My Wife Is The Final Boss - Chapter 34
Chapter 34 Shallow
“This is the teleportation array.” Xu Chang’an brought Yun Qian to a platform and took out his token.
“It’s like this.” Xu Chang’an briefly taught Yun Qian how to use the jade token to activate the teleportation array. “Try it. You don’t have to use spiritual power. As long as you have the jade token, it’s fine.”
Xu Chang’an was like an old father who was teaching his younger daughter how to use equipment.
Yun Qian was already used to it. She followed Xu Chang’an’s instructions and gently pressed the jade token.
“Buzz…”
Following the seven-colored light, several rows of options appeared in front of Yun Qian. There were hundreds of lines.
These were all teleportation points for mountains or sects.
Yun Qian saw the Sunset Peak where Xu Chang’an would be at a glance. Unfortunately… other than the marks of Tianming Peak and the public area, the marks of all other places were dark.
“Miss has just entered Morning Cloud and doesn’t have enough authority.” Xu Chang’an explained briefly and said, “Just go to Tianming Peak.”
Yun Qian reached out and gently tapped the mark of Tianming Peak.
After a moment of weightlessness, she and Xu Chang’an disappeared from the spot.
On Tianming Peak, the sky was high, and the birds spread their wings and flew high. Yun Qian and Xu Chang’an appeared on the teleportation array.
The moment she came down, Xu Chang’an asked, “Miss, are you feeling unwell?”
It was her first time taking the teleportation array. When she came down, she felt nauseated.
“Not feeling well? No.” Yun Qian shook her head.
“That’s good.” Xu Chang’an nodded. Actually, this was his first time coming to Tianming Peak. He looked into the distance and observed the terrain through the dense forest.
It was difficult to feel the steepness here without coming here personally.
Looking around, there was no curve on the mountain at all. It was as smooth as a sword splitting open. Below was a bottomless abyss.
Not only did the surrounding clouds not give her a sense of security, but they also made her feel a little shaky.
Only then did Xu Chang’an realize that the abyss was not a natural barrier at all. It was formed by a mountain being split open by a sword.
“The environment… isn’t bad.” Xu Chang’an coughed dryly. “We’re on the first floor of Tianming Peak now. The disciples here are basically people who have come from the mortal world; they have yet to cultivate, or open their mouths.”
Unlike the deserted white jade platform from before, they could already see people noticing them in the distance. There were pavilions everywhere and many disciples.
However, after seeing the deacon card on Xu Chang’an’s waist, they retracted their gazes and went to do what they had to do.
Actually, most outer sect disciples were not qualified to become deacons.
… .
Xu Chang’an brought Yun Qian into the main hall of Tianming Peak and found the manager.
There were mountains of dossiers on the desk. The middle-aged woman was grading them. She had thin lips and phoenix eyes. It was obvious that she had a mean and serious personality.
Xu Chang’an and the middle-aged woman looked at each other. The other party’s gaze swept past the deacon token on his waist, and her expression became much better.
She had an impression of the inner manager of the Three Gong Rocks of Sunset Rain Peak. He was a very capable and careful person.
The middle-aged woman looked at Yun Qian beside Xu Chang’an and asked, “What’s the matter?”
“We are entering the sect,” Xu Chang’an said as he handed over the jade token Zhu Pingniang had given him.
“Miss Zhu?” The middle-aged woman was a little surprised. She looked at Yun Qian and then reached out to tap on the jade token. A panel appeared on the jade token. She picked up a pen in the air and a stream of light flashed across the tip of the pen. She asked, “Name?”
“Yun Qian.” Xu Chang’an immediately said, ” ‘Yun’ as in ‘cloud’; ‘Qian’ as in ‘shallow’ or ‘light’.”
“The middle-aged woman frowned, but she still wrote Yun Qian’s name on it. Then, she asked, “How old are you?”
“Age?” Xu Chang’an and Yun Qian looked at each other. Then, he said hesitantly, “25… No, 24.”
He didn’t know how old Yun Qian was. Every time he asked, she would brush him off.
To be honest, after being on the island for seven years, he felt that his wife seemed to have aged a year or two… Xu Chang’an didn’t even know if it was because of Yun Qian’s change in temperament.
However, the age of cultivation was not too important. Other than some special cultivation techniques, it was not like practicing martial arts where the earlier the better.
The middle-aged woman looked at Yun Qian’s calm eyes and met Xu Chang’an’s gaze.
“Are you her guide?” The middle-aged woman’s tone was rather unfriendly. “Yun Qian, right? I’m asking her, not you.”
Xu Chang’an explained, “She’s my wife. She just entered Chaoyun… and isn’t very familiar with this place.”
His attitude was generous and he had no intention of hiding anything.
The middle-aged woman was stunned. She sized up the delicate Xu Chang’an and frowned. In the end, her expression softened a little. She said to Xu Chang’an, “If you want to be an immortal, you have to understand everything. You should understand this.”
“I entered Sunset Rain Peak. I’m not particular about cutting off my past ties,” Xu Chang’an said.
“Sunset Rain Peak… That’s true.” The middle-aged woman nodded and didn’t say anything else.
She had no requirements for the girl’s personality. Yun Qian was a quiet person, and the middle-aged woman was not flattering her.
Putting aside her cultivation level, there was actually no difference in status between her and Xu Chang’an. They were both outer sect deacons.
The middle-aged woman picked up her pen and added another stroke to the page. At the same time, she said, “Most of the places in the North Court are still empty. Since she’s your wife, I won’t arrange for a girl to bring her around. You’ll be more careful when you do it yourself.”
“Thank you.” Xu Chang’an bowed slightly, then took the jade token and left with Yun Qian.

After Xu Chang’an left, the middle-aged woman looked at Yun Qian’s and a trace of surprise flashed across her eyes.
“What a pretty girl.”
To be honest, there were all kinds of people in the Chaoyun Sect. It was not a good thing for someone as beautiful as Yun Qian. Some people who did not follow the rules might do something bad to her.
Xu Chang’an was an outer sect deacon, but he had such a wife. There would be a lot of trouble.
But then again.
This was someone sent by Zhu Pingniang. Everyone had to show some deference.
When Xu Chang’an was sent to Sunset Rain Peak by Zhu Pingniang, everyone resisted, but he was also safe and sound.
Although she said that, she should keep an eye on Yun Qian and try her best to suppress the signs of trouble in advance.
It was also her duty.
“I’ve seen Manager Qin a few times. She’s indeed a good person.” Xu Chang’an held Yun Qian’s hand and walked towards the North Park.
Yun Qian did not reply. She thought about Xu Chang’an’s introduction.
Shallow clouds…
She still preferred what Xu Changan had said to her when he first learned how to read. “‘Yun’ as in ‘Clouds of rain’, ‘Qian’ as in ‘shallow of beached’.”
She was indeed stranded now, like a small boat blown by the wind at the shallow part of the riverbed, unable to continue sailing.
Yun Qian suddenly stopped in her tracks. She looked at Xu Chang’an’s puzzled gaze and asked seriously, “After staying here, how often can we meet?”
She still wanted a child.
