The curly haired youth’s inspiring speech had caused a certain effect on the others. The first to react was the black haired girl who was still clutching onto her crucifix.
“He’s right! The honorable Captain Curran had even successfully completed a 5-star difficulty Curse event and had even led a good portion of his team to ensure their survival. Our Lord would most definitely recognize our determination, and guide us out of this dangerous dark woods.”
It was at that moment when a voice reverberated in all their heads.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The incident has not occurred yet. Your identities are university students who are part of a film crew. Please make direct contact with the key character of this incident, Granny Wong, and head toward the location of the incident, the Abandoned Villa, together.
Anyone who fails to make contact with Granny Wong before the stipulated time, or if they refuse to get on the vehicle headed to the site of the incident, would then be forcefully erased from existence.

They had an hour to get ready. The curly haired blond youth tried to get everyone grouped up in an effort to increase their survival rate.
“We have more than enough time, so let’s introduce ourselves to one another! I’m Edward Murray… My father is a slightly renown author, so I come from a decent household background. Because of something that happened when I was younger, my left hand had turned into this.”
Edward took the initiative to remove his white glove and rolled up his sleeve, revealing a metal prosthetic with mechanical aesthetics.
His elbow, wrist, and his finger joints were all articulated with a large number of intricate gears and miniature bolts… Not only could the joints flex and move like normal, he was even able to twist and bend his prosthetic arm in ways a normal human would not be able to do.
There was also a small steam hydraulic device hidden in that streamlined metallic arm, giving him a powerful artificial limb.
“Steam prosthetics!”
It was as if the pretty blonde lady had caught hold of a lifeline, doing her utmost to show her beauty as she leaned her body in toward the young man.
Steam prosthetics was not something any commoner would be able to come in contact with. Even a middle-class family in the Holy City would have to spend quite a lot of their funds if they wish to purchase such a prosthesis.
The blonde lady’s eyes were fixed onto the curly haired youth, as she quickly followed up with an introduction of her own, “My name’s Monica Hall… My mother works in a restaurant.”
Edward smiled slightly. He did not accept the lady’s advances, nor did he shun it, maintaining a respectful distance away from her.
Since someone got the ball rolling, introductions swiftly followed.
The strongest and oldest among the team was the bald man, who sneered, “The name’s Darren, a general laborer in the parts factory. I’m good at… Punching people. D*mn it! If this was a Mutant or Monster event, I would at least still be able to face them head on! Going against an incorporeal evil spirit is truly obnoxious… Why do I have such bad luck?”
When Darren thought about this, he immediately punched the enclosure along the roadside… Of course, since he had the average human body, his fist merely made a muffled sound, and there was hardly any change to the wall.
The black haired girl who was clutching the crucifix in her hand slowly got up.
“I am Ackmann Grimm, a volunteer with the church… The Priest had promised me that when I come of age later this year, I can stay and officially work with the church. He has been very kind to me… During the duration of my work, as long as I worked overtime at night in the church, I would be able to get rewarded with ten pence.”
It was a very obvious problem with that statement. The church would not be open at night, so this overtime she spoke of was a little strange.
A youth who appeared to be calm, but was actually severely nervous inside immediately stood out after her.
He looked to be about 20 years of age, the linen shirt and coarse linen pants that he wore complemented with the newsboy cap that had a feather on the side.
“I’m Herbert Peterson… Everyone can call me Herb. I work with my father selling newspapers. I don’t have anything I’m particularly good at aside from running a bit faster than most, and being able to tell who would be willing to buy newspapers. But I’ll do my best, so I hope we can all survive this.”
This newsboy was considered the most optimistic out of the bunch here.
Finally was of course Han Dong’s turn… Han Dong’s physical fitness was probably the weakest out of the six, comparable with the thin female acolyte.
Underneath that linen shirt, the skinny as stick youth gave everyone the sense that he would fall over with a strong gust of wind.
“I’m Nicholas Valen… My body is physically weak, and I stay at home doing nothing. But whenever I’m bored, I have a certain understanding of linguistics, so I should be able to help translate.”
Han Dong had intentionally given himself a specialty; if he were to make himself appear to be useless, he might very well be rejected by his teammates. Given that he was temporarily unclear about plenty of what was happening, and his weak physical body, Han Dong needed to make himself appear at least a little useful so that he could co-exist on an equal footing with everyone. The least he could do was ensure he would not be the worst member out of the lot.
“You understand the Chinese language?” That youth with the steam prosthetics was somewhat skeptical.
“Uhm… I should have no problems engaging in basic conversation and communication.”
“That’s great! You’ll be in charge of translation later, the one who will be interacting with the key character, Granny Wong, so all of us can successfully head to the site of the incident.”
“Sure,” Han Dong accepted this task, cementing his value in the team.
Edward turned to everyone and addressed them together, “Does anyone mind if I pick up the mantle of being the team leader? I hope everyone will listen to my orders and requests regarding this incident from here on out, and I will do my best to increase everyone’s chance of survival. Anyone can raise any opinions or comments to the group and myself; as long as it is reasonable, we will definitely adopt it.”
“I agree!” the blonde haired lady, Monica Hall, was the first to be in favor of this.
Han Dong also raised his hand right after.
It was a necessity for there to be a single leader during such a group operation. From how things looked right now, Edward did have the qualifications to step up to the task.
Just as everyone raised their hands up one after another, the bald Darren had a look of contempt on him, “I’ll follow you to the site of the incident, but what I’ll do whatever I want and would not be considering anyone’s opinions.”
Edward flashed a slight smile before replying, “I understand, Darren my friend. As long as you are not doing anything that would cause harm to our teammates, you may do whatever you want.”
With that, Edward turned to Han Dong, “Associate Nicholas, shall we move out?”
“Let’s go.”
And just like that, all six members finished their introductions and were basically putting up a united front, officially embarking on their journey of horror.
For ease of memory, Han Dong mentally gave his five teammates nicknames
[Prosthetics] [Acolyte] [Blondie] [Baldy] [Newsboy]
In addition, a message that came from the Faceless One’s Head disrupted Han Dong’s plan to opportunistically take advantage of this situation.

Access to the Prison subspace within would expend plenty of spatial energy, as such, the Portable Prison would only open briefly to contain foreign objects upon activation. The subject will not be able to enter the Portable Prison autonomously.

“Sure enough, things won’t be that easy…”
