Chapter 790: Chapter 346 The Arrogance of Darren Callum, Blood of Demon God_2
Jack Clark pondered, “Population, you mean we don’t have enough cultivators.”
Hannah Gail nodded, “Exactly. Although the method for body casting has become widespread, resulting in an explosion in the base number of cultivators in the last decade, we’ve expanded to more than ten million overall.”
“Over ten million cultivators, but only just over three million are recorded as having reached or surpassed the Foundation Establishment stage, and that includes those in the military who cultivate only their Qi Blood for operating firepower equipment, standard soldiers.”
“Besides, three million might sound like a lot, but excluding a portion stationed within Blue Star’s Inner World maintaining order, only about three million enter the mythical world.”
“Out of these three millions, a part is allocated for logistics maintenance, production, mineral and resource excavation, so only about two million are actually on the front lines.”
“These soldiers are then divided among thirty-one army corps, where each one can barely muster seventy thousand, and most of them are Senior ordinary soldiers.”
“However, don’t look down on our Human Race army because of the numbers; in combination with the Mecha Corps, short-range drones, unmanned fortresses, and long-range firepower strikes as a multi-faceted approach, we fear not even the mighty Purgatory Demon Race on the battlefield.”
“The strain on logistics is considerable due to these measures, so there’s continuous heavy mining for minerals and resources, requiring many to work in production and management.”
Jack nodded, his gaze falling on some kids playing in the distance, “So those are part of the Federation’s population program?”
Hannah affirmed, “Exactly, those children are called new humans, descendants of cultivators who have been stationed here for long periods. They are born, grow up, and learn in the mythical world.”
“Just that…”
At this point, Hannah showed a bitter smile, “Whether it’s the World Rules or something about the mythical world itself, these children have very stable talents, just like the creatures from the mythical world.”
“Their physiques at birth already meet the standards for Foundation Establishment. After the age of five, they are comparable to First Layer Heaven, and every one of them can perform True Martial Cultivation. Initially, under the rich Heavenly Energy, they progress quickly.”
“But as soon as they break through to the Fourth Layer Heaven, their cultivation progression slows down tremendously, infuriatingly slow.”
Jack raised an eyebrow, “Is it because of issues related to the Spiritual Will?”
After the Fourth Layer Heaven, cultivators have to not only absorb Heavenly Energy and transform it into True Strength but also temper their will, merging spirit and True Strength to gradually comprehend Heaven and Earth.
“Precisely.”
Hannah nodded, “Those born in the mythical world have very stable spiritual wills, as unwieldy as those Mutated Creatures, difficult to mobilize.”
“Despite decades of trials, the strongest among the new humans has barely made a breakthrough to the high-order Eight Layer Heaven, let alone reached the Ninth Heavens or become a King-level strong man.”
“However, these new humans do have their advantages. They have a significant edge when it comes to Body Refinement, with basic adult physiques reaching Fifth Layer or even Sixth Layer Heaven.”
“But because it’s only Body Refinement, merely having the physique, they are far outclassed in strength compared to peers who are Martial Arts Cultivators of the same level, so they mostly work in logistics, production, and management.”
“However, since cultivators face difficulties in reproducing, after years of development, there are approximately more than five million new humans here in the mythical world.”
“Nevertheless, the official research on the reproduction issue has continuously made some progress, and recently I’ve heard that there has been a breakthrough, which should accelerate the growth in numbers of new humans.”
While they talked, the kids playing nearby cast curious glances at them.
Then the two came to a hollow formed by tree branches, and Hannah’s surroundings were enveloped in a silver radiance as they surged toward the sky.
Whoosh Whoosh!!
They flew all the way up and soon arrived at the ten-thousand-meter-high clouds, where many office buildings were constructed between tree trunks tougher than alloy.
Among these buildings, Cloud Mist swirled around, and the radiance from the tree leaves glittered, akin to a fairyland.
Hannah introduced, “This is the office area of the Seventh Corps.”
“The Exploration Department is divided into the inner and outer circles. Our Seventh Corps’ inner circle extends over five thousand kilometers, encompassing areas that have been explored and are relatively safe.”
“Regular soldiers from the army are responsible for clearing out the Mutant Beasts around Resource Points and mining sites to ensure the safety of transportation routes.”
“And us, high-level cultivators, form pioneering teams responsible for exploring deeper into the outer circle, expanding the Human Territory.”
As they spoke, Hannah led Jack around and eventually brought him to the top floor office, where a silver-haired youth was behind a desk, reviewing documents.
Hannah respectfully said, “Uncle, I’ve brought the person back.”
Jack also greeted politely, “I’ve seen King Cyril.”
The silver-haired youth put down the documents, gave a slight nod to Hannah, “You’ve worked hard, Hannah.”
“Not at all, it’s my duty.”
The silver-haired youth looked at Jack, smiling, “Mr. Jack, no, around here you’re just Jack. Elder Brother Larry has already briefed me, if you need anything while here just let me know.”
The attitude of the silver-haired youth towards Jack made even Hannah envy.
Despite being a ‘genius’ who broke through to Eight Layer Heaven by his early twenties and awakening the bloodline of a Descendant of the King, he still did not dare to be negligent in front of these king-level strong men.
Below king-level and being a king are completely different concepts; unless one becomes a king, they do not have the right to be on equal footing with them.
As for geniuses, every year the Human Alliance produces heaps of cultivators who reach the Eight and Nine Layers Heaven, but almost none of them break through to king-level.
