Fights between top-class assassins were extremely vicious, and this was even more so for Cross and Fox. They had the ability of Bullet Time and could also shoot lethal shots from bizarre angles.
The two of them both understood this. Fox was in the role of the hunted, and as long as she couldn’t throw off Cross, she was in an extremely passive position and would find it difficult to counter. Although Cross didn’t need to drive, his son was in the enemy’s hand, and he was worried about hurting him in the crossfire.
Seeing the delivery truck getting closer and closer in the rearview mirror, Fox resolved herself, striking the steering wheel and driving the Dodge Viper from the express lane and into the lane of the oncoming traffic.
Fox constantly maneuvered the steering wheel, dodging the cars driving toward her. This scared Wesley out of his wits. The oncoming car light dazzled and dizzied him while the shrill horns deafened his ears. This was a shock that he had never experienced in his life.
At these speeds, the slightest mistake would mean death.
Meanwhile, the delivery truck was in hot pursuit, also traveling against the flow of traffic and perfectly avoiding all the oncoming cars as it moved here and there. Luo Su rocked his body to the heavy metal music, his mouth even grunting along to the music. BABY’s divine driving skills made everything easy for him, and when he gripped the steering wheel, he felt like the world was his for the taking.
Cross had a very high level of tolerance, and when he realized that Luo Su was a super driver, he raised his gun and began to fire. He quickly managed to hit the rear wheel of the sports car, causing its speed to drop.
“Oh, my God! He’s catching up! We’re dead!” Wesley shrieked. He felt like he was someone who had been knocked out while buying some soap and woke up, surrounded by a dozen muscular men.
“Quiet!”
As Wesley looked on in confusion, Fox took her gun and shattered the windshield. Giving the steering wheel to Wesley, she climbed out of the car and turned her body around.
Fox held a gun in each hand, one foot hooked to the steering wheel and the other to the window frame, her back resting against the hood. In this position, she began to fire on the delivery truck.
Fox’s favorite gun was a modified Browning M1911. The gun had the images of an orchid, and a lion imprinted on it, and the grip was made of ivory. It also had a silencer on the muzzle and an extended magazine. The 11.5mm-diameter bullets packed a huge punch, even greater than that of most submachine guns. Even if it didn’t heat a lethal spot, the bullets would still be fatal.
Fox’s M1911 was both powerful and beautiful, one of the finest handguns ever made.
Her other hand held a submachine gun, and the firepower of these guns instantly suppressed Cross.
“Shut your mouth and focus on driving!”
“I’ve been driving this entire time!”
Cross raised his gun and fired back, and Luo Su stopped messing around. Whenever he sensed danger approaching, he would move the steering wheel, and the delivery truck would move like an agile snake and weave through the traffic while still maintaining speed. It was getting closer and closer to the Dodge Viper.
Seeing that they were about to catch up, Cross couldn’t help but smile. For the Fraternity to want to take away, his son was utterly shameless. But at this moment, he heard police sirens blaring from both sides. Looking around, Cross saw that more than ten police cars were after them.
Although these police cars were quickly thrown off, only able to eat Luo Su’s tailpipe exhaust, Cross was keenly aware that a blockade must have been set up ahead. Worse, there might even be an armored car.
“Jesus, the police have gotten really efficient! They’ve never been this fast before!” Cross grumbled.
Luo Su rolled his eyes. As a former police officer, he had nothing to say.
In the red sports car, Fox had given up on counterattacking for lack of ammo. Crawling back into the car, she pushed aside the straight-faced Wesley and drove back into the proper lane of traffic, attempting to mix in with the police cars.
Luo Su followed her back into the proper lane. With practiced gear shifting, he managed to catch up a little with each turn of the corner. This range was enough for Cross to hit with 100% accuracy, but at this moment, a police helicopter appeared in the sky and shone its beams straight at the delivery truck.
Luo Su frowned. “Something’s not right! It seems to me that the police are targeting us?!”
Cross didn’t raise his head and directly answered, “It must be Sloan. He’s made connections with politicians, so he must have some men in the police.”
“What do we do? Continue the pursuit?”
Cross emotionlessly said, “Continue!”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three bullets were fired, and time seemed to slow. The whorled bullets curved through the air and accurately struck the three remaining wheels.
This strike to the wheels immediately caused them to be blown off, leaving the red sports car with only the rims, but the car, while slower, continued to press forward.
Luo Su pressed the gas pedal to the bottom, ah, but the gas pedal was already down as far as it could go, and the delivery truck slammed into the Dodge Viper’s rear.
Bang! Bang!
Fox turned around and fired two shots. Luo Su had to lower his head to avoid them, and the delivery truck had to slow down and drawback.
Luo Su grumbled, “What are you doing? Cover me!”
Cross reluctantly glanced at the red sports car. “There are snipers nearby, assassins from the Fraternity! We’re leaving!”
Upon hearing this, Luo Su immediately crouched down, not even asking where the snipers were. Cross was a specialist in this field, and it wasn’t his place to ask.
From a distance, Luo Su could see a line of police cars forming a blockade, two black armored cars lurking in the back like giant beasts, and he knew that they wouldn’t be catching Wesley today. Even if they did get him back, the two didn’t have enough weapons to successfully retreat. There was also the helicopter in the air. It could just throw down a few stun grenades to end things for the pair.
Luo Su pulled hard on the steering wheel, and the delivery truck swung around, driving into the opposite lane and away.
Fox, seeing that Cross had finally given up the chase through the rearview mirror, sighed in relief and slammed on the brakes.
The Dodge Viper’s brakes…were nothing to write home about. No one had ever been able to successfully bring this car traveling at high speeds to a sudden stop. In the end, the red sports car slammed into the blockade of police cars. As for the two rows of spike strips in front of the blockade, they were naturally useless against the metal rims of the sports car.
Four police officers in SWAT gear rushed up, two of them aiming guns at Fox and Wesley while two of them escorted them to the armored car. Fox was entirely cooperative, and the SWAT didn’t make trouble for her. Wesley, in contrast, was seized by the arms and even handcuffed.
In the armored car, Fox took her M1911 from a slim black SWAT officer and sighed as she seated herself. Tonight’s encounter had not gone very smoothly.
The black SWAT officer was a core member of the Fraternity, ‘Gunsmith.’ He ignored the strange look on Wesley’s face and directly asked, “Fox, you almost failed. What happened?”
Fox couldn’t bear to turn her head, massaging her forehead as she spoke, “Cross managed to get some formidable driver. I’ve never seen such abnormal driving skills before…”
“Very well. You can report this matter to Sloan yourself. Let’s first bring Wesley back.”
On the other side, Luo Su had thrown off the police cars, but the helicopter continued to pursue them like a shadow. He drove the delivery truck into downtown, and after parking it, he and Cross vanished into the crowd.
The two took a taxi to and took a roundabout route to a remote garage where Cross had a sedan. With Luo Su driving, they returned to the factory.
This time, Luo Su drove a lot slower. ‘Character Card: BABY’ had already run out. Until he pulled the card again, he would find it very difficult to drive at high speeds against traffic.
But that was fine. The casual bits of experience cast aside by the godlike driver, BABY was enough for Luo Su to fake being a veteran driver.

This was a permanent skill, not a one-time skill.
[Skill: Driving Proficiency (Still a distance from driving masters and gods, but in the eyes of a novice, you’re already an unreachable veteran driver)]
