Chapter 507: Chapter 507: Acting Sick Very Quickly
She didn’t believe that Jiang Meiqi’s visit was just to ask her to move back home; if she was to move back, it probably was a temporary thought that came up abruptly.
There was always only one reason for Jiang Meiqi’s visits—Rong Weiwei.
Today, she hadn’t even mentioned Rong Weiwei yet, so she didn’t know if it was hard to say or if she was trying to intimidate her first.
Rong Yan demonstrated with her actions that she was ready to soften, as she cleared the two bottles of mineral water from the coffee table, along with the glasses, and took them into the kitchen.
Jiang Meiqi, seeing that she was effectively being shown the door, and ignored as if she didn’t exist, started to gather her things. The expression on her face was as colorful as it could be. If it weren’t for Rong Weiwei holding onto her, she would have nearly lost her temper with her temples throbbing.
“Mom, don’t…” Rong Weiwei hadn’t forgotten her purpose. If Jiang Meiqi and Mrs. Rong started arguing, that little bitch definitely wouldn’t listen to Jiang Meiqi anymore.
“Look at her attitude?” Jiang Meiqi was furious. She thought that having graced her with her visit by stepping down from her high position, Mrs. Rong would certainly be obedient and grateful.
After all, that’s how it was in the past. As long as she gave that little bastard a bit of care, she would listen to whatever she said.
But this time, before she could even get to the most important issue, the bastard wanted to kick her out. What, did she think she had climbed up the social ladder, that she was different now?
Weiwei had said this bastard had changed, and she hadn’t believed it, but now it was clear, wasn’t it? She had grown some stiff wings!
Rong Weiwei, in a soothing manner, patted her chest and softly persuaded her, “Mom, don’t get angry, the doctor said you absolutely must not get angry recently.”
Rong Yan had already come out of the kitchen and saw the two in the living room, casually asking, “Why hasn’t Mrs. Rong left yet? Shall I open the door for you?”
Jiang Meiqi trembled with rage, her face going from green to red to white, pointing at Rong Yan but unable to squeeze out a word.
Seeing this, Rong Weiwei quickly supported Jiang Meiqi, who seemed about to collapse, and with an accusing look towards Rong Yan, said, “Mom’s health isn’t good; she just came out of the hospital. Do you really have to make her so angry?”
“Mom, you should rest on the sofa for a while. I’ll go and fetch you some water; take a pill first.” She naturally helped Jiang Meiqi sit back on the sofa.
It felt as though this were her own home.
Jiang Meiqi was upset by Mrs. Rong’s sudden act of driving her away, but not to the point where she couldn’t stand firm. She was just at a loss for how to gracefully exit. Fortunately, Rong Weiwei reacted quickly by ‘supporting’ her, and she also took the opportunity to sit back down on the sofa with an ugly expression, staying silent.
“Sister, where’s the water glass and water that you just took away? I’m going to boil some hot water for mom.” Rong Weiwei entered as if she were the hostess and walked over to ask.
Rong Yan wasn’t blind; she could tell they were determined to stay put. Her lips pressed tightly together, she didn’t even acknowledge Rong Weiwei, her eyes cold as she looked directly at the lady on the sofa and spoke, “What exactly does Mrs. Rong want from me? Just say it! Otherwise, I’ll have no choice but to call 120 and get an ambulance to pick you up.”
Her decisiveness was palpable, even to Rong Weiwei.
Jiang Meiqi also sensed Rong Yan’s seriousness; the anger she had managed to suppress was almost reignited.
“I’m not joking with Mrs. Rong. You’d better think carefully about whether you want to drag this out with me, or just spit it out.”
Little Baby was still locked in the bedroom; if they continued to squat here, Little Baby couldn’t come out of the room.
This was one of the reasons why Mrs. Rong didn’t want to drag things out with them.
