must have known about this the moment it surfaced.
non
“What did Mr Xu say?” Xie Lingchuan took a sip of tea and asked.
Si Jingyun raised his eyelids and said in a calm tone, “He mentioned that the research institute said hacker J strengthened their firewall today. He asked me to find someone to test it out for him.”
Qi Ye and Si Jingyun looked at each other. Who exactly was this J person?
“Qi Ye, last time Master Jing asked you to find this J person. How’s progress?” Qi Ye looked at the person standing to the side and asked.
When this was mentioned, Qii Ye felt a little ashamed. It had been so long, but he had gained little to no information at all.
He glanced at Si Jingyun’s expression and said awkwardly, “I couldn’t find him. No one took the order when I placed it in the M.K. website.”
Qi Ye frowned. “They didn’t pick it up even though it was worth a lot of money?” Qi Ye nodded. “That’s right. The most challenging thing is that I can’t jail break into J’s computerbecause J’s IP address is all virtual.”
It seemed like this J person was really a big shot. Xie Lingchuan put down his cup. Thinking about what had happened today, his tone filled with worry.
“Master Jing, do you think this J person is kind?”
Si Jingyun’s eyes were dismissive, and his tone was indifferent. “Currently, it seems that J doesn’t have any ill intentions. A person who puts their nation’s research institute at the forefront can’t be that bad.”
“Master Jing is right. Even though J’s hacking skills are very strong, from this incident, we can see that J is a patriotic person,” Qi Ye echoed.
Hearing Si Jingyun’s words, Xie Lingchuan’s expression relaxed. Master Jing was right. A person who places their nations research institute at the top could not that bad.
On the school’s side, Lu Jinqi logged into the M.K. website, she saw a group of people bustling about, and the content of their chat was rapidly refreshing.
Her slender fingers were casually swiping, and suddenly, her hand paused.
She looked down and saw the two words Night Alliance on the screen. She raised her eyebrows slightly and opened up the chat. She did not expect that there would be such an organization in the 21st century.
Night Alliance was an international mercenary trading platform. All kinds of things could be traded, and at the same time, orders could be placed there. There would be people who would take the orders to give it to others to complete it.
Suddenly, a text message came into her phone.
Lu Jinqi opened it and saw that it was from Netherworld. The content was simple, it had one sentence attached with one URL.
[I saw that you were online and knew that you would be interested. The URL has been sent to you.]
Lu Jinqi’s lips curled into a smile as she replied calmly.
[Thank you.)
She clicked on the website and saw the latest list on the homepage. She was looking for someone with superb medical skills and the reward was 100 million dollars.
Medical Skills? Lu Jinqi raised her eyebrows and accepted it without hesitation.
She had learned many things in her life. Coincidentally, she knew that this medicine was really good.
“What? You want to take leave again?” Cheng Xin pinched the space between her eyebrows and looked at her in disbelief.
Jinqi had just promised her that she would study hard, yet this student wanted to take another leave in less than two hours.
Lu Jinqi touched the back of her neck. “Yes, I have something to do.”
Cheng Xin said angrily, “Do you know that the monthly exams are coming up soon? How can you do this?”
Lu Jinqi did not say anything except stare back.
Faced with her gaze, Cheng Xin could not bear to say anything too harsh. In the end, she gave up and waved her hand. “I approve, but I have a request. Don’t sleep during the next exam.” Hearing this, Lu Jinqi’s beautiful eyes sparkled. The corners of her lips curled up as she said nonchalantly.
“Teacher Cheng, you’re making things difficult for me.”
Cheng Xin’s brows twitched. “Otherwise, you’ll have to go back to class obediently.”
Lu Jinqi smiled lightly, her entire body sighed in defeat.
“Alright, I’ll try my best.”
After getting the answer she wanted, Cheng Xin let her go. “Alright, go and come back as soon as you can.”
Lu Jinqi smiled faintly and turned to leave.
Immediately after, another sentence came from behind. “Don’t do it again.” In the classroom, three people were eagerly waiting for Lu Jinqi’s arrival. In the end, she never came back. Xie Shuyao could not help but to call the absent student, “Qiqi, where did you go?”
At that moment, Lu Jinqi was already on the way to the airport. She sat in the car, her cold eyes looked dazed as she looked out the window.
“I’m taking a leave. I have something to do.”
“Then when are you coming back?” Xie Shuyao was smart enough not to ask what she was going to do. Instead, she was concerned about when she was coming back.
Lu Jinqi’s fair arm casually leaned against the car window. “About a week.”
After hanging up, Xie Shuyao told Xiao Yao and the rest about Lu Jinqi’s leave.
Xiao Yao raised his eyebrows. “Jinqi said to study hard, but now she’s taken a week’s leave. Her methods are really wild I tell you!”
