My Left Eye Can See Ghosts - Chapter 47
Chapter 47: Weird Jade Bracelet
She didn’t say anything after I waited a for a long time. I was anxious.
“What happened to Teacher Four-eyes?”
“He… He’s… lustful,” Moya’s whole face was almost red after she finished speaking.
I was shocked. Teacher Four-eyes’s unpleasant leer when he looked at me crossed my mind in a flash that I couldn’t help but shudder.
Fortunately, I slipped away fast enough at that time. Otherwise, I didn’t know what would happen.
Moya took a deep breath and murmured, “I heard it from my cousin. She said that Teacher Four-eyes often finds fault with the girls for various reasons and then he has the habit of calling the girls into the office alone after self-study at night and…” She stopped again at this point.
I asked, “And what?”
“My cousin said that a girl who was often asked to stay behind by Teacher Four-eyes committed suicide. She had cut her wrists in her dormitory room. No one noticed it as all the lamps were turned off. That girl was found dead the next day. Blood was everywhere over the bed.”
My heart went pit-a-pat and I felt terrible instantly.
“I ran back to the classroom in a panic after seeing you being taken away by the Teacher Four-eyes. I felt a little uneasy. I just want to remind you to be careful…”
Moya looked nervous. I knew she was kind. I nodded and said to her, “Thank you. I will be careful, but is all of this true?”
I still couldn’t believe it.
However, I still couldn’t get over the unkind look in the eyes of Teacher Four-eyes when he was standing in front of the window in the corridor, death staring at me in today’s math class.
Undeniably, I had encountered a lecher who was also an old bastard that specifically targeted female students this time.
Moya nodded heavily, “It’s absolutely true. I won’t joke about this kind of thing, so you’d better be careful.”
“Of course, I will be careful, but Teacher Four-eyes is a bastard. His evil deeds should be made public. He has a behavior like this as a teacher, how can we study if our safety is not guaranteed?”
It was okay if I didn’t know about what Teacher Four-eyes had done. Now that I knew it, I guessed that I would not be able to concentrate on Teacher Four Eyes’s class in the future. I also could guarantee that Teacher Four-eyes would get me into trouble again and then call me into his office alone for various reasons.
There was a hint of timidity in Moya’s eyes after she heard what I said. She rubbed her hands uncomfortably and whispered, “He is a teacher. We can’t fight him.”
“Aren’t you afraid he will target you someday?” I deliberately frightened Moya. However, she lowered her head and murmured, “I can transfer to another school if worse comes to worst.”
“Escaping is not the best solution.”
She looked down and stopped talking.
Moya was different from me. She was shy and timid. Although we didn’t have much interaction, I appreciated what she said to me today.
We went to the cafeteria to have our meals and went back to the dormitory together.
The others had just settled down and started to lay down, but none of them had fallen asleep. They were all playing mobile phones, watching movies or reading books, but none of them had closed their eyes yet.
I laid back on the bed and took out my phone. Suddenly, I heard Cheng Fengfeng groan on the upper bunk. I asked her what was wrong, and she said she was hurting.
I rolled over to get out of bed and tiptoed to look up at the upper bunk.
She laid on her side, facing right at me.
“What’s the matter with you?”
“My wrist hurts. This jade bracelet is getting tighter and tighter. It’s making me uncomfortable,” She whimpered with a pale face.
I looked at the jade bracelet on her wrist again. It seemed to have become smaller again. Her wrist was swollen and bruised.
“Do I have to smash this bracelet?” she asked me.
Hu Shan and Liu Yingying all poked their heads and stared at the jade bracelet in Cheng Fengfeng’s hand.
“Why does your jade bracelet get smaller every day?” An Jing asked suspiciously. Hu Shan instantly agreed, “Yes, it looks a little smaller than when I saw it a few days ago. I have only heard of clothes shrinking. I have never seen a jade bracelet shrink.”
She stopped and laughed. Her words amused Liu Yingying.
I rolled my eyes at both of them and asked Cheng Fengfeng to get up.
Her jade bracelet must be smashed today. Otherwise, it would kill her.
She sat up feebly and crawled down the ladder slowly and carefully.
Moya and An Jing got out of bed and came close nervously and asked, “Do you need help?”
I thought for a while and said, “We have to smash the jade bracelet on Cheng Fengfeng’s hand. Who has a tool?”
“…”
“Do bricks work?” Hu Shan asked.
“Yes.”
The six of us in the same dormitory sneaked out of the dormitory and avoided the supervisor of the dormitory, and ran straight to the back of the female dormitory building.
Hu Shan found a brick, and handed it to me and said, “Here you are. You said you wanted to smash it. Do it yourself.”
I took the brick, looked around, and suggested that we go to the teaching building’s shady path. There were benches where we could sit. I found that Cheng Fengfeng looked paler than before. Her little face looked completely devoid. She stumbled all the way here as if she might fall at any time.
Moya and An Jing supported her on her left and right. Liu Yingying yawned lazily as soon as we just walked a few steps. She seemed to stand aloof from things of no personal interest, and said indifferently, “I am sleepy. I will go back to the dormitory to sleep. You all take your time.”
She left without looking back. Hu Shan smiled awkwardly at us. She waved her hand and also left quickly after she apologized.
I looked at An Jing and Moya and asked them if they wanted to go back. They looked at each other, and Moya said, “Why don’t we go back to the dormitory and smash the bracelet? We will be given a demerit if we get caught outside by the teacher who is on duty. ”
An Jing also chimed in with her, “Yeah, we will all be screwed if we get caught.”
I looked down and thought carefully. I thought that the sound of us hitting the jade bracelet with a brick in the dormitory would be loud. The people in the opposite room and the room next door would be able to hear the noise even if we didn’t disturb the dormitory supervisor. Those girls gossiped about others all day long and just waited to see you make a fool of yourself. They were the type that couldn’t wait to report you immediately, even if it was just for trivial matters. They desired to stir up trouble.
“Sixi, I can’t stand it anymore,” Cheng Fengfeng looked at me feebly. Her whole hand was bruised and swollen. I was afraid that the jade bracelet might completely block her the blood circulation if it went on like this. If it reached that point it would be troublesome.
“Forget it. Let’s just settle it on the spot,” I said.
An Jing and Moya nodded. We squatted down. An Jing and Moya firmly grasped Cheng Fengfeng’s arm and placed her palm on the ground.
I picked up the brick and aimed it at the jade bracelet on Cheng Fengfeng’s wrist and was about to hit it. However, I stopped when the brick was only a few centimeters away from the jade bracelet.
I… couldn’t do it.
The jade bracelet seemed to be embedded into Cheng Fengfeng’s flesh. I could not avoid Cheng Fengfeng’s wrist if I hit it with the brick. I was afraid of hurting her. I was worried that I couldn’t control my strength and cause more pain than she was already in.
