Chapter 17: Do You Know Her?
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Qin Nuan?
When he heard this name, Song Zhan’s fingers stopped swirling the glass of red wine that he was playing with distractedly while seated at the dining table. The corner of his lips curled upward at a barely noticeable angle.
The new actress whose acting chops were so highly raved about turned out to be Qin Nuan?
That slightly surprised him.
Shen Qinghuan observed Song Zhan’s lips as she asked, “Warm Hues Media Entertainment? Song Zhan, isn’t that the company you’re with? Do you know this female artist?”
Song Zhan drank a mouthful of wine from his glass before replying, “Yes, I do.”
Shen Qinghuan looked at Song Zhan for a while more and saw that his expression was no different from usual, so she looked away and went back to concentrate on eating.

The party only ended at 11:00 pm. It was very dark by the time Song Zhan emerged from Water & Cloud Restaurant.
Even the steamboat restaurant across the road was closed.
He Wen drove the car over, draped a jacket over Song Zhan, and asked, “Brother Zhan, did you drink a lot?”
“I’m fine. I won’t get drunk.”
Song Zhan opened the car door and sat at the back.
He Wen knew that this boss of his didn’t get drunk even after a thousand glasses of wine, but drinking too much was bad for his health. He looked helplessly at Song Zhan before walking around the car to get back into the driver’s seat.
Immediately he hopped back into the car, and then he heard a low voice that came from the backseat. “What jobs did the company get for Qin Nuan recently?”
He Wen turned to look behind him. Song Zhan leaned against the seat with his eyes closed as he used a hand to massage his temples.
He was someone brought up by the Song family and had served Song Zhan since he was a child, so he knew everything about Song Zhan.
The only thing he never understood was how Song Zhan had gone into a three-month coma 13 years ago after a car accident. After Song Zhan regained consciousness, he kept insisting on finding a girl named Qin Nuan. After they eventually found her, he didn’t seem all that interested in her.
The Song family was so confused after that and weren’t sure how to treat this Miss Qin.
Why was Song Zhan thinking about her again?
He Wen tried to test the waters. “Do you want me to ask Sister Tan?”
Song Zhan thought about it for a while and then shook his head. “Tell the ops team to send me all the latest jobs taken up by the company.”
—
To get the latest dance choreographed for them right, Bai Weiwei had stayed in the company’s dance studio till late at night.
T-SIX would be the opening act for Fruit Channel’s Dragon Boat Festival night gala in a month.
This would be her first televised appearance after returning to the country, so she was determined to shine brightly in this performance and capture the audience’s attention. She placed a great amount of importance on this particular performance.
During a break halfway through, Bai Weiwei massaged her aching heels from hours of dance practice.
She spun around to eye the team members behind her and stared at the space deliberately left in between the two of them a little longer. She tried her best to suppress the displeasure in her heart as she asked, “Xuanxuan isn’t back yet? The audition for the drama should have ended a long time ago.”
Female idol group dances required all members to coordinate and be in sync with one another. They had to practice together to achieve this.
Fang Shiying replied with an earnest expression, “Sister Weiwei, I’ve already sent Xuanxuan a reminder. She said she’s almost here.”
“Almost here…almost here… It’s almost 11:00 pm! Is she coming or not?” huffed Bai Weiwei in annoyance as she looked at her watch.
He Xin noticed that everyone was aching from dancing for such long hours and were all exhausted. She walked over to Bai Weiwei and suggested, “Team leader, it’s already almost 11:00 pm. Why don’t we stop here for the night and let everyone go back to get some rest first?”
He Xin was the original team leader of T-Girls. She didn’t say much, but she was talented and was well-liked by everyone in the team, which was why Bai Weiwei was always at odds with her.
“We’re going to perform next month, but we haven’t even gotten the dance steps right yet! If we end up dancing like crap, who’s going to be responsible for that?” Bai Weiwei bit her lower lip and looked very upset.
He Xin replied, “But as the saying goes, even an impatient person can’t eat food that’s boiling. Besides, we’ve got one more month to go, so we’ll make it in time.”
Bai Weiwei sneered coldly after hearing this. “You’re someone who’s been trained locally, all right. You don’t have any motivation at all.”
The faces of everyone in the dance studio altered slightly at the sound of these words.
Besides Bai Weiwei, who had returned from debuting in a foreign female idol group, the remaining members had all been trained within the country.
