Chapter 8
“There’s nothing wrong with him.”
It was the doctor’s examination result. He nodded his head with the sincerity that he was right. Because his words were the truth.
‘There’s nothing wrong with my brain.’
It was only that I entered this body.
But it seemed like someone wasn’t satisfied with the examination results.
“Then why can’t he remember anything?”
A dangerous voice. Now I knew his name.
‘Jin Huikyung.’1
He was Jin Taekyung’s oldest brother and the patriarch of the family, Jin Huikyung. He really wasn’t my father.
‘That yangban, he even looked like he was going to cry earlier.’
But now like clockwork, he had a mask of dignity.
The doctor, who didn’t do anything wrong, answered.
“Even though that is my result, occasionally I might be wrong…”
“It’s fine. You can leave.”
The doctor left with a hurt expression and Jin Huikyung, as if were waiting, came to my side. His voice was overflowing with affection and worry.
“You really don’t remember anything?”
“Yes.”
“Nothing?”
I quietly nodded my head up and down. I already calculated how I would act.
‘I’ll just keep going like this.’
Like a patient with amnesia in a drama. There was no way I could be even more comfortable in this kind of situation. I didn’t need to put in effort to match the situation in the game, and I didn’t need to gain any more information.
I just needed to lay in bed and say I didn’t know anything and just blink my eyes and the situation would just keep going naturally. Just like right now.
“Do you remember the words you just said a minute ago?”
“Which words?”
Thinking I lost my memory, Jin Huikyung told me some basic information and that was when I found out who he was.
“What is my name?”
“Jin Huikyung. Taiyuan’s Jin family’s patriarch.”
“My age?”
“35.”
Geez, to think he was in his thirty’s with that face. And on top of that, he was even a bachelor who wasn’t even married yet.
“Our parents?”
“Our father is touring the central area. Our mother passed away ten years ago.”
“Good job. And your second hyung?”
“Jin’s Heavenly Sword, Jin Mukyung. Twenty five. He’s currently a student at Cheon Mu Academy.”
I didn’t know where Cheon Mu Academy was. I was just repeating what I was told like a parrot. I answered like a machine and Jin Huikyung nodded his head at my words.
“Jin’s Heavenly Sword? Did I say that too?”
No. I heard that from the driver.
Jin Huikyung and I looked at each other at the same time, and I hit my head.
“Ah, my head! My head hurts!”
“Aigoo, youngest!”
If it was at this level, it was a cheat key.
—
“It’s simply bruises, so even at the maximum, the swelling and bruises should disappear in three days.”
The doctor spoke and left the infirmary. A servant who looked easy-tempered stood waiting at the entrance.
“I am here to lead master-nim to his room.”
The servant walked ahead of me. As if he was already aware of the fact that I lost my memory, he also explained to me what building was what and quietly pointed out who was who when we saw them.
‘A guide, an errand person, an encyclopedia.’
I could see what Jin Huikyung’s goal was when he sent the servant.
He wanted to look after me, even though he was busy himself.
“We are here.”
The building we stopped at was two stories and was made of wood.
Usually you would see these kinds of buildings in China. It was a very traditional looking building.
“Wow.”
It was really large. It was at the level that my mouth dropped open automatically as soon as the servant opened the doors.
“The 2nd floor is the bedroom. There are bells placed all over the interior, so if there’s anything you need, please feel free to ring them.”
After the servant left, I came back to my senses and looked around the front. The 1st floor alone looked like it was over 100 pyeong2.
Compared to my lonely goshiwon, which was only 2 pyeong, it was comparable to an Olympic stadium.
‘This is the first time I’ve been jealous of an NPC.’
On the first floor, there were 6 rooms. My interest skyrocketed.
‘I wonder what’s in there.’
Treasures? Mugong manuals? Or amazing items?
It didn’t matter what it was. I opened the cloest room.
‘Whoa.’
I opened the door and an exclamation came out of my mouth. It wasn’t like there was a florescent lamp in the room but it was bright in all directions. There were shelves all along the walls, and all along the shelves were filled with robes. Even looking there was a tremendous amount.
Although it wasn’t the sort of items I was looking for.
‘This guy has a lot of clothes.’
Club, no it was typical of a guy who went to brothels. I clicked my tongue and closed the door. And immediately headed towards the second room. I opened the door.
“It’s clothes again?”
I underestimated Jin Taekyung. If it was by this era’s standards, wouldn’t he be considered a fashion people? I slowly felt anxiety rising up and pushed it down, as I went to the third room.
Gulp.
“… This shopping addicted bastard.”
Wow, how could a person like this exist? Looking at the three rooms which were filled with clothes, it felt like a sweet potato was stuck in my throat.
‘This maybe…’
My anxiety rose and I felt my body squeeze. With heavy steps, I walked to the last room. Unlike the other rooms, it looked like it wasn’t used and I grabbed the rusted handle and slowly opened the door.
Squeak.
The sound of the creaking door and I finally saw the inside of the room.
There was a small window and a ray of light. Dust that rose every time I took a step. And from what I could see, numerous books.
“I found it.”
Without me knowing, I laughed.
—
There were a total of five books. I picked up the closest book to me. I wiped the dust off the book and read the words on the outer cover.
The system was comfortable because of this. Because it translated the words, I could read the alien-like words like a native.
“Three Footwork of Warfare?”
Ring.
[Three Footwork of Warfare]

Would you like to learn this Mugong? (3/10)
This was it!
With a racing heart, I read the rest of the system window.
Three Footwork of Warfare. A very basic third-rate footwork. Right. It was the type of scroll you would see in novels.
My first goal was to become familiar with Mugong.
‘It looks like I can do Mugong training with the system as well.’
And for the first time, since coming to the Jin residence, my feelings changed after receiving the Qi Sense quest.
“What a relief.”
I was afraid that like the main character in a novel or like the NPCs, I would have to start from the very beginning but it was just me overthinking.
‘A sucky game is still just a game.’
If like Qi Sense, I could learn Mugong through the system, rapid growth was a piece of cake. I was about to say accept… but–
Would you like to learn this Mugong? (3/10)
The numbers caught my attention. The current Mugong that I knew was three. The Jin Family Footwork Technique, Jin Family Spear Technique, and Jin Family Cultivation Technique.
Don’t tell me.
‘The Mugong I can learn is restricted?’
If my guess was correct, then it wasn’t the time to learn [Three Footwork of Warfare]. I had to survive until I could log out, and I needed to learn higher-level techniques in order to raise my level and fame quickly.
But thankfully, in this room there were at least a few hundred Mugong manuals.
“Great. Great.”
The number of Mugong I could learn was seven. It was only a matter of time before I logged out if I chose the best techniques.
With a proud smile, I picked up the next book.
Ring.
[The Great King of Night]

Restrictions: None
Description: It’s even better if you look at the illustrations, while reading it.
“…”
—
Today the work was fierce as well. Since the morning and now till midnight, he hasn’t left the room. It was already the second month since he started working hard.
“You’ve worked hard.”
It was the words of Hui Peng after a day’s work.
Jin Huikyung stood up, his body stiff, and left the room. It was because the owner of this place, his father and not Jin Huikyung, suddenly disappeared.
He was residing in the center of the Jin residence and needed to do a lot of work.
“It’s cold out today.”
Like a painting, Hui Peng put the fur robe around Jin Huikyung’s shoulder. Jin Huikyung laughed with a tired face.
“Thank you. If it wasn’t for you, I would probably already be sick in bed.”
“What can you do. Even if it’s me, I have to at least play the role of the lady of the house.”
“Stop. It’s already looking like I’ll become an old man.”
Jin Huikyung rubbed his tired eyes. Even though he was in his mid-thirties, he was still a bachelor. With the excuse of he was young, he pushed it off and pushed it off and now already a decade had past.
‘Eventually I’ll need to marry. At least for the family.’
If someone were to ask him if he’s ever been in love, the answer would be no.
But Jin Huikyung was never an immature child. He knew he was eventually going to become the head of the family and thought that a political marriage was a cheap sacrifice to make.
“The stars are bright. We don’t even need the torches.”
Hui Peng changed the subject, sensing the atmosphere. Jin Huikyung shook his face back and forth. Eventually, they saw the residence.
“Hmm?”
“What’s the matter?”
Hui Peng followed the direction of Jin Huikyung’s gaze and tilted his head. From not too far away, they could see a pinprick of light.
“Isn’t that the third master’s residence?”
“It is. Even though it’s late, his lights are still on.”
Jin Huikyung strode forward. Hui Peng followed, having no choice.
“Lord. Let’s just see him next time. It’s obvious he’s pretending to have lost his memory and is probably just drinking alcohol.”
“Shh.”
The two people entered. The light was coming from the old room all the way to the left. And you could hear the sound of someone moving.
– I judged the third master too quickly. It looks like he has even called a woman over. Listen to the sounds. I’ll bet it on my salary this month.
Hui Peng would shut his mouth. Because it was the sound of skills.
– Hui Peng.
– Yes?
– Shut up.
Quietly, Jin Huikyung walked closer to the door. He looked into the room through the opening of the door.
With a hurt expression, Hui Peng followed.
– I didn’t see you like that but your Lord’s hobby are… huk.
The next moment, Hui Peng’s mouth dropped open. What did he just see just now?
Maybe it’s because his body felt weak that he was seeing things? He rubbed his eyes and looked inside again.
“This time walk two steps in a diagonal line and…”
It was a young man with a sturdy build. He was muttering under his breath and moving his body. And on top of the dusty floor, numerous footprints could be seen.
Slide. Slip.
“FUCK, fuck this damn Mugong!”
It was the third master. That horrible personality and foul mouth. It was really the third master, Jin Taekyung.
The person who hadn’t trained since he was 12 years old, was sweating profusely in a dusty room, was actually awake past midnight and unbelievably was training!
– Hui Peng.
In a daze, Hui Peng came back to his senses.
– Yes, yes?
Jin Huikyung with sparkling eyes was looking inside the room. Jin Taekyung, having fallen to the floor with his head faced towards the ceiling, cursed, stood up again and continued to practice foot techniques.
– Like you promised, it looks like you won’t have a salary this month.
Something I forgot to mention in the earlier chapters, but if people think it’s weird that the three siblings have the same ‘Kyung’ in their name–it’s actually very common when parents name their children, i.e. a generational name. So it’s basically used to indicate that certain family members are part of a certain generation. Another example would be, my sister and I share “Soo” as a generational name. It’s not required but very common.
About 3558 square feet
I wasn’t sure what this meant ‘야설’ but I think it’s a shortened word for ‘야한 소설’?
