Chapter 673: 673, Outrageous Wanwan: The hospital is really subpar!
Suddenly, Shi Minyan stood up and rushed to the bed, “Huanhuan, do you really not remember what happened six years ago?”
Shi Huan shook her head.
Shi Minyan asked again, “Then do you remember, how you returned to the Shi Family?”
How did she return to the Shi Family?
Tilting her head, Shi Huan recalled carefully, “I remember that one day, Grandpa suddenly came to the orphanage, and then he brought me back to the Shi Family.”
“What about other things? Don’t you remember anything else? Do you remember me being your teaching assistant?”
Shi Huan looked at him, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, her beautiful apricot eyes clear and bright.
Then, she slowly shook her head.
Shi Minyan let out a bitter laugh.
She couldn’t remember.
She really didn’t remember.
She had forgotten not only the pregnancy and childbirth but also, incidentally, the relationship between him and her.
What does this mean?
“Little Uncle? What’s wrong with you?” Shi Huan asked.
Her expression was concerned, and her eyes were as clear as ever, not at all like pretending.
However, Shi Minyan felt overwhelmingly ironic.
He turned around.
He walked out of the ward in a mechanical manner.
Shi Huan looked at Chu Xiuhuang, “What’s wrong with him?”
Chu Xiuhuang narrowed his eyes, his handsome face contemplative.
But soon after, he sat down at the side of the bed.
He lifted up his hand and naturally held her little hand.
Shi Huan: “…”
She tried to pull her hand back.
After all, the little nurse was still standing there. But Chu Xiuhuang held her hand so tightly that she couldn’t get it free.
Meanwhile, his deep, magnetic voice rang out, “You heard what your uncle said just now, didn’t you? Do you still doubt Luoluo’s identity?”
Shi Huan didn’t say anything.
Chu Xiuhuang chuckled softly, “Do you want to see Luoluo?”
He glanced at the time, “It’s noon, school should be over. Should I go pick up Luoluo? We could have a meal together as a family.”
A family?
Shi Huan felt like she was dreaming.
She had been Chu Xiuhuang’s secretary for over five years, only to find now that they had a child together six years ago, and that child was Luoluo.
It was simply amazing.
“Why aren’t you saying anything?” Chu Xiuhuang’s voice was unnaturally gentle, “You’re not going to reject me, are you? Do you want to make Luoluo a child without a mother? Do you want her to be laughed at by other children as a burden?”
“No…” Shi Huan said hesitantly, “Well… if you want to get married, let’s get married.”
Luoluo was her child with Chu Xiuhuang, it seemed like she couldn’t refuse this marriage.
Even though she felt that she and Chu Xiuhuang were from two different worlds and the Chu Family’s situation was complicated.
But for the child’s sake, marriage seemed the best option.
Chu Xiuhuang didn’t know about her thoughts. All he knew was that Little Huanhuan had finally agreed to marry him and he was very happy.
Shi Huan: “…”
She blushed.
Could he not be so enthusiastic for no reason?
There was even a nurse watching on the side.
“I am so happy.” Chu Xiuhuang was excited beyond measure, “I will go pick up Luoluo now. Wait for me here.”
“Okay.” Shi Huan blushed and nodded.
Chu Xiuhuang stood up satisfied, “Alright, I’m leaving.”
Not until Chu Xiuhuang had left did Shi Huan glance over and see the nurse blushing beyond belief.
She lowered her head, wishing she could crawl into a hole.
**
Chu Xiuhuang drove away from the hospital and, at the gate, he passed a red car.
After parking the car, Su Wanwan got out with a large bouquet of pink roses.
Today was Friday. Because there were classes at school, she had taken the day off from work at the television station and decided to visit Shi Huan at the hospital during lunch.
She had just stepped out of the elevator on the 20th floor when her phone rang.
It was a WeChat message from Mo Weiyi, “Wanwan, I’m almost at the hospital, where are you?”
Su Wanwan replied, “20th floor, come on, I’m waiting for you.”
“Okay.”
Two nurses walked down the corridor. At first, Su Wanwan didn’t pay any attention, until she heard one of the nurses say,
“I was just taking Miss Shi’s temperature, you won’t believe what I saw?”
The older nurse asked, “What?”
“As soon as I opened the door, I saw Young Master Chu kissing her!”
“Oh my god, are you serious!”
Su Wanwan came to a halt.
Chu Xiuhuang and Shi Huan were kissing?
Holy crap!
Did these two start to see each other’s true colors in adversity?
Next.
“Master Chu is really a good man, he doesn’t mind at all that Miss Shi has been slept with by five different men.”
“Miss Shi really had it rough. If that happened to me, I would’ve jumped off a building.”
“But Master Chu doesn’t seem bothered by it. They’re about to get married!”
“Really?”
“Are you starting to feel envious?”
“Not particularly, but having been slept with by five different men is just…”
“Stop right there!”
The sharp rebuke startled the two nurses.
When they saw Su Wanwan, they froze even more.
Su Wanwan immediately pulled out her phone and dialed a number, “Mistress, 20th floor, get here now!”
Nangong Ci asked, “What happened, sister-in-law?”
Su Wanwan hung up without a word.
Nangong Ci on the other end was completely baffled.
…
The two young nurses hadn’t a clue what was happening. Seeing Su Wanwan’s face, however, they knew it wasn’t good and tried to leave by pressing the elevator button.
But…
“Stay where you are! None of you are going anywhere!”
Su Wanwan said this and then went ahead and grabbed one of the nurse’s arms, forcefully pulling her around, “You think you can leave after you’ve finished gossiping? Since when is it so easy to get away with it?”
The young nurse staggered and almost fell over.
She leaned against the wall, her face pale with fright and couldn’t help but retort, “Who the hell are you? Does our chatter bother you?”
“Not your chatter, but your badmouthing behind the back of my friend! That I can’t stomach!”
Friend?
The young nurse started to panic.
Damn it!
They were just casually chatting some gossip while walking, and it got overheard by Shi Huan’s friend.
“What do you want?” another older nurse asked.
Su Wanwan’s stunning phoenix eyes narrowed, “If this wasn’t a hospital, I would’ve slapped you two a hundred times! Let’s see if you dare to badmouth others after that!”
The young nurse’s face paled instantly.
The older nurse was adamant, “On what grounds are you chastising us? The whole hospital knows about this matter. We’re merely having a chat, we didn’t insult her, nor was it badmouthing, right?”
“You’re still talking!” Su Wanwan stepped forward and raised her right hand sharply.
“Ah!” The young nurse screamed in a flash.
But Su Wanwan quickly put her hand down.
The older nurse immediately said, “This is a hospital, no place for your tantrums!”
Su Wanwan scoffed, “Mistress, you handle this.”
Mistress?
“Sister-in-law, what happened?”
A familiar male voice sounded, and the two nurses were aghast when they saw who had arrived.
Damn it!
The deputy director had come all the way here, and he even called this young lady “sister-in-law”?
Su Wanwan spoke directly, “I only found out today that the standards of your hospital are so low! What kind of employees do you hire that do nothing but gossip about others behind their backs all day long?”
Nangong Ci asked, “Sister-in-law, what did they do to upset you?”
He had taken the stairs directly up.
Originally, he was buying a drink at the 18th-floor cafe. Suddenly, he received a call from Su Wanwan. She seemed really angry, which scared him so much he didn’t dare to take the elevator…
“It’s not me they’ve offended!” Su Wanwan was so angry that her shoulders were shaking slightly, “It’s Huanhuan! What happened to her was tragic enough, but they still gossip about it here! You are the deputy director of this place. You tell me, how should employees who talk behind patients’ backs, exposing their wounds and violating their privacy, be handled?”
After hearing all this, Nangong Ci understood what had happened.
He looked at the two nurses, his expression severe, “Didn’t I say before that gossiping about patients during work hours was not allowed? Did you take my words as a mere breeze?”
Seeing the situation turn sour, the two nurses quickly began to apologize:
“Deputy Director, I was wrong.”
“I didn’t mean it.”
“Deputy Director, please forgive me this time…”
Before Nangong Ci could speak, Su Wanwan interjected, “Just now you were quite excited to gossip, why the sudden wilt?”
The two nurses lowered their heads, not daring to speak.
Nangong Ci was shocked beyond belief.
Wilt?
Damn, what kind of fiery language is sister-in-law using?
How the hell did my brother educate his wife?
