Chapter 2: Chapter 2 – Han Dong’s Discovery

“No wonder his ‘Head’ was stated to be inferior quality, and the required load value was so low. I’ll have to find a suitable carrier before I could consider leaving this Prison.”
But Han Dong was not in a hurry to discard the intellectually handicapped carrier. It still had a certain value, as he shifted his attention toward his left arm.
The corpse of Frank Campbell had two abnormalities.
The first was his brain, and the second was that left arm.
However, the abnormality in this left arm was considered praiseworthy.
According to the description he got in his sea of consciousness, not only was it evaluated as high quality, it even granted him the Rapid Punches technique… Han Dong was a college professor. He spent his days immersed in his laboratory and practically had no time for games. But in his pre-college days, he was also exposed to MMORPGs like World of Warcraft and The Legend of Mir 2, so he had a certain level of understanding toward such things.
“Let’s try it out!”
He threw a punch with his left arm.
*Whoosh!*
He could hear the sound of his fist penetrating through the air, even leaving behind the shadow of several punches in its wake.
“What a quick punching speed!”
Even though Han Dong was considered as a researcher, he had applied for a gym card in private… He was able to understand that this level of punching speed that he executed could very well rival that of world class boxers.
“Let’s test out the strength of my punches.”
Since this was not his own body, Han Dong was not in the least bit compassionate to it. He faced the nearby wall of the cell he was in and punched it with all his might.
*Bam!*
This punch broke skin and blood was dripping down his fist.
An approximately 1 centimeter deep imprint of his fist was left on the black rock wall… Ignoring the fact that he had no idea of the black rock’s hardness in the first place.
Han Dong hypothesized that the strength of this body’s left fist might very well be infinitesimally close to the very limit that is humanly possible.
“I can’t think any further on this… Better make haste and swap out for a carrier with a normal brain.”
After getting the gist of his current situation, Han Dong tried his best to keep a clear mind as he returned back to the ‘Processing Chamber’, so as to avoid overburdening his brain too much. In the meantime, Han Dong did not even dare to take in the prison’s overall size, keeping his head low as he walked back.
Han Dong did not dare to be reckless. In the event that he died while outside the ‘Processing Chamber’, he did not dare guarantee that he would still be alive.
Returning back to the chamber, Han Dong slowly lifted his head and found himself stunned by the scene before his eyes.
What was termed as the ‘Processing Chamber’ was completely different from the usual prison cells, as it was approximately 20 times larger than the normal cells… It was essentially a biology laboratory. What caught Han Dong’s eye was something on the table labeled as ‘Culture medium’, and he subconsciously collected this data and began making the relevant analysis.
CRAP!
*Bang!*
All he heard was the weird sound of an explosion that rocked the interior of the Processing Chamber. He lost his five senses.

You have discarded the body in the [Processing Chamber], please continue to search for a suitable carrier.

“That intellectual handicap…”
Han Dong was feeling very helpless now that he was a mass of cells again.
However, he had managed to determine something from this entire ordeal; as long as he was inside the ‘Processing Chamber’, no matter what happened to the body that he assumed control of, what constituted as himself would not be in any sort of danger.
“After finding a proper body, I must leave this prison and head into the world outside… Without being sure if I would be in any sort of danger in the outside world, I have to find a body that would be sufficiently strong and suitable to me! Or at least, a brain that can keep up with my consciousness.”
After getting a rough idea of the general situation as well as the conditions of the prison, Han Dong continued on his journey to search for a suitable body.
——————————————
Seven years. That’s right. In order to find a suitable body, Han Dong had spent seven years doing this search.
He had long since cultivated a heart that pursued perfection after all the various precise experiments and thesis writing that he had done as a college professor.
—————————————–
Seven years, three months, and twelve days. In a lone prison cell that was approximately 500 meters away from the ‘Processing Chamber’.

Mary-Tess Gerard (a pious devotee in her previous life)
This was the 139th corpse that Han Dong had interacted with.
[Head] High quality, equipped with the Holy Induction technique, load requirement: 37
[Left Arm] Normal quality, load requirement: 12
[Right Arm] Normal quality, load requirement: 14
[Torso] Inferior quality, load requirement: 33
[Left Leg] Missing, load requirement: 0
[Right Leg] Missing, load requirement: 0

“I’ve finally come across a corpse with a High quality head… But this is strange. Why does her inferior quality Torso have a load value of 33?”
A scientific researcher’s intuition was very keen.
His mass of cells very slowly assumed control of the body.
And in that instant when his five senses came alive, Han Dong became somewhat emotional.
This woman by the name of Mary-Tess Gerard must have been inhumanely treated during her lifetime.
Furthermore, his uncertainty about why her Inferior quality torso had a load value of 33 points became apparent as well.
Because the nervous system of this brain was completely active, he could very clearly sense the waves of colic pain in the woman’s stomach, most likely as a result of swallowing some indigestible foreign object during her lifetime.
Furthermore, even though the woman’s head was of exceptionally high quality, Han Dong still felt that his thoughts were being slightly hindered.
“This female devotee’s brain is predisposed towards Arts and Literature, and it doesn’t seem to be very compatible with a scientific mind like mine… It is still lacking in terms of its ability to calculate and process information, with a very apparent inhibition when it comes to analyzing problems… I guess I’ll head over to the Processing Chamber and check the torso issue first.”
Upon Han Dong’s return to the Processing Chamber, he located a clean scalpel and because the death of the body did not affect Han Dong in that place… It did not take him long to extract a key from the body, still covered in gastric juices.
“Could this be the key to that secret room in the center of the Prison?!”
The only place in this prison that was locked was the ‘Management Office’ in the center. The moment Han Dong got a hold of a key, it was only natural for him to link the two things together… Except he had yet to confirm it.
It was at this time when Han Dong activated that technique his Head possessed – ‘Holy Induction’.
Han Dong felt somewhat tired after he had expended a certain amount of mental energy.
In the next instance, a ball of holy light descended to the incision he had made to that body… Under its warm glow, he could actually see the wound swiftly mend itself at a visible rate.
After seven years of exploring the prison, Han Dong had already witnessed plenty of strange magics, but because of the limitation caused by all the carriers’ brain, he was unable to perform a more detailed analysis and understand them at a scientific level.
After his body recovered, Han Dong immediately went crawling to the room in the center of the prison. For some unknown reason, Han Dong felt a little excited, eager to learn just what was hidden in the room in the middle of the prison, “Since every prison cell and every prisoner had a detailed background and significance, then that locked room in this prison should be no exception.”
*ka chunk!*
When the key unlocked the door, the room that was originally marked red in his sea of consciousness turned gray.
“I wonder if there will be a perfect carrier inside?”
Han Song stood in front of the opened door and observed it for a moment. After confirming that there was not any sort of danger inside and that there were no signs of ‘no entry’, he used both his arms to support his torso and dragged himself in.

Now that the management office is open, you may engage in [Cell Separation] inside the management office.

Han Dong immediately began examining this secret room. It was a rather spacious steel room, and there was a thick and sturdy black metal table set inside. The four walls were plastered with drawings of the prison’s layout as well as information about some special prisoners.
Firstly, he did not find any intact carriers after a round of inspection, but he did find a head that was sealed in a hydraulic sealed glass jar.
It was very strange because this head did not have any facial features, nor did it have any hair, making it look like it was just a boiled ostrich egg.
The other thing he had discovered was quite a few research documents in the room, most of them in states of incompleteness or the critical terms and words were all smudged.
“… There’s a serious lack of information, so there’s no way that I can determine the origin of this prison or its nature. However, I can more or less tell that the purpose of constructing this prison seems to be for the containment of very special prisoners from the European region, and they were all taken into custody so as to conduct research on the cellular level. Some incident must have caused the place to turn into its present state. Hmm… This artistically inclined brain that I’ve got is capable of reading the text very quickly, even able to fill out the hidden meaning behind the words in no time… But it’s a little stuck when things need to be calculated or analyzed.”
Han Dong was rather uneasy the moment he felt that his thoughts were being limited.
Throughout these 7 years, he had not stumbled upon a decent brain for himself.
Giving up on inferring the nature of the prison, Han Dong tried to search the room for any secret information… Especially any information that would shed light on the strange head he found in here.
Using his keen and meticulous observational skills, Han Dong found a secret button that was on the leg of the metal table.
A complete document rose up from the surface of the table.
“What is this? [Subspace Containment Measures – Prison Edition]?”
