Chapter 115.2 – The Third Princess
Xie Yuan looked at the Third Princess as if he were looking at a crazy woman, but he really did not dare to take the knife. Even if the Third Princess’s martial arts skills was mediocre, he still cared about his life. Not caring about anything else at the moment, he shouted, “Come!”
Almost as soon as Xie Yuan finished speaking, a dark figure appeared inside the room without making any sound.
Without Xie Yuan having to give any further instructions, the figure quickly went to receive the Third Princess’s attack. He was bare handed while the Third Princess was holding a knife, but the gap in power and skill was huge. Just as the two sides met each other, the short knife in the Third Princess’s hand was taken away.
Seeing an opportunity, Xie Yuan stepped forward and wrapped the whip he had grabbed around the Third Princess’s neck. Then, holding both ends of the whip with his hands, he strangled her neck and asked coldly, “Maybe you can talk to me nicely now?”
Xie Yuan was ruthless person who could abandon even his own children, how could he feel pity towards his woman? He tightened the whip around the Third Princess’s neck so tightly until she almost suffocated, before finally loosening it a bit give her a chance to breathe.
The Third Princess gasped for breath; her throat was burning with pain, and she was in a very sorry state. But the ruthlessness deep in her bones was not inferior to Xie Yuan’s – even in her current state, her gaze remained unchanged.
When she looked at Xie Yuan, there was still that deep-seated hatred, but also regret. She regretted being blinded by hatred and confronting Xie Yuan here – she knew she should’ve gone to the palace and ask the Emperor to bring justice!
The four burly men fighting with Meng Fei nearby had already discovered the situation and wanted to break through Meng Fei to protect her, but this time it was Meng Fei who held them back and wouldn’t let them leave. The sound of fighting continued for a while, but it didn’t manage to alert outsiders.
Xie Yuan had anticipated this long ago and didn’t care about anything else. He clenched his whip again and pulled the Third Princess closer to him, asking in his usual gentle voice, “Hongyi went to Liang State by himself and was killed by the people of Liang. Ayana, tell me, who is misleading you and whispering things to your ear?”
The Third Princess gritted her teeth and remained silent, still glaring fiercely at Xie Yuan.
Xie Yuan’s heart sank completely, and his gloomy black eyes flashed with a murderous intent. But if the Third Princess suddenly died right now, he might get into a lot of trouble. Shouldn’t that person be too busy right now? Why are there still people targeting him?!
Xie Yuan was temporarily in a daze thinking about those things, and the Third Princess seized this opportunity to stomp heavily on Xie Yuan’s feet. Xie Yuan felt the pain, and instinctively relaxed his grip a little. The Third Princess who was waiting for this opportunity broke free and ran away.
The shadow was about to chase, but Xie Yuan stopped him. His gaze was deep as he looked at the figure running out of the courtyard and said, “She can’t leave!”
This was the prime minister’s mansion, and the guards in the mansion were all loyal to Xie Yuan. But with the Third Princess’s noble status, they would not do anything else. But Xie Yuan didn’t need to do anything else. When he walked out of the courtyard and ordered the mansion gates closed immediately, even the Third Princess couldn’t get out.
But the Third Princess was fierce by nature. In the past, she only obeyed Xie Yuan half due to sincerity and half because of the situation. But now she accidentally learned that her son had been persecuted by her own husband, and the intense hatred had already overturned her previous restraint. She became the strong-tempered daughter of the grasslands again.
Xie Yuan closed the mansion’s gates to prevent her from leaving. But even if she had to die, she would kill her way out!
What she thought in mind, the Third Princess carried out in reality. When she found someone blocking her way, she drew the guard’s blade without saying a word and slashed him! After one came, others followed, and she really went on a bloody path.
Of course, the reason the Third Princess was able to leave so smoothly was ultimately because of her identity, which made the guards of the prime minister’s mansion afraid to take action.
When Xie Yuan arrived and saw the blood spread all over the ground and all the injured guards, his face became increasingly gloomy. He took another look at the Third Princess who were still fighting fiercely and immediately ordered, “Take her down, dead or alive!”
The guards of the prime minister’s mansion were shocked when they heard this order. Taking down the princess was already out of line, but dead or alive?
Many people were horrified, but as Xie Yuan said, this was the prime minister’s mansion, and no one dared to disobey his commands. So even if the guards were frightened, the gradually surrounded the Third Princess and no longer retreated blindly.
But because of the Third Princess’s identity, the guards were just obstructing her, but the Third Princess did not hesitate at all. She fought fiercely, and her eyes showed her determination. Beneath Xie Yuan’s gentle and elegant appearance was hidden a ruthless heart. Ayana knew that from the moment Xie Yuan wrapped a whip around her neck, he must have had murderous intentions. It was useless to compromise and beg for mercy!
Gradually, the guards also became angry. When the first blade fell on the Third Princess, the rest seemed much easier to follow.
The wounds on the Third Princess’s body gradually increased, and her own blood gradually soaked into her clothes. Even so, she did not compromise. She swung her blade fiercely, forcing the guards opposite her to attack even harder.
When the Third Princess finally fell down, her whole body was dripping with blood, and there was hardly any unharmed spot other than her face.
But when she fell, she had a smile on her face. A hateful gaze was trained on Xie Yuan’s direction, as if saying, “Look, I’m dead. I’ve died so tragically, but how can you explain this?”
Author notes:
Look, a counterattack is a process of give and take, so you can’t think that Little Lu and the Princess are just doing nothing. They just did it quietly without anyone else knowing. Just to make it clear, in the previous chapter, the talkative young attendant was arranged by Little Lu and disrupted Xie Yuan’s plan. You don’t think she’s useless anymore, right?
