“Whatever it is, it’s nothing good,” muttered Luo Enen.
“Come on. Let’s go back.” Jun Lansheng’s voice was filled with disappointment. “I wonder if we can come in first with the stuff we have.”
“It’s okay. we can snatch more things on our way back,” replied Gu Fenghua nonchalantly.
Luo Enen and Jun Lansheng’s eyes glinted the moment they heard her. She was right. Why did they not think of this? It did not hurt to snatch more things from other students on their way back.
“We will definitely come in first!” Luo Enen and Jun Lansheng clenched their fists with a look of excitement.
Gu Fenghua and her friends snatched more things on their way back. On their way back, they stirred utter chaos. People who tried to attack them ended up cleaned out. Every single token and resource they possessed were taken.
If Gu Fenghua and her friends attacked anyone, they merely took their tokens, so Luo Enen felt that they were being very kind.
Gu Fenghua typically stood by and did nothing when they swiped things from their opponents. Luo Enen and Jun Lansheng simply adored the thrill of cleaning their opponents out, so Gu Fenghua did not have the opportunity to help.
Their opponents could only consider themselves unlucky. It was part and parcel of the exercise after all. Also, Gu Fenghua and the others were being nice by not taking their resources. Everyone felt envious of Gu Fenghua for going through the exercise smoothly without lifting a finger.
Everything went smoothly on their way back. On the third day, they encountered someone they knew. It was the ninth prince, Lu Zixuan. Gu Fenghua was acquainted with him. He was the emperor’s favorite son. He was only 14 years old and was a handsome young man with a dignified air. He looked arresting just standing there.
“That’s the ninth prince,” Gu Fenghua and the others looked at the young man at the center of the group as they lay hidden while Jun Lansheng muttered softly. Since the ninth prince was very good-looking, he had a deep impression of him. “Are we going to rob him?” asked Jun Lansheng.
“Nope. Let’s go,” replied Gu Fenghua calmly before she turned to leave. Jun Lansheng and Luo Enen were shocked by her response. Since when was Gu Fenghua so kind as to let off her opponents?
“Fenghua, why are you letting them off? Since there are eight of them, that means eight tokens,” asked Luo Enen softly.
Jun Lansheng looked at Gu Fenghua perplexedly as well.
“I stole some candy from him when I was a kid, so I will let him off this time around,” said Gu Fenghua somewhat awkwardly.
What?
Jun Lansheng and Luo Enen opened their eyes wide in disbelief. They were clearly surprised that Gu Fenghua would have stolen candy.
“Enough. Let’s go.” Gu Fenghua rolled her eyes. It was just something she did when she did not know better.
“Gu Fenghua.” A young man’s bright youthful voice suddenly came from behind. The ninth prince and his party had spotted Gu Fenghua and her team. He instantly recognized Gu Fenghua.
“Oh my. Is he going to ask you for the candy you stole?” asked Luo Enen innocently.
“Are you stupid or what? After all these years, the candy would have melted by now.” Jun Lansheng looked at Luo Enen as though she was a retard. “I am sure he wants her to compensate by giving eight or ten more.”
Gu Fenghua was speechless and felt very stressed out for having such idiots for teammates.
“Your Highness.” Gu Fenghua turned to smile at the young prince when there was no avoiding him. “We saw the signal flare summoning us to retreat as well. Since there must be serious trouble, you ought to hurry back too. See you back at the rendezvous point.”
Before the ninth prince managed to say a word, Gu Fenghua took off with Luo Enen and Jun Lansheng.
Lu Zixuan stood where he was as he watched Gu Fenghua leave from behind and went into a daze. After he composed himself, he lowered his head and looked at the ground beneath his feet as he sighed.
Gu Fenghua walked quickly with Jun Lansheng and Luo Enen behind her. After going some distance, Luo Enen came close to her nosily and asked as she giggled, “Fenghua, why do I have a feeling there is more to it between you and the ninth prince? Considering how guilty you look, it doesn’t seem like a small matter of stealing candy.”
Gu Fenghua glanced at Luo Enen without saying a word.
“You must have stolen a lot of candy!” decided Luo Enen.
Sure enough, she should not have overestimated this idiot’s intelligence. Gu Fenghua rolled her eyes in her heart.
“Are you stupid? How can it be just candy judging from the way Fenghua ran off? I am sure it was more serious than that.” Jun Lansheng looked at Luo Enen in contempt and said smugly, “I think she must have taken his candy and a lot of other yummy food. Perhaps she even molested him.”
“Stop talking. We have to hurry back and find a good spot to ambush our opponents,” said Gu Fenghua angrily.
“Sure, sure!” This was a good suggestion, so Jun Lansheng and Luo Enen promptly agreed.
“Wow! Mistress, Big Fattie was spot on.” Little White Flower’s loud voice rang in Gu Fenghua’s head.
Gu Fenghua’s lips twitched slightly. How could she talk about the mischievous things she had done in her childhood? Gu Fenghua was once a very naughty child.
Gu Fenghua went into the palace with her older brothers when she was a child and saw the ninth prince. He was so adorable that she could not resist teasing him, so she stole his candy and pinched his face. To a certain degree, it felt as though she had molested him.
“Mistress, you sure have a keen eye. Just look at how handsome he is now that he is all grown up. He clearly wanted to catch up with you. Why did you ignore him?” Little White Flower’s nonstop chattering gave Gu Fenghua a headache.
“It’s none of your business,” scolded Gu Fenghua immediately. She was not as patient with Little White Flower.
“Boohoo. Don’t you love me anymore? I am so sad that my petals are wilting. If you keep doing this, you will end up losing me.” Little White Flower pretended to cry.
“I never wanted you to begin with, so goodbye.” Gu Fenghua’s face turned cold as she yanked Little White Flower off and tossed it behind. Vines hurriedly grew from it before it grabbed Gu Fenghua’s robes with them. It quietly went back to its place without saying a word.
Gu Fenghua and her teammates move quickly. Before long, the ninth prince was way behind them. Come lunchtime, they had an enjoyable meal before they prepared to leave.
In an instant, Gu Fenghua’s eyes turned cold as she stood up and looked at the forest up ahead.
Someone had quietly approached them.
